: MediaTakeOut.com got a hold of the cutest pics ever. Zahara is turning into a little fashionista right before our eyes....
AWww.....that is just too precious!!! I can't stand Angelina's home-wrecking ***, but I can admit that one, they are too cute, and two, her and Brad has really got a lot of love for Zahara because you always see her of all the kids tagging along. It's a beautiful thing!!!
www.myspace.com/tashawnabruenton
Does any child's hair actually stay straight all day long? Hell, most grown up's hair doesn't even look perfect all day long. Give the woman a break, she is a mom. Her child can't be camera ready every time she leaves the house. I wish all of you stupid haters just *** up. ***, they look happy and cute.
@ Mocha,
I don't understand why my comment was ignorant. I think its ignorant that we are saying this child who Angelina adopted and carrying a matching pruse is cute. ITS NOT CUTE. What would be cute if Angelia would do something with her hair. I understand kids from that culture have *** hair but a bottle of pink lotion and a brush go a long way. If that was Shaquasia from the PJ's who did that you would talk about her.
i got mad props for angie, she is adopting children, she has enough money to have as many children as she wishes!!! yet, she is choosing to save children from poverty, rape, genocide etc. z's hair looks fine, she is always clean and smiling. if we never saw pics of the child, then you would talk about that. be satisfied and let the fam be.
Any grownup that would talk about a child's hair has nothing better to do in life. What is she supposed to get her some hair-extensions or put in a weave? That's her natural hair and she has a couple of cute pig tails, that's the way little girls should wear their hair. Now when she gets older if she chooses to do something with accentuations then that's fine, but right now she's a little girl that has a life that she would never have had in her country. Much respect for Angelina and Brad....stop hating on a toddler!!!
thats sooooo adorable!!!!! Angelina just wants to give her kids the best life possible..so I admire her for that..look at where these kids came from..shes probably overcompensating a little but you cant blame her..plus shes got the money to do it..ANGELINA, YOU NEED TO START EATING BABY GIRL!!!! she is way too skinny these days..she needs to make sure shes around to see all of her kids grow up..I hope she gets it together because shes looking sick these days
People keep speaking about that childs hair, leave that baby hair alone and let it grow out, that is the problem with some of you ghetto azz ppl, you put perms and all that junk in your babies hair before it's time, all that weave in your children hair is not cute thats hoochie...let them be innocent
Zahara is a darling and look simply like how any two-year old should messy. Someitmes we as black ppl are too superifical and this superfiicality and empahsis on things that do not matter is what has held us back for too long. This child's hair is just fine and the bigger thing we should be concentrating on is that she has a family and a name and belongs to somebody, something she didnt have in the orphanage. These ppl carry their kids because they dont want the Papparrazis to ge to close to them. I am loving those bags, too cute.
Now, there was a pic a few weeks ago of baby Z with her hair uncombed and I said that Angie should have made sure the child's hair was done before sending her out into the world. I got all types of flack about that comment. People were saying that I "hate myself" and that "We should focus on the fact that baby Z has been taken out of poverty and into a nice home" and "she's just a baby and her hair type is the kind that is easily mussed." I didn't pursue it because I didn't want to go to war (as folks often do on this site) about some hair grease and a brush.
NOW, we see a pic of this child with a designer handbag and I have to ask: What's more important? That this child have a loving home? That this child's hair be done when she goes out in public? Or that this child rocks designer styles and be exposed to a materialistic lifestyle? All of those folks that was talking all that trash before need to eat their words cause ya'll comments are wrapped up tightly in this handbag. (Except SBW--you're one of the only sensible ones and I have no problems with you). Everybody else, especially old girl that said I hate myself and have a plantation mentality for wanting the child's hair done, can kiss my a$$. How's that for materialism?
Angie spends a lot of her time, not to mention millions of dollars to help others, so if she wants to treat herself and her kids to some designer stuff she has every right to :)
I think Angie is wearing herself too thin...4 kids, movies, charity work, dealing with a death of her mother..some people gain weight under stress and others loose it. Angie falls in the latter category.
