: MediaTakeOut.com got its hands on a recent pic of Gary Coleman. Apparently he's fallen on hard times and has resorted to signing items and then selling them on eBay.

He has a kidney condition that makes his skin look darker and no matter how much lotion he put on he will still be ashy. This was featured on the CL blog, but they removed because they realized it's a condition, not really his ash. Pray for him, that he gets healed, and some money for him to live off of.
Years ago I had to spend a few days in a hospital. An older man in the room had severe kidney problems. His skin was dark and very, very ashy. I am not a 100% sure, but I believe there was also a slight odor from his body as a result of his kidney condition.
If we reflect back on Coleman's career, we will see that his parents took advantage of him. The money that he earned on Different Strokes t.v. series as well as t.v. movies was spent off by his parents. When Coleman was of age to get his money there basically was none.
Fortunately, Danny DeVito has experienced success in acting despite his height. Coleman has not had that opportunity despite his excellent acting ability. If you remember, Coleman had some wonderful roles during his career. Maybe Tyler Perry can provide Coleman with a role in the next movie.
Part of having kidney disease is eczema. All yall folks dissin Gary, know he was the man when we were growing-up. He made me laugh as a kid on many a night. He's been going through it for a long time. Someone should help him out by giving him some type of reality show. I would call it, "Whatchu talkin bout". I think it would be a hit, and put some money back in his pockets. The crazy thing is that he used to make a lot of money as a young dude, but his parents did'em greasy. He could have got all doped out like Todd Bridges, or took himself out like Dana Plato, but he didn't. Now he's the butt of everyones jokes. HOLLYWOOD

His story has been a childhood tragedy! He proved in court that his parents stole all of his money. I don't know if he ever reconciled with them. That's why the SAG had to come out with trusts for children; their parents were stealing all their money. A child's job is not to support the family lavishly.
I wonder if Gary ever received any counseling? Tyler Perry should use him in one of his movies. Him and Madea. That would be hilarious.

I feel bad for him because he's had a disease all his life that's he struggles with. I don't feel bad for him because he's broke! Get over it! Get off your azz and find work! It's called "uremic frost" a condition of renal failure patients. The salt from the body comes through the skin pores and stays there. Its very itchy and dry. He was a security guard at a local LA mall, but I haven't seen him in a while. He very angry, and I know I would be too if my parents took ALL my D#@N money. They left him with S&^T!, and should have been prosecuted even if they had to take their social security checks.

Ive heard of folks who have killed themselves over less than what this dude has been through in his life. Its a difference between being broke and coming from everything to being broke. MOST OF YA'LL ON HERE AINT NEVA HAD SHYT SO YOU PROBABLY COULDNT UNDASTAND IT! This would be funny if it were not for the fact that he is suffering from a physical condition. he had a live transplant for crying out loud.
