: Y'all know we at MediaTakeOut.com could say a lot about how all Sanaa and 'em came hard at us in the latest issue of Essence. But we'll just let the slide for now. 'Cause we know them girls is so caught up in the Hollywood cocoon that they don't realize that ain't no one in mainstream media trying to give them any shine.
You ladies need to be thanking MediaTakeOut.com for keeping your name on the mouths of our nearly 2 million daily readers. Now that we've gotten that off our chests, here are pictures from the event (which BTW, was not covered by anyone in mainstream media)....
Did you read the part where Sanaa Lathan said " Im not getting up from my dinner to take no picture with a fan"!! Im like are you freaking kidding me!! These people underestimate the power of fans!! If they didnt exist neither would you! I love them all but they all need a REALITY check!! Yes you do deserve privacy but knowone asked you to choose this career so deal with it!!
PS- Malinda is still the baddest of them all LOVE HER!!
@Antidumb
What picture are you looking at, because that IS Regina Hall. Malinda's rocking the *** hair cut, which looks great on her.
Now we KNOW Gabby was there, she was taking the pictures. LOL
Everyone looks good! But will Gabby and the crew acknowledge that we are giving them props on this site? Probably not...seems like all folks can remember are the BAD things that are said about them. Oh well, no matter. Everyone in the world gets talked about, famous or not.

Co-sign on that!
Id hate to admit MTO is right..believe me, I do..but I have to agree with them on this one..I read a lot of gossip mags(its my only vice) and I never see any of these chicks in those magazines..the mainstream media could care less about them..even black magazines are always focusing on either new talent or legends..theyre not trying to write about people who are borderline z-listers who do one movie every two years..its a waste of ink and print..I like all of these ladies, but lets face it, our white friends and co-workers dont know who these people are..the white people run the media and they write for their public..even Perez Hilton, who is Cuban, wont write about these women because the majority of his readers are white and they wont go to his site and advertisers wont pay him if they wrote about these people..lets face the facts..the gossip mags and sites keep people popular and make companies want to use them to advertise products or to cast them in movies..cant say that happens with our people..and who has seen any of these women really work in the past few years? if it wasnt for MTO I wouldnt know what Nia Long looked like now..they talk smack about these women, but they keep yall talking about them
If it wasn't for media outlets like MTO, there would be nothing to read about in reference to the Black stars we have grown to adore. How dare the likes of Sanaa Lathan, and whomever else had anything negative to say about this and any other Black site. I really take offense to the comment she made about not getting up from dinner to take a picture with a fan. And to think, I actually paid to see "Something New," just because she was in it. How hypocritcal to bag on the very people who have supported you and made you the star you are today. Even if you wouldn't get up to take a picture, you should not have put it in print as somewhat of a slap in the face to the fans who probably would not expect you to get up and take a picture. I guess her season on "Nip/Tuck and the new "nose job" to boot, have made her forget she actually were thankful to us way back in the day. And anyway, why's she playing all the new roles where she's trying to get with a White guy. I'm not knocking her, it's whatever, but keep it moving Sanaa. Why does she like so many others feel that in order to climb in the "White-Mainstream World," they need to degrade the very world that made them who they are today. And what did Nia have to say? See that's why the bootleggers do the business that they do-these Negroes done lost they minds.
MTO YOU WERE DIRTY IN TALKING ABOUT THESE LADIES! THEY ARE THE FEW CLASSY ONES WE HAVE! LAY OFF THE BEAUTIFUL CLASSY BLACK ACTRESSES!
AND YOU MEAN READERS REMEMBER THESE LADIES REP YOU! BUILD EM UP! WHITE AMERICA THEY HAVE TO FIGHT EVERYDAY THEY DONT NEED YALL *** DOING EM WRONG.
SANAA LATHAN AND TIA MOWRY JUST CANNOT TAKE A BAD PIC!
Oh simmer down MTO! Ya'll just salty because Sanaa and Nia called you out and told you about yourselves! You might be giving these women exposure, but you always have something less than nice to say about somebody, so why should they be grateful to you? And BTW, it was "mainstream" media that provided the above pics you posted! I got love for you MTO, but sometimes ya'll can be lame as hell.
Nia Long is s[SPAM]oooo beautiful and Natural!! Thx for not dying your hair blonde or wearing blonde wigs!!
Melinda is soooo beautiful with that flawless complexion!!Oh so beautiful!!
Sanaa is also a natural black beauty and so is Regina..
Stop hating on the few black women that are proud of being black and looking black other then you know who wearing blonde weaves!! These are the black women that represent beautiful black women..not a tied tung *** that walks around on stage like a dragon!! And also does not know how to conduct meetings!!!
These are beautiful black women so leave them the *** alone!!!
Wow, we'll I have to go back and read what was said by these talented sisters. But I love Sanaa Lathan. She is beautiful and talented and I want her to do more stuff, get her face out there more. If these no-talented, slutty socialites can get daily press and make money just because...then certainly talented people can. This goes to show that you don't really need talent to be famous and stay famous.
LOL People on this site are hilarious. I love Nia Long shes really talented. Sanaa is just kin to somebody thats why she gets the few roles she does but in comparison to all of the really bad actors she is okay. I guess shes proof that nepotism not only works for whites in Hollywood but can also work for blacks. In all of the pictures everyone looks nice.
Rochelle looks pretty and I don't know who she is, and wow, Sanaa looks glowing and naturally beautiful in the pic w/ no lipstick. MTO is right though, check out the gossip mags and websites, they rarely talk about black celebs and if they do, it's because it affects them in some way or if they are mainstream or what not. They really only talk about Rihanna and Beyonce on the sites not directed towards blacks.
***, get real cable and basic MTO or spring for Directv. This was covered by alot of Mainstream outlets. Like E and entertainment ***. They shoud scream on you. They only way you know how to attract readers is to but up negative headlines. Most of your stories are lies any way. MTO couldnot get a real article written on them in star magazine.
Who cares whether Sanaa Lathan is not going to get up to take a picture with a fan, she did not have to work to get in movies anyways. What makes her such a good actress??? Her talent is not that obvious 2 me. Some people posting act like she is Angela Bassett or somebody her dad is a producer. How talented do you have to be to be kin to someone. Nia Long is the bomb. Gabby is a good actress 2. Regina King is very underrated and talented.