The second pic looks a lil weird..like the bag was photoshopped in..
@Sassytou- *** how babies do you know whose hair stays in place all day long. Maybe when they left the house it didnt look that way, you dont know what they might have been doing before they took the pic.
I think that its so *** ignorant how people talk about little kids like that. Go Ahead Zahara WORK THAT CUT BAG wit your cute self!!!!
@crazybaby, pleeze tell me what needs to be done with this child's hair. It's not peasy, it's not dry and dirty, and it's not all over her head. Please just tell me what needs to be done? I have 2 daughters one had hair at that age, the other had 2 spots like Z has in her ponytails. What needs to be done?
Hi, All I don't post very much but wanted to comment here. First, Zahara is a beautiful black queen and if ANYONE ever took the time to notice, she always always looks happy. She also has very pretty hair. I have seen so many pics of her and she has curly hair that does not all fit into her ponytails so sometimes the curls are out which some would call 'not combed'. Also, I saw someone asked why she never carries Shiloh, I have seen pics of her carrying Shiloh but the most beautiful and the most 'snapped pics' are of her FATHER WHO IS PRESENT carrying his little mini me. Sure, she can gel that babies hair and make it stay in place to appease haters but no one can say that this is not a happy child. Something is being done right somewhere. She carries her children even Maddox at his side and she always looks like love is carrying the wait. So much going on in the world please don't set your sights on the Black Queen's hair. Her hair is beautiful. And think about it, she or Brad are always carrying them and not a NANNY. I applaud.
SMH.. Ya cant please em all can ya Angie...
If she permed the childs hair, you'd swear she was Europeanizin' her and tryna make her heritage less obvious..
This child is loved, which is most important, and has no financial worries to mention in the near future.
As far as Pink oil..That man-made ish clogs your pores and does more damage than good..Research it.
Ya can't find anything WORTH criticizin, cause there really isnt, and she takes *** good care of those children. So, I can see why some of yall done gone Mr Magnificent and started reachin for ***....lol
It's not too many white women LET ALONE rich white women that want to adopt black kids. I am not shocked though that she wanted to because, Angie is a great person she reminds me of Princess Diana. But, on the other hand forget about the bags wow, she's EXTREMELY skinny right now. Just BONEY like her legs look like arms.
@lacosteboi79, yes, im glad you said that about the weave..why do people keep talking about this BEAUTIFUL BABY and they always have to say her hair is nappy? I mean it doesnt look nappy to me, and if it were, SO WHAT!. Now I do think they should have somone teach Angie just how to comb it lol because its usually a mess. But again, shes a child. Leave her alone. I mean, she went from having a slim chance to having a great and privliged life! Wish it were me. And she seems so happy. I think this child is getting lots of love. Save for all of the pics that are taken of them on a daily basis, I dont see the Brad and Angie feel like that have to keep up with the Jonezes. They really seem normal to me, expcept they are movie stars, but dont seem to be flamboyant at all(like the rest of hollywood)
Hats off to Angelina for all she has done with regards to her Kids. Adorable bonding pic with her and cutie patootie Zahara. I will continue praying for the shallow ppl incapable of seeing the bigger picture and can only come up with small minded comments about the condition of the kids hair, the 2 yr old kid mind you.
Folks need to stop trippin' off Zahara's 'do, really though. The hair sticking out on the sides won't FIT into the ponytail. ***, at least Angie TRIED. Give her some credit having the sense to let the *** pieces at her hairline just do their thing for now until they grow out. I'm sure some of y'all don't have "edges" today because your mommas didn't have the sense to just leave it the hell alone.
it's so sad that most people respond about the little girl's hair!! so shallow, ignorant and dumb. her hair is fine. just because she didn't slap a just for me relaxer or straighten it with a hot comb, or sprinkle it with the chinese store barrettes in it doesn't mean it's not done. WHEWW!! self hating m.f's
@bowa theres a lot she could do to that girls head it dont matter what kind of texture she has. And I didnt say the girl hair was a mess I said Angie dont know what to do with it thats y its always the same way. She could put smaller ponytails in her hair for it can stay together longer, barretts, headband something. And no i didnt expect her to put no hair extensions, weave,or perm in her hair. @teambean79 if these stars want a break they *** become famous cause they know whats going to happen when they do. And if u want them to caught a break so bad why dont u lead by example and stop reading and posting comments about them.
