That's a horrible picture of a beautiful girl. She does look whitein that picture, but she is not Blacktina anymore than she is white. She's not J-Lo, she's just Shakira. Those are not 'spray on abs'. They don't have little surgery scars either. But forget the stomach, this girl is a beautiful PERSON inside and out. She is smart (self educated, and she takes college classes for the heck of it as JUST PLAIN SHAKIRA, no bodyguards or star treatment, in different parts of the world when she tours {Have you read a book lately?}), she's a hard worker (she's been a star since she was 14 - take that Britney, Whitney and all of you who couldn't handle it!), and she has her own finances because of it (highest selling artist ever inher market). And as far as belly dancing - not all belly dancers are thin. as a matter of fact, its easier when you have bigger hips (and some have guts too). But Shakira is a very good dancer, professional, and she has her own style. Didn't you see 'Beautiful Liar'? Haven't you seen her do a live performance of 'Hips Don't Lie' - Wyclef was the one who needed a vocal track! As much as I love black women, y'all are barking up the wrong tree on this one. She is an ally to black women. Heck, she should be an inspiration. Shakira never said one word about you, your culture, or your kind, so STOP HATING! Misery loves company, and I bet you have a lot of friends, huh? The good thing is that you haters, YES YOU MTO, are keeping this woman's name out there, and she deserves that.
