: MediaTakeOut.com is hearing some very troubling news about Rapper Akon. According to one of our faithful readers, the Senegalese singer stole $500 from one of his biggest fans. And to make matter worse - the fan was a financially strapped college student.
Here's the report:
While in New Delhi last weekend (october 6th 2007) for a concert, rapper and singer Akon, or 'Kon as he likes to be called by his fans, went shopping with a couple of his African fans that live in India since they knew the local malls best.Let this be a lesson to all you celebs that think you can get away with acting a fool whenever you leave the United States - MediaTakeOut.com is international...Before the concert, they took him to Ansal Plaza, located in South Extension in the southern part of New Delhi. He apparently had only brought $100 with him and said "I thought shopping in India was supposed to be cheap!" One of the fans, a Congolese student currently studying Law in India had some cash on her, and offered to lend him Rupees 20,000, the equivalent of about $500. 'Kon accepted the cash, promising to pay her back at the after party in his hotel room later that night. Unfortunately, he was too busy getting close and comfy with another one of the girls to remember his promise, and left the poor girl waiting all night long for her money.
Pissed off and broke, the girl left the hotel room in the early hours of the morning after realizing that she was not going to get her money. So again, we can put the blame on 'Kon!
Attached are pictures of Akon with the group of fans that took him shopping and were all witnesses to the scandal, the girl he ripped off is in the yellow and black dress.
Ok, I need to see more proof on this one. It makes no sense that a college student, barely making, would give away her money like that to a celebrity who should HAVE money. Even if he did only brought $100 with him, doesn't this fool have an ATM card? Couldn't he phone home or to his accountant to wire him the cash he needed?

Kon can't seem to leave the con games he learned on the streets behind him. Bet this is not the first time he's done some sh!t like this.
He's probably doing blow. Running through that money by sniffing the white cloud. Cuz this sounds like some crack-ish sh!t to do to some poor fan. And he looks just like Junebug, the crackhead from down the block.

I don't see how this is so unbelievable. She never said that he refused to pay her back. She said that he was busy getting busy with some female and it sounds like he forgot. He was at a party, flirting and probably drinking so I could see how something like this could happen. And besides, it sounds to me like she didn't even remind him. She just waited around for him to remember? That is silly. I would have said, hey can I get that money from earlier today? Or, did you get a chance to get that money for me? If he still refused to pay her back, then he is wrong. But it doesn't seem like that's what happened.
dumb ass girl, she offered him that money cuz she thought she was getting some of dat d**k and her money back so she can go back to her friends and lie and say he gave her some money and gave her some d**k.... I betcha' next time she won't be so nice to offer somebody some money.... (and if she suppose to have been a college student that money should of been spent on her books, or one of her classes, or some food for her dorm room...etc)
i don't believe it...first off what celebrity shops with regular broke nigs from the streets, then doesn't have any $$$, he shoulda been expecting to buy all of them something at least just out of "i'm a paid n*gga and u broke" generosity, cuz i know I woulda been expecting something shopping with AKON, what sense does that make, no credit card nothing..and there's no lawsuit pending, yeah right...and who's the snitch in the group, the one in the yellow is the victim, who told the story? the black ass one in the pic on his left..yeah right MTO we believe u...
I totally believe this story. It is common pratice for a low income person to give up cash to the rich, while believing that it would be returned. A lot of our so call weathly purposely go out without cash because they know that some gullible ass "common" as they are referred to, will lean them the money, only never to be seen again.

First of all this girl is dumb, and she's old enough to know not to "lend" anyone money unless its probably her family or something. She knew damn well that she wasn't going to get the money back!
... and as for Akon, he look like he needed the Money to buy something to wash his nasty ass face, he looks real nasty!
This is worst joke iv ever heard!! First of all Akon doesn't drink .. second man is wealthy and him borowing money .. im sorry can't belive that. These girls probably made up this story since he is rich (or MTO is simply full of s**t)ya all tryin to make this man look stupid but he is smarter more then u think.Keep on MTO with these bullshit stories (like uv been recently)since u cant come up with real story..what a shame..