@NotimeforBS: It's unrealistic to think that a child's hair will stay in place neatly all day. That's why I carry a brush in my purse. You can brush it back in place when you need to (not every 5 minutes, though) and keep it moving. Just like with my own hair. If it gets out of place I comb or brush it back.
The reason why I try to avoid these types of conversations, however, is because people can get nasty on this site. Everyone is entitled to the expression of his or her own opinion, but when folks resort to name-calling and carrying on it just makes the whole idea of a discussion board undesirable. I can think that the little girl's hair needs brushed without being a self-hating, plantation negroe as I've been refered to before.
For everyone name-calling and bashing each other: an intelligent mind shares ideas while an ignorant mind shares insults. I know that we're not talking about world peace or brain-wave technology on this board but that doesn't mean we should devalue eachother either. The point should be to agree to disagree respectfully, not call eachother out of our names because we can't think of anything better to say.
I think it is nice of Angelina and Brad to adopt but they do not know the first thing about black culture I hope they do something with the child's head as she get older cause this is ridiculous.I mean she cannot help how her hair is but her rich parents should do something she is still young right now but what is going to happen when she is 6 and 7.The bag is unnecessary but cute.
First of all, that child was BOUGHT, not adopted. Do you think any American adoption agency would give her crazy @ss a kid? I think not. Just because she is rich does not mean she is a great mom. She didn't even buy that bag for her. She gets free *** all the time, like every other celebrity. I hope to God that child and her other children she has purchased and collected come out okay, despite her. I hope her girls don't come out anorexic like her. I hope she doesn't make her kids wear vials of her blood around their necks and cut themselves like she has admitted to doing. Just because she has millions upon millions of dollars does not make her any less emotionally unstable.
Well said Crazybaby!!!

I think you should adjust your expectation though, based on the the intellectual level of posters on this site.
Most posters here strike me as "high-school dropouts, hoochie-mamas, welfare-to-workfare project residents." Mind you, I could be wrong, but their opinions, attacks and lack of depth on each and every topic helped me to form my conclusion.
That said, you are expecting WAAAAAY too much from a group who have a very limited scope!!!... Take what they say with a grain of salt and use their lack of intelligence as your weapon to elevate yourself.
Any group of people who are so obsessed over a designer bag (that is clearly too large for a toddler to be carrying) that they are blind to the general upkeep of that child, tells you enough about where their heads are. Why is that child a walking billboard? Where is a ABC book or her little toy (something toddlers should be carrying around)?
We are our own downfall and all you have to do is visit this site to see that WE AS A PEOPLE HAVE NOT MADE ANY HEADWAY SINCE THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT.
IT is an absolute disgrace...but thank God, there are a few who still are able to ask the right questions, probe and effectively articulate that which we do not view to be acceptable behavior!
there's nothing wrong with that baby's hair. secondly, the post IS about the bags, so that does not make anyone who comments about it materialistic or uneducated. it makes them people who read and post according to the subject. all of us are sitting behind computer screens and are no more than black letters on a white page to the next person. if everyone on this site is uneducated, what does that make the person who's judging? you/that person has a handle just like everyone else here. something drew you to mto, and it wasn't to have presidential debates. this is an ENTERTAINMENT/GOSSIP blog so one should expect the conversation to relate as such. if one wants to discuss changing the world, etc., M.S.***.B.C. is available along with other sites. thta's what i do...
