: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Lauryn Hill is on the verge of becoming an unsigned artist. According to Columbia Records exec Kyambo 'hip Hop' Joshua, Lauryn is an “inactive artist” on the label.
Here are his exact words:
Her deal is borderline inactive, though I'm sure they want to do an album. But when you sign an act in another era, with a deal based on the act being a superstar, things can change.Translation – she’s ‘bout to be dropped. Who could imagine that she’d fall this far….These days, even if [she were to] do great numbers, they will likely not be Fugees numbers. So, I have to see what direction she and her people would like to take and what they'd like to do."
SHE STILL HAD A RECORD DEAL?

It's understandable that a woman or man can be in love with their significant other to the point where it will make them harm each other, or themselves, but there's one person who we can always count on no matter what the *** are. Whether we're innocent or guilty we can count on this one person. singers come and go, and some stick it out til the end. Lauryn is human just like all of us but just with a little more money. She's a female so that means she goes through the same monthly courses like I do. They say love make you do crazy things, and from the looks of it, she's not only gone crazy, but mad crazy. If I had experienced what she did with her man I think I would of really been hurt, but me being a singer I wouldn't of let that situation ruin my career. She's a wonderful singer and a good speaker... and a very bright girl. This weird look she has needs to stop because she's another Brittney Spears.... doing stuff for attention. You don't get nobody's attention doing sick stuff like dressing like lauryn, or cutting your own head bald like Brittney did. If they wanted some attention all they had to do is try to reach out to some of their people.... managers, couselors, lawyers. etc and admit for (one) that they have a problem and for (two)would they help them. We all know lauryn good when it comes to laying some lyrics down, right now we just have to pray for this girl because she needs some guideance in her life at this point... If we all feeling a certain way about her now, can you just imagine how her kids and mother is feeling.
None of you know her personally do you? So to call her psycho and refer to her as crazy doesn't make sense to me. Do you see the *** thats out on the radio now. Maybe she doesn't want to be a part of that. He MTV unplugged music was BEAUTIFUL but they will never play real music like that on the radio so maybe she decided to step away. She is going through some thangs. I hope she can get it together cuz she was too talented to be sitting at home worrying about Rohan. Now if it was Ky-Mani (lordy, lordy, lordy)...I'm back. @quelinda, I share the same sentiments. We are so quick to call someone crazy simply because there just misunderstood. Her so called erratic behavior during performances make her a "psycho", what artists don't have quirky rituals, diva attitudes, and strange demands. And it's actually sad that MTO is to small minded that they follow Perez Hilton campaign " Lets crown one of the most talanted black artists as crazy". And yes pras and Wyclef call her "crazy", too but there harsh comments are coming from hurt, frustration, and the fact that they a know a new Fugee project equals craaazy money. And to me a person who's not willing to sacrifice there artitic sound to please money hungry bandmates, a mafia music industry, and eagerly fans...is actually courageous and should be respected something these waterdown, disposable hip hop artists of today could never understand.

Yes Black daddy, actually I heard from many sources that Lauryn Hill has been wanting out of her contract with Columbia for years. And I guess Columbia just had it with her resisting attitude towards making/participating any upcoming new music projects. So, yes I actually think she's happy with the outcome.
Is it really a surprise? She need to get that chemical imbalance realigned because when you look in the mirror dressed like picture in the photo and think you look good? You need help beside the other stuff.
Oh well if you don't produce then no one can use you. This is after all a business first and everyone cannot wait 'til you get your act together.

Yeah, she could be trying to get out of her contract. But, she did have an affair with Wyclef while he was married, and he's still married. Lauren's first child (Zion)is supposedly Wyclef's. His wife is Haitian just like him. So maybe she put the roots on Lauren for stealing her husband for a minute. But you have to believe that mess for it to work. Plus Lauren did marry into the Marley family where the men are famous for having many baby mama's. Maybe everything she's been through is just too overwhelming for her.
