: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou may have a child on the way soon. How do we know this??/ Well, when a New York Post reporter asked the queen of Baby Phat what she wanted for Christmas, she responded, "A baby!"
Kimora and Djimon have been dating since the former model separated from Russell Simmons in 2006.
Here's my take...
1)Kimora got something on Russell. Which explains their loyalty to each other.
2)She'll have Djimon's baby...she probably really loves him but he seems rather low key. You didn't really see/hear about him in the tabs until he got with her. That may cause some strain.
3)Yes Russell did help her become rich and famous. As soon as Phat Farm took off and other hip hop artists followed suit (Diddy, Jay) he put out her baby Phat line to capture the moment. She really doesn't need too much business savvy...they can afford to pay someone to create those disastrous designs.
I think he is more of a laid back type of guy, he has that international appeal. He speaks very intelligent and he has a strong presence. I think Kimora is attracted to that cool sense of a man, if you get my drift. I am happy for her. Those babies will be beautiful! I truly respect Kimora. Also I do see her as a Black woman.She is mixed, but *** it, all Black folks in America down the line are, I think she carried herself real good and she never denied who she was, she embraced being black in a positive light!! lov a girl!!! Her line does look rather cheezy, I mean, I'm 18 but I do like to look mature especially when I go out to eat or to a nice club....you can't do that wearing Baby Phat...big stupid lookn' gold cat embroil all over the backside, it looks tacky! Baby Phat just ain't my style.....revamp you line, some of the pieces look ok, but they have that huge logo all over it, not a good look!
The two of them would have beautiful kids together since they are both very cute. Sadly, though just because she wants a baby doesn't mean she should have one. After all they aren't married and even though she likes him they haven't been together that long. I am proud that Media take out readers and authors didn't have to go too far with the black comments this time. Some people on here are growing up a little I see. It just shows a lot of self hatred when a black person has to call someone black this and black that. We need to rise above hating ourselves over the color of our skin. Racism within our OWN race is a HUGE problem.

Djimon and Russell are best friends! So, maybe that's why he's approved and all you people calling Kimora a gold digger, well...Russell already has a girlfriend and she has nothing on Kimora!
I love her and Dijmon as a couple. They compliment each other, where as it looked like a freak show when she and Russell were together.

i aint sayin that they are less important,but the law doesnt really recognize them as much as the they recognize children born while married .case in point, my aunt was married and had two kids with her husband, he had 13 other kids outside the marriage, and they split up. he had 40,000 dollars in his bank account and all the baby mothers were fighting for it. and guess what none of the kids that he had outside of his marriage got the money, only the 2 that he had with my aunt got the money cause he was married to her when they had the kids. thats what i meant by "illegitimate children". so dont get ur panties in a bond.
Good for her. Kimora and Russell obviously like each other, but they are no longer in love, that does not mean they cannot co-exist and be happy. They have obviously worked out an arrangement that is beneficial to all involved. The kids will be fine. Many wealthy people do this especially in marriages where money was matched to money, they are just not as open.
A nasty divorce is the only divorce that they could have, so to avoid that, since Kimora is now a mogul by marriage, she is also thinking, like a business woman. Do not get caught up in love and sentiment, it only bring war and bitterness, and six weeks on court TV.
This is a classic case... 1. Woman uses rich man to get ahead. 2. Woman leaves man once she "arrives". 3. Woman finds another man and falls hard for him. 4. Karma bites woman in the a**!! He'll hurt her - Trust!

Them other baby mamas sound stupid to me, my older cousin had a baby by a guy who she didn't marry and guess what, she made sure he paid for that kid every month and years to come....all that hub blah you yappn' about sound like some 1970 type stuff, where the women were happy just to get a piece, at any cost......today that ain't happening, the government would have went after his womanizing behind and as long as those women enforced it, not only would they have gotten paid, but them assets would have been divided up equally as well.......so it's nice that your ppl make babies and leave them dangling in the wind. I don't think Djimon IS okay with the whole 'Let's get pregnant RIGHT NOW and TALK about marriage LATER ON' theory.
I believe that Kimora and Russ' relationship is complicated in that THEY have some sort of an agreement and only THEY are privvy to the TERMS of that agreement so even though... they've both sort of moved on to DATE and potentially make babies with other people neither one wants to LEGALLY decide WHO gets WHAT in a divorce. So while the two of them are comfortable with this setup some more SERIOUS minded folks may not be. Namely Djimon.
He reminds me a little of Halle Berry's baby daddy...the two of them look as if they're just along for the ride and the women are driving.
From the looks of things, Halle clearly made the decision to get pregnant banking on the fact that Gabe loved her enough to 'Get Over' having HIS right to choose taken away. As a result he made up some story about having to stay in New York to continue his modeling career rather than move to L.A. where Halle and the baby will be residing. As if he couldn't model in L.A. I think he's angry (rightfully so) and has decided to spend some time apart from Halle.
As for Djimon and Kimora, I hope they're able to recognize and honor the importance of setting an example for the two little girls that are ALREADY here.

