: MediaTakeOut.com was the first news source in the world to tell you that Jay Z and Apple were in negotiations to form a new record label last summer. Well now we're hearing that the negotiations may have resumed.
According to the website Boy Genius, Jay Z has officially signed on with Apple. Here's what they're reporting:
This one’s been floating around like a hot air balloon, but we’ve just about confirmed it. For those that don’t know, Jay-Z left Def Jam as President last month, and everyone’s been talking about where he’s heading. While this might be one of his many other ventures, we just heard that Jay-Z is launching a record label with Apple. No, Beyonce will not be formally attached. This is from a high-up person attached to Jay (no, not who you’re thinking), and it’s said to be a go! Jay is supposedly totally into the business model, and really wants this to happen.Hope Jay Z doesn't let his ego blow up these negotiations like he did the other two......

BTW - You can be a loser in 2007 and then become a winner in 2008.. Come on people!!!! Jay needed to step down from Def Jam. His so-called president expertise at Rocafella was the fact that he was the lead artists and they had record sells as a whole. Nothing creative, no so-called "business model"... just sold albums - that simple! Company presidents are to create new business models DURING their tenure that moves waves for others to follow. He didn't do that at the last two labels, where does that bright idea come from that he can do it at Apple? He's not, the comment was that he likes "Apples model", meaning it already exists. The joint collabo with him and Beyonce's "fixed" relationship is what has gained him the most crossover exposure and popularity. Prior to that, another rapper who was able to get in on the urban wear wagon early on and made a hell of a profit.
PEOPLE PLEASE GET THE FACTS FIRST BEFORE MAKING COMMENTS ON JAY-Z’s MOVES IN BUSINESS
One source I talked to said that “logistically this is possible, but unlikely.” He asks, “Is this core to what they’re doing? Answer? No.”
And one other thing: Do a Google search of Jay-Z and Apple and you’ll see that these two already have a contentious relationship. AppleInsider pointed this out as well: Jay-Z railed against Apple’s iTunes a couple of months ago, saying his new album, American Gangster, would not be made available on iTunes since the service let shoppers buy individual songs instead of the entire album.
In a statement released at the time, Jay-Z said, “As movies are not sold scene by scene, this collection will not be sold as individual singles.”
That’s not to say a new Jay-Z/Apple label would do things differently, if it came to fruition. But something like this might be a lot more trouble than it’s worth.

Untrue. I said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about Beyonce in this post. Yet, you went ballistic as if I did and you are Tina Knowles. I don't have a fantasy about Jay and Rihanna, it is my PERSONAL BELIEF and OPINION that they are a couple. You happen to disagree. Who cares.