@crazybaby and Pattilicious, the only attack on blacks who are naturally beautiful is on their hair for number one. Number two, the insult was to say she should have done something to her hair. Number 3 is "Most posters here strike me as "high-school dropouts, hoochie-mamas, welfare-to-workfare project residents" not name calling. The issue was one of the first comments was rejecting the childs hair. Who on this earth said that fine straight, processed hair that holds bugs was the choice way to be. If everyone went natural, locks would be the way your hair would be. No need for the invented brush. If you say something and someone gets back at you, don't get offended because you put your own azz out their and it got bumped.
Pattilicious
What does it say about you, who took the time out of your Sunday morning to post on this site full of "high-school dropouts, hoochie-mamas, welfare-to-workfare project residents."?
I am a teacher and I stress to my students the importance of staying on topic when you write. You see the topic of this particular blog is Angie and Zaharas matching Valentino bags. Therefore, we all come here to comment accordingly. Anyone who feels the need to bash Angie and Zahara because her hair is messy needs to start a thread elsewhere about that matter. Furthermore, as the mother of 5 year old twin girls, i must say that it is nearly impossible to keep little hands out of freshly combed heads. I'm quite sure Zahara plays a very active role in the messing of her hair.
And as far as the question "Where are her ABC books and toddler toys?"...I'm taking a stab in the dark, but they might be in the Valentino bag (remember, the topic of the blog??) Have a wonderful morning everyone. Toodles!
Elevated Mind.
YOU are a teacher, and think that that child has her ABC books and toys in that LITTLE VALENTINO bag? And you still do not see my point? You need to stop "stabbing in the dark" teach!
I do not make up the statistics, but they are more believable the more we are introduced to the people who are left to "edUcate" our little ones.
GOD HELP US!!! /o/
HA! Statistics??? The same statistics that are manipulated to benefit those who reside at the very top of the Social Economic ladder?? Whatever, you failed to drop one single statistic in your previous post and it wouldn't even matter much if you had. We're not on MediaTakeOut to discuss the plight of America, etc. etc. etc.
And by they way, since you find it appropriate to question the abilities of those who choose to empower the youth of America, maybe you should consider a career change. There are always teaching positions available....
The kids that Angelina has adopted, have 3 meals a day, warm baths, travel to places we will NEVER have the opportunity to go, and some get to carry VALENTINO bags. The least of someone's worry should be how this child hair gets done. They were given an opportunity of a better life here with Angie. Im sure she gets her hair washed and combed quite often. And when she gets older Angie can AFFORD to pay for someone to do it....
@NotimeforBS: 1. Beautiful black people are attacked on multiple levels, not just on their physical appearance (i.e. their hair) as you suggested.
2. Saying that something should have been done with the child's hair is an opinion based on an observation, not an insult. Otherwise, everyone who said that Angie's too skinny is issuing insults (regardless of the fact) because she might like the way that she looks. Or anyone who makes a comment that is unfavorable or displeasing to another person is insulting them. Can you see how there is just no basis to that logic? If we followed that rule than no one would be able to say anything.
3. I did not name-call or throw mud. I can not speak on the socio-economic conditions or lifestyles of the people on this site because I don't know them all personally. I can only hope for the best for and from everyone.
4. It's not about being offended, it's about having a discussion because this is a "discussion board." I don't get offended easily. I can dish and take it with the best of them in my real life. (Keep in mind, this site is not real life--it's e-life.) However, I think it's pointless to argue with a nameless, faceless person who I know nothing about other than a few blurbs on a website.
I read the opinions of others and express mine's occassionally and move on. It's a waste of time to battle with someone that I don't know over stuff that really has no bearing on my REAL life. So, whoever can say whatever they want about me. I don't really give that much of a f*ck! I used that example to make the point that I don't post often because people take $hit to the extreme instead of having a simple discussion then moving on like a normal person.
@Pattilicious: I try to give people the benefit of the doubt so I thought that if put the idea out there that attacking eachother is a waste of time, then maybe folks would pick up on it is all. Maybe I am expecting to much but high expectations breed excellence. Obviously I'm not looking for any nobel prizes to come from folks here (although I don't doubt that they could get one if they wanted one) just a little courtesy is all.
