: We knew that Diddy was cheap - but this is ridiculous. According to one of MediaTakeOut.com's faithful readers, Brian A, one of the winners of this season of Making Of The Band is married. And he and his wife Trina, whom our reader labels "his insane wife," live in government subsidized housing (Section 8) in Houston, TX.
Dang!! Guess it really is hard to make a living in the music industry...
NOT A SURPRIZE FROM DIDDY.
1. HE SET PAC UP TO GET *** THE 1ST TIME
2. HE MADE BIGGIE FLY TO LA TO GET *** UP
3. HE B!CTH OUT ON SHYNE
4. HE *** OVER ALL OF HIS BAD BOY ARTIST THATS WHY THERE ALL GONE
5. HE'S DOGGING *** PORTER OUT CHEATING WITH CHICKS THAT DONT EVEN LOOK HALF AS GOOD AS HER
SO WHY IS THIS A SURPRIZE THAT HE'S NOT PAYING THOSE MTB4 KIDS?

What did you guys expect him to be rich ***?!!! Whether you know it or not, it's kinda hard makin a legal living these days so i'm happy that Brian is now going to be making enought to get off of assistance hopefully. That's what it's for, people who need a little help, and in case you are wondering, no i am not on public assistance but wish they would give me a food stamp or somethin...LOL
kayfree you must be white talkin bout aww u feel sorry 4 him man kuk wut yall sayin dats the way of life 4 blax nowdays, besides what about all the other rappers who grew up in the projects same thing they all come from different places some less fortunate than others da fact still remains they makin paper.
It ain't like he has an album out... give him a chance to make some money! MTO always starting ***... Does anyone actually believe that anyone in the group will be living in a mansion of their OWN - even if they HAVE a hit album? Really?
He won a talent show to be in a band... why do y'all expect him to live in a mansion ALREADY?
She's loud, she's in your business, tells your business, got an opinion about everything, cusses mf's out, and then gives you a hug before she puts your azz off her front porch... she's Miss Pearl!

Ok MTO and you saying that to say what???????? first of all I don't even see why this would even make headline because in case you forgot....*** near every rapper, r&b singer, model, or gospel singer has been or came from the hood at some point in their lives... not everybody's born with a silver spoon in their mouth. You have to crawl before you can walk. Let's not forget he just won on making the band which means he was living a normal life before he auditioned for Making The Band, so that should tell you he and his wife was living in that same section 8 apartment before he decided to take a step further to make a better living for him and his wife. I'm pretty sure when he get his first check they won't be living in that section 8 apartment much longer. Speaking of section 8 there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. MTO here's something I bet ya'll *** didn't know.... when Old Dirty *** was with that rap group THE WU TANG CLAN he still was getting a mafukk'*** link card..... did y'all know that and he wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth either.... just because a person has talent doesn't mean he's not human. All these celebrities go through the same ish' we go through in life, only difference is they have more money.
MTO, Section 8 is a federal susidy backed by HUD.
Public Assistance is welfare, food stamps, medicaid, etc. and that is usually backed by city and local governments. (Yall know someone selling foodstamps? LOL)
2 COMPLETELY different things. Now if he was living in City housing and Public Assistance was paying his bills, that would be considered Public Assistance.
Add not taking care of or evening knowing who his beautiful 2 year old daughter is to the long list of why Brian Andrews is not an upstanding citizen of socitey. Imagine the first time a gorgeous innocent 2 year old baby girl sees her real father since being a newborn is on TV all the while he is raising his wifes son who isn't even his biological child and not even caring enough about his own flesh and blood to call and ask how is daughter is. And despite all his claims to wanna make things right with his daughter, which i've given him plenty of chances to do, he's still evading his daughter and responsibilities.
Appleblossom, it's called Reparations. Hell we assisted the Gov't for years free of charge, so the hell with it, get every dime that's supposed to be ours. And those corporations make out like bandits with their corporate welfare. Hell 99% of the big corporations don't pay a dime of taxes and benefitted big-time off of us.
