: MediaTakeOut.com was the first news source in the world to tell you that Jay Z and Beyonce were considering forming a new record label together when Jay Z's contract with Def Jam ends later this year. Well according to our sources, the two are one step closer to making that new label a possibility.
According to one of MediaTakeOut.com's insiders over at Sony BMG, it now looks like they'll be the home to the new label. The insider explains, "While Beyonce has satisfied her contractual obligations with [Sony BMG], we have a very strong relationship with Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment ... and he'll likely play a big part in any label that [Jay Z and Beyonce] would form." The insider continues, "It just makes the most sense for them to bring the label [to Sony BMG] and I think everyone knows that."
But it's not a done deal yet. As we reported to you a few days ago, Def Jam has reportedly offered Jay Z a $10+ million deal to stay on as head of the label.

BTW JD is a much better producer/manager than he is. Maybe they should offer that job to JD. Because the only person I saw Jay-Z halfway promote was Rihanna (Basketball game/publicity stunt). I don't even think he helped Kanye.

yo pple kill me with this Jay dont do know promoting. Jay is not the only one at def jam who promotes. Yall just say his name cause thats the only one yall know. When kevin lyles was there. he wasnt making it happen. Nobody said his name cause he aint a rapper. the ppl at def jam knew what they was getting when they signed Jay. And they still trying to keep him there.
J is a horrible executive.....that's why his artist are so unhappy......he's good when it comes to his business, but not everyone else......some ppl just don't got it! but he better think twice about that beyonce collabo....Her father is gonna make sure his finger is in the pot all away across the board! That might not be a good move J! but Jay sucks anyway, so who cares!
It would be monumental however, there are bigger fish to fry in the the strategic and revolutionary way one must conquer this entertainment business today. One must come up with how to market promote, and make money from all these new loose illegal areas to be able to successfully make a label thrive again. In the end even if they make the next best label, it will take revolutionary technological minds to achieve success in the age of piracy and pooooooor artist albums that are being put out people are stealing because of horrible albums with 2 good tracks and the radio playing 8 songs in a 24hr rotation. No adult music no exposure of real musicians outside of the 8 recording artist who arein that rotation, so it gets played out the next week after release. Where is the music!!!!!! I pray they are successful and promote their artist and not just use it to promote only themselves like so many artists who get labels do.