@nastina: good point. I think that people equate being wealthy to having a good home life. No one can say with certainty that they know what Angie's home life is like. They think that Baby Z is obviously in the best possible situation because her new mommy has money. If that were truly the case, then everyone who doesn't have money is a bad parent or role models.
@crazybaby Well put, just because someone has money doesn't automatically make them a good parent. But u always see Brad and Angelina acting responsibly with their children (unlike Britney who would never have been alowed to adopt)and u can tell in these pics Zahara's hair was done earlier that day but kids will be kids and mess up their hair and clothes. She probably only had time to change the clothes before she left. Or maybe Z doesn't like having her hair done and cries and it's a struggle so Angelina only does it once a day or sometimes lets her skip a day. That's how my daughter is and i'm not a bad parent just cuz i won't constantly force my daughter through something that clearly is uncomfortable for her just to please others. As long as it gets washed and brushed (although not always styled) that's the main concern. I bet most people who talk about her hair aren't black or don't have kids.
www.myspace.com/lillibragurl
People always try to sound so educated. all that cultural, biased, nonsense, explanation BS sounds like blah, blah, blah. The childs hair is irrevelent to the blog. It's about the bag. I can't wait till they have Z and her mom at the beauty salon. The deprived will have a field day of the specifics.
@crazybaby my initial OPINION was to the babe that made the hair comment. All that justification, put it in your yet to be published self help book.
Do any of you people who are complaining and going on and on about the child's hair actually have a child!?!? My Daughter has the same grade of hair as Zahara, and by mid day, her hair looks the same way. Curly hair will not stay laying down all day, and since the hair is soft some of it will eventually slide out of the ponytail/s. Most PARENTS know that their child's hair will mess up by mid day. And that's just life.
@ Sassytou,
Have you been drinking Pink Lotion?
I suspect that there are many things that you do not understand in life, not just why you and your statement were ignorant.
"Kids from that culture"...Are you referring to Ethiopians? All Ethiopian children do not have *** hair. However, many children of all cultures do have *** hair particularly for the first few years of their lives including Europeans.
Just INGNORANT on every level.
Cute my behind. Why does the child still looks like one of those commercials you see on tv late at ***. You know the commercial that tells you, you can send .80 cents a day the price for a cup of coffee to pledge for this child. I don't really care what ethnicity the child is, but the same stylist that does Angelina's hair for the Oscars and other award shows, she should take that same attention to her daughters hair. Or at least learn; she could even pretend it's for a movie, b/c she's always so proud that she learned something new from a new film that she is doing. Either martial arts, kung fu whatever. She should pretend she's doing Hair Salon part 1. Lesson 101: A brush and grease is a must have. I'm done.
Wow. How did the discussion *** from how cute the baby is to how she needs to have her hair done? Ummm . . . she's three. The fact that she hasn't snatched all the barrettes out is a feat alone. Toddlers get messy, hair comes undone, shoes get lost. That's what being a kid is all about. (And if you looked back in your parent's photo albums, there'd be a ton of pictures when you were a kid with your hair sticking up all over the place. Geeze people.)
the pics were taken as Angelina was LEAVING the PARK...i'm not sure what ya'll expect the little girl to look like here....Whats most important is that, I was on a celebrity baby blog site and a mother who was also at the park that day wrote about how Angelina was so attentive to the children (one of the other kids was there too)...she went down the slides with them and everything...the kids seemed really happy and while they were playing neither of them seemed to even notice the paparazzi! thats what im talkin about!!
Listen there are some people on this board who's mind's are still trapped by MASSA. They think that in order to be pretty you have to have straight long hair. Tsk, tsk, tsk. What a pitty to still be that ignorant in this day and age. Relaxing a 3yr olds hair and snatching it up into tight ponytails all day is what damages perfectly healthy hair, just keeping it clean and combed is fine at this age. No need to have your little girl lookin like a wanna be Just For Me model.
woooooow people are *** dumb...shes a BABY for christs sake, its not safew to put chemicals in a childs hair, and for everyone commenting on zaharas skin color...jeeezuz all children that age have mussed hair...look around you and if you DO she a child with perfectly coifed hair then something is wrong with that babies home life. I assure you that the child is more concerned with having fun than with how you guys judge her hair style..
