: CLEARWATER, Fla. - (AP) The son of professional wrestler Hulk Hogan was seriously injured in a car crash Sunday night, police said.
A Toyota Supra driven by Nick Bollea was traveling at a high rate of speed at approximately 7:30 p.m., Clearwater Police spokesman Wayne Shelor said. Bollea, which is Hogan's real name, lost control and hit a raised median. The car flipped around, and the back end hit a palm tree.
"The car was destroyed," Shelor said.
Bollea and an unidentified male passenger were extricated from the car by paramedics, Shelor said. Then they were airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Their official conditions were not immediately available, but Shelor described the injuries of both men as serious.
The crash occurred on State Route 60, a main drag through downtown Clearwater. The road had to be shut down in both directions for several hours, Shelor said.
Alcohol is not believed to have played a part in the crash. The crash seems to have been caused by excessive speed, Shelor said.
Bollea appears on the reality TV show "Hogan Knows Best" with his father, mother and sister.

Nick Bollea, aka Nick Hogan, is "ok" and out of the hospital after a serious car accident, according to TV personality Bubba The Love Sponge, but Nick's friend John Graziano is not.
Nick Bollea, better known as Nick Hogan and star on 'Hogan Knows Best', has been seriously injured along with friend John Graziano, who was the only passenger when Nick crashed last ***. Nick Bollea is the son of professional wrestler Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea.
The severe accident, which left Nick's car smashed and destroyed, also left Nick and John injured - but it seems Nick is "ok" - and John "needs our prayers".
Radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge wrote in his blog early Monday:
Hulk Hogan been trying to convince his son to be careful when driving. I've watched "HOGAN KNOWS BEST" and he always trying to convince Hulk Hogan to let him get the car to drive. This dude isn't that old, he just looks like he's old but he's only like 18yrs. of age. He's kinda on the wild side anyway... but I hope when he heals he learns a valuable lesson.
***!! That's ridiculous. Real life is not a game of Need for Speed!!!!! You don't just come back with a new car and have to start over when you crash. He should have really took his actions into consideration cause could have killed himself, his friend, or an innocent person. My prayers go out to John! Get well soon!! I hope he pulls out of this..hopefully he will learn his lesson from this dumb move he made..hes a kid and kids dont realize how serious driving is..they still think of it as fun and games..I like the Hogans and I thought it was sad that Hulk and his wife were talking about getting a divorce..hopefully this will bring everyone together..he seems like a good kid, he did a stupid thing and god gave him a second chance..hope he doesnt *** it up..I also feel for the passenger, I hope hes makes it through

This is a great example and reason why kids should always listen to their parents.I watched the TV series and one one episode Hulk Hogan told his son to not drive so fast or else he'll get hurt.He even showed him a graphic video of the consequences of speedy diving just so he can get it.I guess the only way you can learn is if ya get hurt.Its too bad it happened but you should always listen.

I have to say that this season on Hogan Knows Best, Nick seems a little out of it..he used to be a spunky teenage boy always smiling and joking around with his dad and his sister..this season it looks like hes just laying around like a lump, on his cell phone all the time..he looks bored..these celebrity kids dont have the world at their feet..all they do is try to look for the next fun or cool thing to do..after you done did everything there is to do, you have to take it to another level..their days are full of boredom because they dont have jobs and dont go to school so they get mixed up in all this nonsense
Actually Nick was blessed to walk away with minor injuries. He was released not long after and is standing vigil with his friend. The passenger is listed under critical condition. I live in the neighboring city where this all happened and it is notorious for car and motorcycle drag racing. Maybe now they will do something about it! My prayers go out to the family.

Really sad...but the ironic thing is that Hulk Hogan, on an episode from the first season of Hogan Knows Best, actually took this kid to the highway patrol when he found out that he burned rubber out of the driveway, and made him watch a video that showed dead kids from high speed and DUI accidents. He turned right around and almost killed himself doing precisely what he was warned not to do. Dumb *** kids. Birth control is a beautiful thing.
Why do white people love to car race I believe they be high and drunk. But I hope he get well though. But dang why can't people act like they have sense when they drive. Don't he know he could have kill someone else. He could have killed someone else that's why now days you have to drive for yourself and everyone else.