@appleblossom, that was ignorant. How many people from the Caribbean are in the US getting public assistance and living in public housing or have a Section 8 voucher????? A lot. Come to the US and sit in a welfare office or go where they have Section 8 sign up forms. Let me know the ratio for Americans vs. Non Americans and then get back to me.
So what MTO. He is doing what he needs to do and his wife is a smart girl. She is keeping that 22 dollar a month 3 bedroom apt.. lol. No seriously, It is hard to pay rent. I am 28 and lived on my own for 3 years paying 1100 for a 2 bedroom apt in Brooklyn. It is crazy. Then you have your utilities, food, metrocard, daycare for your kid, then clothes And as a woman you like to do your hair and nails and go out sometimes. It became so *** tough I moved in with my mother in law. I wish I could get some Section 8 and food stamps, but here in New York City I make too much money. I have to have 4 kids and making minimum wage to get anyform of assisance, meanwhile I am paying taxes out of my a** because I strive to be bette. Oh well
I PERSONNALY KNOW BRIAN AND THINK HE IS A PIECE OF ***. IT SAYS THAT HE IS MARRIED AND LIVING IN GOVERNMENT HOUSING...WELL I THINK ALOT OF PEOPLE CAN RELATE TO THAT. ESPECIALLY SINCE HE WAS A NORMAL PERSON LIVING HIS LIFE BEFORE MAKING THE BAND......BUT THE FACT THAT HE HAS A LITTLE BABY GIRL WHO HE DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF IS PATHETIC. AND TO CHOOSE A LIFE WITH A SKANKY *** AND RAISE HER SON IS PATHETIC. BRIAN A HAS A BEAUTIFUL TWO YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. HE IS MAKING MONEY. AND NOT PAYING A DIME OF CHILD SUPPORT, AND HE IS LIVING IN GOVERNMENT HOUSING SAVING ALL THAT MONEY, WHILE HIS DAUGHTER IS SITTING IN FRONT OF THE TV WATCHING HIM KNOWING THATS HER FATHER. THAT IS WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN WRITTEN ABOUT. NOT ABOUT HIM LIVING IN THE PROJECTS OF HOUSTON.
F uck P. ***! He is a crook and steals from everybody! These dudes probably are on public assitance! I hated *** P. diddy since he marketed his "friend" BIG death. Made me sick, fool made millions on that lame song, when in all actuality, he was just trying to make $$$ off of it! P DIddy is a PUNK *** ***!
@appleblossom *** up!! I'm not getting any assistance from the Govt. I wish I was getting some and just like JustHanginOut said how many islanders come over here and get over on the system and be opening stores and shi.t and sending money back home then go to the welfare office with that "I don't understand american english bullsh*t?" Ya'll be over here getting over. I know because my mom is a case worker and she tells me about ya'll so *** ya mouth and stop with all that because all African Americans are not on assistance!!!!
I tell yall what... I live in Houston and I'm about to call the Harris County Housing Authority right now to see what I can get. I need some help with this $1800 mortgage that I have so I can keep my change in my pocket. I like food so I might need to stand in line for the stamps as well. Didn't know that you could get help with utilities but good looking out MTO family. On my way to Fountainview right now to see what the deal is on Brian and Trina being married and getting help for the state. Do they pay car notes too? The Lex is not cheap either but I will settle for the gas voucher program if they have one.
@flygirlph...when do veteran's get help cause they on EVERY corner here in Houston begging for change. LOL
Think I might call FEMA and tell them my house on the hill was burned and I was "displaced" by the wildfires and get me a check in three days. Be right back and I'll tell yall how it went.
Houston doesn't really have 'projects.' Sure there is housing for people with low incomes but when they say projects I picture Cabrini Green on Good Times. Houston doesn't have Cabrini Green-like area.
Anyway I just hope these guys come out with something soon. I hope Diddy doesn't kick them to the curb. Brian was on a radio show in Houston and they asked him about a name for the group and the first single and he didn't say anything. That's not a good sign.
