I would definitely support him. He is an awesome rapper. He is the best lyricist out there. I would go as far as to say he is up there with Tupac. (lyrically)Like most, he is caught between right and wrong. But who isn't. I read, "that when I want to good, evil is always present".(Bible) Even in all his mess he recognizes God.
Any body can change. The lord can use any person to bring his message. There are a group of people that would listen and follow DMX. Just remember one of the greatest ministers of all times Paul persocuted christians, but later traveled spreading the word of God. Me for one always belived that was the thorn in his side. So DMX and gospel is not impossible. If listen to some of his early songs you hear some confused christian messages.

I don't care what yall say about DMX, all I know is "thats my mans and 'em". I went to his performance at Xandu in Philly and I completely love this man. We are so quick to judge, but forget that we have families with issues as well. His gospel album does not surprise me, because he always had a personal walk and relationship with God. Good for your X, God is not through with you yet!!!!!!!!!
Just bc someone has bad ways and lived a hard life does not mean they cant come out and make a gospel album. U never know what God has in store, he can be using DMX for u ppl who continue to judge ppl and ridicule them to prove to u all that dmx can do it and if/when he does, he might just turn alot of ppls lives by whatever message he sends out to his fans and followers. If he comes out wit it, i'll jump on that album and be a supporter bcuz he is trying and ***, it might just be good.

Sounds *** to me. I'm not being judgmental, I'm just taking his "roller-coaster" behavior into account. If he's so close to God, then why the drugs? Why all the infidelities? Why all this negative behavior? Why steal cars from the airport? DMX is too inconsistant. One minute he's talking about the Lord, the next minute he's screaming and cursing and barking at people. And if he starts a church, sh*t. Y'all can go if y'all want to, but I won't be there.
i know X is flyin now instead of waiting until later...i agree with shlay85...he needs to start straightening out his life way before he puts out that gospel joint...wasn't he just on video tape talking about lyin to woman when he gets caught in bed with a chick other then tashera?..and he was blazin the piff while recording the video...this is wrong in so many ways.....the word of God is no joke and he'd make it one in my opinion if he does it...he was a dope mc back in the days tho..but he needs help..

All I'm saying is don't put out no gospel album if you're not practicing what you're preaching. It's insanely hypocritical. I'm with Spraggaswifey. The Word of God is NOT a joke, and it *** be taken lightly. If he's not going to take his walk with the Lord seriously, and he has PROVEN MANY TIMES that he doesn't, then I don't wish to hear any gospel album put out by DMX. I understand that we are all human and we all make mistakes, but come on. We're all grown here. He knows better than to cheat on his wife, he knows better than to do drugs. He knows he has a bad temper, he knows that his behavior is destructive. Yet he has not consistently seen a doctor or therapist to counteract any of this. How is it that you read the Bible and go to church and conspire to put out a gospel album and you still don't carry yourself as if you know right from wrong? Either you're right or you ain't right. Ain't no gospel album in the world gonna change that. You can't be bad and good. Either you're gonna be bad, or you're gonna be good. I don't understand the judgemental folks here. Did it ever occur to any of you that doing this album could be A PART of him getting himself together ???? He's always been a spiritual person, and his spiritual content has been powerful. When Aaliyah died, he called into MTV and read a poem he wrote for her. It was beautiful, and i was in tears by the time he was done. He has had a difficult life, and challenges a lot of you could never imagine. Those of you who knock him and put him down because of his troubles should instead be grateful that you haven't had to go through half of what he's had to go through. So quick with the stone-throwing..so i guess none of you had premarital *** or ever broke any of the 10 commandments, right ? Where's the Christian compassion ?? Everyone doesn't get to God in the same way. Some people's journey takes twists and turns. Sometimes, those are the ones who have the strongest message, because they have overcome adversity. Stop judging other people who, once again, you don't even know. Better yet, just stop judging other people period, because no one, Christian or otherwise, is perfect ! Besides, last time i checked, judging people was God's job, not yours..and no, He doesn't need your input, help or assistance with it.