You know, I agree with the "baby daddy" comment you made. Why don't people get married anymore? You had a valid point until you said, "Why don't these HEFFER'S get married?"
Well, it takes TWO to get married. Instead of asking why don't women get married, why not ask an even better question....Why don't MEN learn to be morally upstanding the way my great, great grandaddy was back in the day, and MARRY the woman before making her his baby momma? EVERY woman wants to get married. Though the reasons may vary from woman to woman, but nonetheless, every woman wants a wedding. It's just that with these poor choices of men they have to choose from, they get discouraged and settle for being somebody's mom. I mean, that much we're guaranteed to become if not somebody's wife.
And in case you're wondering...yes, I am married. Yes...marriage is slowly becoming unheard of in the black community, thanks to the men who enjoy drinking the milk without paying for the cow. Women, take heed to the Ciara song called, "Like A Boy." If we could be cold-hearted and tasteless like they are, the single mom birth rate would fall tremendously.

Kimora is a successful grown *** woman, she can do what she wants, and if she wants to be responsible for another baby... Well she's certainly got enough to share. And, her relationship with Russell is very good, and even though their not together anymore, they both have respect and love for each other- no drama whats so ever there. Why *** she have another baby- if she wants?? Its not like she's Tonya down the street or Elly Mae at the trailer park, with 4 kids- all different daddys and on public assistance.
I have to admit that when Kimora first stepped on the scene I couldn't stand her, she was loud, crass, matrialistic but over the years the *** has grown on me so here's my take on several things: 1) I know that Russell gave her baby phat but we seem to forget that she had her own money and her own career long before she met Russell, true she wasn't on Russell's level but she did bring something to the table. She was the face of Chanel at age 13 and Karl Lagerfeld has called her his muse so.... while baby phat was 'given' to her she did make it into what it is today. *and as a side note I love Baby phat maybe it's because I'm from the hood so we like our things to be flashy and to make a statement and if you look around any hood most of the females are wearing baby phat after all baby phat is an urban clothing line, her KLS line is the more understated sophisticated line. 2) I believe she and Russell have a good relationship because he basically watched her grow up. I think he started pursuing her when she was 17 and she's what in her late 20's early 30's so there's alot of history and growth between them. However I alway's had a problem with how she treated him, she seemed so domineering and dismissivie of him considering she wouldn't be who she was without him. I don't think Djimon plays that though. 3)I do think she's incredibly matrialisitic but when you come from humble beginnings and then achieve some wealth you have a tendency to talk about it and show it off quite a lot just to say you have something so I can understand why she is the way she is and face it the *** must be doing something right because she has several clothing line, 2 perfumes, book deals and a t.v. show not to mention has been or is in love with 2 powerful men so I have to give it to her. I ain't hatin.

Kimora's daughters are gorgeous, but Aoki is the grown one who definitely may need a pop in the mouth eventually. Children still need to respect their elders and not talk to adults any ole kind of way, I don't give a *** how famous they are or their parents are!!!

To Miss JNS: Every woman DOES NOT want to get married maybe its fair to say MOST women want to get married but I dont want to get married. I have a wonderful man nonetheless, but I dont need to get married and waste money on a wedding. Honestly I just want the nice dress and a party, but I dont need to get money to have him having access to all my ***. Am arriage is alot to get out of if the need arises. From what I read I just saw that she stated that she wanted a BABY for Christmas....not necessarily Djimon's baby. Kimora is the type of person that just says things out of her mouth for attention, and I'm sure she knew by her comment of wanting a baby it would create some type of speculation and talk about herself. Previously, in one of her interviews, I know she had talked a about wanting to adopt a child from another country. Hell, like some of the other posts stated..she needs to try actually raising and guiding the two kids she already has. They are too smart mouthed and have alot of back talk with them that is totally inappropriate especially when talking to adults that they should respect. Someone made a comment about her not doing anything for charity..I agree. Recently her and her daughters went to a NY hospital to give gifts to the children there and read and play with them. But keyword: THANKSGIVING..you usually don't hear about her and her kids going to spend time with unfortunate kids/people for goodwill. I guess shes too busy bossing her staff around and getting ready for fashion shows and parties for the so called "elite".