@Embarrased2Bhere You are right about the projects. They tore down Lincoln City, need to work on the ones in Garden City and Cuney Homes look like nice townhomes now. But the ones on Selinsky need some help. But I don't understand why people would choose to live in the slums when they can get a nice house in Sugarland, Pearland, Katy, The Woodlands, Spring or any where with Section 8. Guess its that "ghetto-hood" blood they have. "My great great grandmama lived in the projects and I grew up here so why leave" Same mentality the 9th Ward people have/had.
LOL @tiaje, let us know how it goes. In NY, they pay lights, gas, rent, storage fees. They won't pay for cable and phone. LOL.
They make people work for that welfare check now. Everyone else in the office get a check every Thursday and yours come on that card once or twice a month. Busting your behind for $300 a month. Not me, not I. The sad thing about it is say you lost your job, but you've been working since you were a teenager paying taxes and everything. You go for some help and they will flat *** turn you down for food stamps and the cash like you've never worked. WTF. Then they want you to work for that mess even though your taxes have been being used for years for the welfare system. Here's the kicker, City and States get a certain amount of Government help for the Welfare program. If they don't use the alloted cash, they will have a cut in budget for the next fiscal year. Why the hell is the Welfare office still denying folks the benefits they need? Man oh man, they being investigated in NY. Have this campaign on TV and the Radio that says "you may be eligible for Food stamps" and read in the paper where there was a 3 or 4 million surplus because they were denying people and making the process harder for people to apply. I think the workers were getting bonuses or something. LOL
Tiaje
I feel you. But keep in mind that generations of ignorance are hard to break. If all I knew was the hood it would be difficult for me to break the cycle or even want to break the cycle unless I was exposed to something better. It's like Jesus said, 'how will they know without someone to preach?' Even he understood it's hard to change one's mind without help. The same is true not just for people who live in the ghetto but for people who live in the suburbs but refuse to acknowledge the plight of anyone outside of their point of reference. It's the same ignorance, just one is ignorant and poor and the other is ignorant and rich but it's the same ignorance.
Imma say one more thing than Imma leave this alone. Ain't nothing wrong with some help every now and then. Definitely ain't nothing wrong with Section 8 and if there was, there wouldn't be a 10 to 15 year waiting list in some States. Some states the waiting list is closed down, permanently. They would be handing them things out like Skittles.
Section 8 is not Public Assistance. But if you in Section 8 housing and you ain't reporting all the income coming up in that home you committing fraud. Fraud is fraud no matter how one look at. So if you committing fraud watch out cause sexiigirl is about to report your azz on the downlow. I have to pay. You should too!
The people who abused the system made it harder for people who actually need the system. They have completely overhauled the welfare system and innocent people suffer b/c of that. You know, it’s amazing how fraud among systems used heavily by black folks is quick to get reformed while fraud or questionable systems used generally by rich whites that is slow to change. For example in Texas you can get a huge break on your property taxes if your land is used for agriculture. So big companies like ExxonMobile have cows grazing on parts of their property. Since when is the oil business tied to agriculture? If they didn’t have the one or two cows on their property they would pay millions of dollars in property taxes. Because of the one cow they pay about $800 for several acres of land. Meanwhile the common folks who can’t afford to have a cow grazing their backyards pay thousands of dollars in property taxes and the price goes up every year. There is an obvious misapplication of the law but lawmakers won’t change the rules because guess what? They have cows grazing on their land too. This whole world is one big ole ball of fraud disguised as “laws”.
@Embarrased2Bhere
Going to get me an Elsie the Cow right now. I pay over $5000 in funky *** property tax for 1/4 of an acre of land that my house sits on (regular size here in TX) but because of the neighborhood I have to pay that, school taxes, MUD taxes, just to be in the neighborhood tax, you look like you don't belong here tax, and alot of other nonsense taxes that they can think of. And I do know of some companies that have farm animals that are grazing the property like the company that I work for so they won't have to pay certain taxes. LOL. *** shame.
