: This past week 50 Cent and Kanye West released their albums on the same date - creating a Battle Of The Titans. Now MediaTakeOut.com has learned that there's another musical battle on the horizon. You see it turns out that both Mariah Carey and Mary J Blige will be releasing their albums on the same date - November 20th.
Mariah's new album is still unnamed and Mary's is called Growing Pains.
What makes the battle even more interesting is that both women's last albums were extremely successful. Mariah's The Emancipation Of Mimi was the top selling album of 2005. And Mary J Blige's The Breakthrough was her most successful album to date.
Who do you guys think is gonna win, Mary or Mariah?
i love em both but i always seem to buy Mariah's CD so no doubt i will be out buying this one as well. Mary i love and her last CD was da bomb in fact all of her CD's have been da bomb. but like with Beyonce supposedly slinging dirt at Ashanti these two women like them have different styles of music from each other but it will be interesting

gotta go with Mariah..I have been a huge Mariah fan for years because of her voice and her lyrics..I love Mary too, I have been a fan since 1992..but her voice isnt what it used to be and and her songs are not as hot as they used to be..they lost that hip-hop soul flava that I loved..plus if I hear her whine about her past in her songs one more time...and if these battles to sell records are becoming a trend, thats really corny
Mariah carey is going to outsell MJB without even trying. Shes the best selling female artist of all times. MJB its not a good idea to go against her baby. JLO tried it in 2005 and we all know what happened to her.

they will both be successful, but mariah is more "mainstream" and mary is more r&b. Mariah has more whites and other races and more people overseas as her audience, which adds to the numbers. She may sell more because of this, but it doesn't make her better. she is just in a different category that has a more widespread audience. I personally will be buying mary's, not mariah's though.
I mean this is kinda cute or watever but it is kind of stupid. its like everyone does not need to try to have this battle. and if people have a little bit of money they can just buy both of them the first week. But they should not make people have to choose between the two or make people spend like more that $20 for both of them.We all aint rich like them
Mary will *** on Mooriah, Mooriah is jus' going to sell *** and CHEAT her fans by lip synching and she manly has *** fans and you know *** are easily impressed by anything that a woman does that they wanna be like. Mary and Mariah are both very talented R&B superstars. I grew up listening to them in the 90s and all I did was sing their songs as a little girly. I don't believe they are in a competition. They probably get along really well. I think they were both on Divas Live yall remember that VH1 show? Go head do yall thing girls. Both of them keep it real in their lyrics too.

Mary J. blige is going to outsell Mariah In the first week because she holds that world record for biggest first week sales for an R&B female artist. 730,000 first week sales from "THE BREAKTHROUGH". also MJB has the world record for longest song on the #1 R&B billboard list. Passing Mariahs "We Belong Together" 14 weeks at #1. MJB 15 weeks at #!. Finally i think MJB might just outsell Mariah in the long run because mariah sales are weaker every time she *** out with a new one while MJB stands strong and hold her Grounds.