Damnn...Sass...they put you on blast, huh? I'll bet you'll check yourself the next time...ROTFL. But I'm going to join in and say comment was uncalled for. What are you 15?
One would think that you would be happy that this child is well taken care of and is loved. Grow the hell up and stop picking on a damne 3/4 year old!
**DAILY INORANCE**
Instead on matching bags Angelia should have brought Zahara a matching ponytail. That childs hair is a HOT MESS!!!!!
*IGNORANCE* ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I understand kids from that culture have *** hair but a bottle of pink lotion and a brush go a long way.
*MORE IGNORANCE* ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Do you even know anything about Zahara's culture? She is Ethiopian, and anyone that knows the culture, knows Ethiopians are some of the most beautiful people on the African continent!
Some things are better left unsaid. And regarding A CHILD for pete's sake!
The matching bags are ADORABLE! Zahara's is probably just a mock of Angie's. It is very common for mothers to dress their daughters in a similiar fashion, especially on the weekends when out shopping.
If baby Zahara was in her homeland she would most likely be worst off. We all see the comercials and watch the national geographic channel, and read about africa. So why are ya'll trippin on a 2 yo hair do. I know for a fact she could be worst off if it weren't for angelina adopting her. So chill out. Act your age or stay off of here! All the kids she adpopted are truly blessed. I think some of ya'll picking on angelinas daughter because you might be jealous, she adopted a black girl. Also I saw somebody put parentesis around the word daughter, When angelina adopted Zahara she became her daughter, an official part of her family. Angelina is her new mama now. Accept it!
To Kait
Oh lawd, I did not say white ppl have long "beautiful" flowing hair. You are mistaken on my comments. My comments were for ppl who thought she should stick something in her hair or some sort of chemicals for it to be long flowing and I gave white ppl as an example. Her hair is her hair and its not going to be down her back right now and it doesnt matter because she is a beautiful baby.
Lacoste..you said it best. Patti, your attempt at being condescending to those who feel the mini designer bag is cute because they are low class and uneducated??? You sound just as bad as those you accuse when you lament about how the child's hair needs to be 'did'....seriously. SHE is a child. She doesn't NEED a designer bag nor does she NEED a perm or weave. Nuff said.
Why is there a big discussion on this childs hair. Her hair looks good to me and did not come to mind when I saw the picture. Why does it matter what her hair looks like anyway. To me it seems there must be some insecurity in you if you have to discuss a childs hair what does your hair look like? Do you have a tacky weave with glue, a fake ponytail etc. My hair is beautiful and natural would'nt change it for the world and yes i am black
Awww look at Angelina and her little collector item 1 of 3 from her world series collection.
Seriously though, I think it is wonderful how she cares for this little girl. It is obvious she loves her very much. I wonder when she is gonna go get some more African babies, ***, there are plenty here that need adopting. We have to even it out since the Hispanic people are jumping the border in droves. Hispanics are soon to be the majority. We have to come up black people.
I applaud Angelina for putting forth the effort to ensure Zahara's differences are acknowledged and appreciated while inadvertently choosing not to abuse her toddler by applying dangerous chemical fire creams we call relaxers. If she keeps her natural, her hair will grow full and healthy the way God intended.
@sassytou first of all you sound very ignorant yourself how do you know people fom "THAT" culture have *** hair? You must not know any Ethiopians because I am more then sure they have more hair then you could ever buy, press or perm. And @hardcore your right some do perm relax there hair doesnt mean a *** thing I know many that keep there hair natural all the time ther not allowed to do anything to there hair until there an adult as for weave and wig now thats a *** lie...very few would ever do that they have naturally beautiful thick hair stop the hate and pick up a book!
