: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Eminem's mother Debbie Nelson has come out with a tell all book about her son. In it, Debbie claims that Eminem is a manic depressive and could commit suicide at any minute.
Here's the way Amazon.com describes the book:
Eminem is the biggest music star in the world today, a rap phenomenon who's sold more than 57 million records worldwide, won nine Grammys, countless MTV awards and an Oscar for the song "Lose Yourself" taken from the soundtrack of his acclaimed debut movie "8 Mile".What a mother....Since 1999, when he burst into the world's consciousness with the mega-selling "The Slim Shady LP", Eminem has revealed in outspoken detail every aspect of his tortured existence. The way he tells it in his lyrics, he's lived a life straight out of a Jerry Springer soap opera since birth. But how much of his music is inspired by the truth, and how much is poetic license?
Only one woman knows - his mother Debbie Nelson. And she says he's made up so many tales over the years that he no longer knows the difference between fact and fiction. Debbie has been spat on by fans, attacked and robbed at gunpoint on "8 Mile Road", and reviled on dozens of internet sites as the most hated mother in the world. But Debbie is still a loving mother, devoted grandmother and, she says, her son's staunchest support through a string of court appearances. And despite the lawsuits and the stinging lyrical exposures, she is still desperately seeking reconciliation with her former Mommy's boy.
Debbie reveals a bitter-sweet story of a single mother who gave her son everything in an attempt to make up for his absent father and her own miserable childhood. She tells the inside truth about Marshall Bruce Mathers III, and tries to untangle the outspoken and enigmatic alter egos Eminem and "Slim Shady". It's a rocky road and Debbie does not try to conceal the facts.
This is her open letter to Eminem, a loving reminder of how they once were, and an attempt to set the record straight and refute allegations of her own drug abuse and tell the real story behind some of her son's most famous lyrics. An absolute must for every Eminem fan, it reveals that there's much more to the story than his followers ever thought.

This woman has been telling her "side" for years. I don't believe a word she says. If someone is a great parent, why would her child lie like that? After 8 Mile came out even Eminem's grandmother said he was abused and neglected as a child. She also said he was cursed at so much that the child probably thought his name was a curse word. That speaks volumes about Debbie Nelsons' parenting skills.
No parents are perfece and perhaps she raised her son the way she was raised but at least admit your faults at being a bad parent. Don't try and paint the picture rosy after 30+ years.
I believe if she admitted the truth, her son would be on the road to healing, internally and emotionally.
Some parents do such a bad job that they just block it out and years later create a wonderful story about how great they were. Give me a break. The truth is the light.
I don't understand why most of you up here are in support of Eminem and HIS SIDE of the story. Last I heard, there are TWO sides. We hear Em talking about his mom, but how do we know that his version is the truth? Just because you got another rapper who disrespects women, doesn't mean that he's your God, and is to be listened to. Regardless of what kind of mother he says she was, she's STILL his mom! He could have just packed up his stuff and left and not even acknowledge her in his songs.
I don't follow this guy's career, however I will say that only a white dude would publicly demonize his mother and only a white mother would write a tell all book about her child. I could easily say that it's money which corrupts them. Black folk typically don't put family business out in the streets and talk back to they momma, no matter how grown they are.
@VaHoneyBee...You should really read MissJNS's comment. In fact, many of you trashing Eminem's mom should read it. It's amusing how so many people jumping on the white boy's side believe all the propaganda that's thrown at them. Do you have a brain?
Oh, someone with a name closely related to an enema, should not be taken seriously.
Great comment MissJNS!
I agree with QueenofNewYork and JNS. Rap is not just a "Black" persons genre. It's a type of music that everyone is entitled to share in. Back when rap USED to be informing and powerful it was used to make a difference in the world and not just their neighborhoods. It was a way to reach out. Nowadays it's split up into good rap (that's informative and not degrating) and trashy rap or hood rap (that only talks about beefs and material values). i acknowledge that eminme can rap and applaud he made it this far. He takes care of his responsibilities and he has tried to change the world in a good way. he even tried to not get bus into office and we ignore him for reasons because of skin color. maybe his mom is trying to speak out what was left behind. do you honestly think he would rap about how his mom fed him and clothed him. that would take him all the way back to where he began. sometimes you make sacrifices. if you study him closely he has some characteristics of a mamas boy.