ALL I WAS SAYING EARLIER....WAS WHO CARES IF HE LIVES IN GOVERNMENT SECTION 8.....THERE ARE BIGGER MATTERS THAT WILL EVENTUALLY COME OUT IN THE OPEN. LIKE HIS 2 YR OLD DAUGHTER HE DOES NOT SEE. ITS GOING TO BE REAL FUNNY WHEN SHE STARTS GETTIN ALL OF HER DADDY'S MONEY. IT DOESNT LOOK GOOD FOR ANYONE IN THE INDUSTRY TO NOT BE TAKIN CARE OF HIS KID. ITS GREAT THAT HE WANTS TO TAKE CARE OF HIS WIFE AND HER CHILD. BUT WHAT ABOUT HIS OWN CHILD. HIS BABIES MOMMA USED TO SCHEDULE TIMES FOR HIM TO SEE HER, AND TAKE HER OVER TO WHERE HE WAS, AND SHE WOULD ARRIVE AND NO ONE WOULD BE HOME. I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES. AND HEARD *** MYSELF FIRST HAND. BRIAN A. NEEDS TO GET HIS ACT TOGETHER. ITS HORRIBLE FOR YOU TO BE A PIECE OF *** FATHER IN THE PRESENT DAY. ESPECIALLY BEING FAMOUS. IF HE IS ASPIRING TO MAKE IT IN THE INDUSTRY, MAYBE HE SHOULD START MAKING A FEW THINGS RIGHT IN HIS PERSONAL LIFE....THAT WAY HE WONT BE BLASTED LIKE THIS.
So what, most of us online posting *** right now is on public assistance. I mean everybody need some extra help from time to time. What's the big deal. I mean he's living good ain't he so why make a big scene over nothing. Brian do you. At least he made the Band. Now he ain't got to worry about how he gonna live. He can say *** Section 8 for all he cares. He got money. Just know that behind every successful person lies a pack of haters!
So were some of the members of the first making the band with Babbs and that boy from Miami, so are some of the chicks from America's Next Top Model, so are (I think) most of the chicks they find to swap all that nasty spit with Flava Flav on Flavor of Love, but that show is another story all together. SO WHAT?
@ cinabrown
I feel that. I've personally never known to abuse it like that (but I have heard of it before). I've known people who have made a career out of not trying to better themselves or staying at a certain income level to maintain their eligibility.
I don't think it matters that this brother is on PA. He made "The Band" so lets hope that Diddy actually pays his artist this time so he can get off Public Assistance!
Alot of the posts about people who actually need help that can't get it are so true ! I can attest to that fact personally. I have a full time job with my local school district . My health coverage is paid for because I am a state employee. Alot of people believe that since I work for that state that I make a decent amount of money , HA ! I wish I could say that I do. I'm not complaining cause ya girl is in College right now trying to make a better life for myself and my son. But my point is that I need help providing for my son's health coverage until I finsh school . I have to go through hell and high water to get it. I mean I pay taxes just like every other working person but can't get help. Could I pay for his insurance myself ? Yep but then I wouldn't be able to eat. With the monthly premiums, the co-pays and the cost of prescriptions I would easily spend over 250.00 dollars a month. And that's not even including his Dermatologist appointments for his severe eczema. And for those of you who ask , Yes his dad and I are together, and he works also. But with just the basic neccessities ( rent, utilities, a car, etc.) it's hard. I don't completely blame the PA agencies but the Government needs to do something about Health Insurance companies and their ridiculous rates and the people who are abusing the system for years and years. They really need to revamp the system to help people who really want to use it as a way to assist themselves and their families.
