: As we told you last week, MediaTakeOut.com was IN THE BUILDING at Kim Porter's son Quincy's STUNNA 16 Party. And we can report to you that Quincy's father, Al B Sure, did not attend the event.
After speaking to a number of people at the event, we found out why. Al B Sure initially agreed to attend the event, but he backed out at the last minute. Why, you ask. Al claimed that he felt "disrespected" by the event because of its original theme - "Stuntin' Like My Daddy." According to Al, he was Quincy's father - and Diddy, by allowing the event to be themed that way, was encroaching on his territory.
But that's not the end of the story. MediaTakeOut.com learned that last week, after being told that Al B Sure was upset with the theme that Quincy chose, Diddy changed the theme. He hoped that the new theme of the event, 'Quincy's Stunna 16 Party,' would get Al B Sure to change his mind, and come out to the event.
A person involved with the promotion tells MediaTakeOut.com, "[Diddy and Kim] spent millions of dollars making the event a Stuntin' Like My Daddy party. It wasn't easy to re-theme the party, but [Diddy] made sure that we did it."
And once the theme was officially changed, Diddy reached out personally to Al B Sure and asked him to attend. A person close to the Combs family told MediaTakeOut.com, "[Diddy] all but begged [Al B Sure] to come out to the event. He knew how much it would mean for Quincy to have his father there. But [Al] wouldn't budge."
According to family insider, Diddy's not the problem. The insider explained to MediaTakeOut.com, "Diddy hasn't done anything to keep Quincy away from his father. In fact, he encourages their relationship." Our insider continued, "What is [Diddy] supposed to do. He loves Quincy as if he were his own son. ... You may be able to say a lot of bad things about [Diddy], but you can't say anything about the kind of father he is to those boys."

I think this is really sad that MTO would favor Diddy on this. There is no way that this is true. That man will manipulate the media any way he can. Maybe Al B shoulda just had the *** to step up and not worry about what the theme of the party was. Let me explain something to you and any deadbeat dads that may be reading this. A real ni*#a don't have time to wait for his woman's baby daddy to step up to the plate and do something for "his own child". Diddy got kids with Kim, so he has to be careful to show Kim and Al B's son the same love as his own 3 kids, and not care about how Al B feels.
It's a double edged sword. If Diddy were treating his kids better than Q, then that would hurt Q and Kim. If Al B decides for whatever reason to not show up to something for Q, then Diddy will have to fill in, because as Kim's man that is what he is supposed to do. Deadbeat fathers are good at playing the victim and blaming everybody but themselves for not having a relationship with their kids. This situation happens all the time. Sometimes when parents aren't together they have seperate events for their children. Does anyone know wether or not he's gone to any other function they've thrown for Quincy? Or better yet what if he discussed with his son that he wasn't planning on being there and he was o.***. with it? Do you honestly think the man just told Puff that he wasn't going to be there and didn't bother to run it by his own child? I think not.
I had this same incident happen years ago. When I split up with my ex, my daughter would have Christmas and birthdays with his family and the same with mine. In our case it worked out for the better because she knew she would have double celebrations and she really looked forward to the events. There were also times when we would get together and have joint functions.
Who's to say that this isn't what's happening here. I wouldn't completely count the man out just yet until we hear his side of the story.

Plus people don't realize it's not my sons Q's real birthday. His real birthday is June 4th the same as Mine and that was for some TV mess. I keep it real.
Diddy can be quite a piece of work but I respect him because he takes care of his kids and obviously someone else's too. I can see Al being upset with the theme but they changed it so the least he could do is show up for his sons birthday - if him and diddy have a issue it should be put on hold for the benefit of the child.