MY THING IZ THIS SO WHAT IF HE IS GIVE THA *** A CHANCE HE AINT GOT NO MOINEY YET *** WHO POST THESE DUMB AS STORYS ARE *** SICK THE PERSON WHO CAME UP WIT THIS *** IS PROBALLY ON SECTION 8 MEDIATAKEOUT.COM NEED 2 BE CALLED OUT ON THEY *** WHEN THEY WRONG 4 REAL IT SEEMZ LIKE THEY DID'NT HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO WRITE
What's the big deal everyone needs help every now and again. Hell, before I brought my house I was on section 8. The rent in Boston for my 3 bdrm apt. was $1500.00 and my share was $1184.00 (that's nothing to sneeze at)and I have a good job. I also had a child in private school and various activities, aswell as having to pay for utilities, a vehicle, insurance etc. Through promotions I was able to go from renting to owning. Everyone seems to be under the misconception that if you have one of those certificates you pay nothing for rent, or your abusing the system, but I am living proof that this is not the case. It just is what it is, a little assistance. I am so thankful that I had that help and it enabled me to get to where I am today.
Honestly, he does not have money right now-they haven't even dropped an album yet!!! Just because they were on that weak azz show doesn't mean they are going to be automatically rich! Even when their album comes out and even if it sells pretty good, they will not be on that Forbes status-probably not ever(hate to say that). Anyway, this story was not worth printing.
Yall got the game fu**ed up. 4 real. I get Section 8 and I love it. yall can front, but sum of u wish u had it to. Rent is high as hell in California. I'm a single mother at that. I make between $19 and $23 an hour. Section 8 pays a portion of my rent. I pay the rest. I also pay, electric, gas, water, garbage, insurance and so on. If I ever get laid off or I get fired or quit. I will pay barely nothing for rent. It makes it hard to live, but at least my kids would have a roof over they heads. Those of yall talking about owning a home. That *** is sooooo overated. The market is relly bad. Foreclosure's is at it's highest. You got engineers out here making $160,000 a year loosing they homes. Google forclosure list.com and look in your area. If you loose your job, you loose ur sh*t. You tarnish ur credit and so on.. Keep fronting if you want to..I'm keeping it real..
lmao well yall act just cause you're on "making the band" you're automatically granted with all this money hell no *** still livin life like b4. Lol
www.myspace.com/imtheglamorest www.myspace.com/imtheglamorest www.myspace.com/imtheglamorest www.myspace.com/imtheglamorest www.myspace.com/imtheglamorest
It takes alot to make enough money to get out the hood. Jay-z did'nt completely leave the hood until is second ulbum. If brian A, got a bonus (which he probly did not because he was chosen off a reality show) he probly bought a car like most black people do. By the way MTO lies a lot because elephant man said he did not touch diddy, he has no problem with his money. Young Joc made forbes #20 fo making the most money in hip hop las year. He made 10 million dollars, thats good for just coming out.
urghhh... who cares? People don't become wealthy *** do they? Just because you get signed doesn't mean they are just going to drop an album and some videos the next day lol. If and when you drop an album and videos, does that make you automatically wealthy? Plus, if you do become successful from that one hit doesn't mean you can't become a one hit wonder (which I find to be very embarrassing lol). You just don't snap your fingers and become wealthy, if that was the case everyone would be wealthy. It takes a lot of work.
People put other people down for stuff like this not knowing that there maybe a day where they will need this too. There are so many reasons people apply for Section 8 and other types of PA. Some people lose their jobs. Some people have jobs that they cannot survive from so what happens, they have to get something to help them until they find something better. You don't just quit a job one week and next week you are working somewhere else. This is 2007 and those days are over.
Not everyone on Section 8 or PA is a dead beat who is too lazy to get a job. Some people are and other people aren't. I know several people who were on PA now they are college graduates, they have their own place and they are taking care of themselves without the help of PA. This was to help them temporarily.
Funny, those who talk about other people using Section 8 and PA will more likely be the ones who will need it one day.
BTW, J.***. Rowling was on Public Assistance for 12 years. Now she is a BILLIONARE... See how things turn out?
Well, f@ck you MTO. Everyone can't just be millionaires. All you @ssholes should know that there ARE REALLY some people out there who need section 8. Just because your on section 8 doesnt mean YOU WILL stay there. Some people need a little help. and SECOND, your all F-ing stupid if you really believe this *** story.
