: It appears as if Hillary Clinton may have officially lost the African-American vote. MediaTakeOut.com got a sneak peak at the exit polling in yesterday's Michigan primary (which Obama and Edwards agreed to sit out). And the polling showed that 70% of the African Americans voted for "Other" instead of Hillary Clinton.
But the news gets worse for Hillary. MediaTakeOut.com spoke with a Michigan political observer who claims that a lot of Obama and Edwards supporters didn't show up to vote - so the people who actually showed up to vote against Hillary must have been really pissed
Wonder how she plans on winning South Carolina with those numbers. Or for that matter - how she plans on winning Texas, Georgia, North Carolina or New York or New Jersey. Knowing how dirty the Clintons play, expect more race-based attacks on Obama...
MTO she actually won the Democratic Primary for Michigan with over 50% of the vote...get your story together. It's so obvious that MTO doesnt like Hillary. Everyday they have a story bashing her or some jacked-up picture of her. Looks like MTO doesnt practice those "good" Journalistic skills that they are always preaching about!
1. Hillary is not Bill
2. Just because you sleep in the bed with someone who was governor and president doesn't mean you can claim their accomplishments.
3. Obama has more elected experience than Hillary. Obama was an Illinois State Senator from 1997-2004 and U.S. Senator since 2005. Hillary has been a Senator since 2001 and New York was stupid enough to elect another senator who never lived in the state until it was time to run for office.
4. Everyday black people are turned off by Clintons people especially the black ones attacking Obama about playing the race card. In fact, it was the Clinton camp that is trying to bait him into playing the race card and if anything Obama gets criticized by regular blacks for not being more forceful against these types of attacks.
It is now official. Any state with a sizable black population will go for Obama.
Obama's name was not on the ballot... the love affair between the clinton's and the black community came to a screeching halt when the decided to gang up on Obama and use BET *** Bob Johnson to dredge up past drug use by Obama and then decide to back away from his comments... when black leaders came out in droves on TV to put Johnson in his proper place, Hillary called a 'truce'!
She better back da f*&^ up... she has put herself in a very peculiar position now. Any attack on Obama will reflect bad on her..

there are no delegates to win, all 128 were striped away by the dnc for moving up their primary
Okay, since when did Michigan become the representative of the African-American/Black vote for the entire country? I'm really sick of all these reports on "the Black vote". Nobody, Dem or Rep, have the black vote in their pocket---that includes Obama...Lord knows he's no angel either. Don't forget the fact that the whole Dem primary in Michgan got screwed up anyway so we'll never truly know what the outcome could have been. Like someone said before, Clinton still got the nod so now what? Exit polls are ***-ish anyway.
"Wonder how she plans on winning South Carolina with those numbers. Or for that matter - how she plans on winning Texas, Georgia, North Carolina or New York or New Jersey. I did see the NV debate last ***.Every single mintue of it... Hilary was great! Obama bombed,he stated he is not organized and needs someone to handle his important matters- If someone hands him a piece of paper he would lose it... I guess since we already have that type of leader we should elect him. I hope he doesn't misplace an importnat *** regarding a post 9-11 attack. No sir! I, for one am and will always be a Hilary supporter. Now if Obama get the nomination, of course I will vote from him. Until then Hilary all the way....

i saw that. hillary saw the opening and went for the kill. but then obama hit back with the whole judgement thing again. i think it was a wash
@ DeRaCa Flag post
and it didn't look to good for hillary when obama dug in on her for that pro credit card company vote. it made her look like she wasn't out for the best interest of the citizens
on the other hand. she really dug in with specific examples of what she will and has done.
i don't know...i don't think there was a clear winner from last ***. i did like the round table. made thing a little more intimate
@ car4everrr
So true she turned around and basically let him have it.... Obama did recover and have a good comeback, however he still didn't answer or reslove the issue Hilary or the American people have with that type of leadership. He defended his orignal answer on why he thinks what he stated could work. I, for one am a Manager at a huge world-known bank. I have a total of 15 direct reports and I have learned that a a leader, a real leader, not only has a vision but gets out there themselves and work to implement that vision. He must get on board! Don't get me wrong, I think Obama will be a great president if and I say IF he gets the nomination. I just don't think he is ready! I think Hilary and Obama should team up and take the world by storm... Hilary Clinton- President and Barack Obama- Vice President... That would be something...
I agree with you cat4everrr- there was no winner last ***- I think all three of them did well... What really got me thinking is when someone stated- All three candidates have similar policies and plans on most of the issues and its seems like this vote will be based on personality and how likeable they are alone... Whatever the outcome if Obama, Clinton or even Edwards get the nomination USA will be better off then it is now... CHANGE IS ON THE WAY!
@ DeRaCa
i was leaning towards hillary but now i'm starting to lean a little towards obama. one thing that he did hit on last *** was the fact that hillary sometimes exercises bad judgement ie the war and the vote which he said benefited the credit card companies.
but then again, she is as smart as they come and knows the details. alas, i'm still torn...lol

one things for sure i wasn't going to vote for either one of them had that mess continued. they were 2 seconds away for me giving edwards a serious look-see
FIZZUCK Hillary Clinton!
She KNEW EXACTLY what she was doing by making this a racial contest with her snide-azzed comments. She would much rather cater to racist whites and hispanics, hence the comments. She don't give a rat's azz if she loses some of the "black vote".
And with her WHACK-AZZED views on FORCING adults to get health-care or be fined, she can go straight to hell!!!
If it came down to Hillary vs the John McCain, I'd avoid the polls for the first time in over twenty years of voting.
Bob Johnson should be ashamed of himself. I cringe everytime blacks decide to protest at white-owned tv stations for equal air time for black actors. Bob Johnson had a chance to make a difference and all he did was *** black people out all over the world for others to see us in the most degrading light possible. Is there anything on BET worth watching? Even the hosts of some of the more popular shows can't string a complete sentence together!!

Clinton won less than a quarter of support from black voters. (CNN) — Hillary Clinton faced a grim statistic in Michigan ***, despite her primary "win" there: results revealed that she may have reason to worry about her grasp on the African-American vote.
The Michigan primary vote was essentially meaningless: the national party stripped the state of its delegates because it held its contest too early in the election season, and Clinton was the only major Democratic contender whose name appeared on the ballot.
Even so, roughly 70 percent of Michigan’s African-American voters — a group that makes up a quarter of Michigan’s Democratic electorate — did not cast their votes for Clinton, choosing the “uncommitted” option instead. Yet these voters weren’t uncommitted at all: in fact, according to CNN exit polls, they overwhelmingly favored Barack Obama, whose name did not appear on the ballot.
Had Obama’s name been on the Michigan ballot, CNN exit polls show that he would have won an overwhelming 73 percent of the African-American vote, in contrast to 22 percent who say they would have voted for Clinton under those ***. If South Carolina’s large African-American community votes as Michigan’s, Hillary may not be feeling much ‘southern hospitality’ in that state.

Im from DETROIT And it wasnt alot of people that showed up to vote in the primary but I did and had to vote non commited cause Obama And Edwards dorpped out late last year in 07 they moved our primary up from feb. to january which didnt give them enuff time to get back on the ballot! ***!!! if I dont say so myself!

@Not 1_2_Hate How many black people live in cold *** Michigan anyway? Like 10-20.
You're a little off with the number of black people in Michigan. There is this little city in Michigan called Detroit, it has roughly 900k people and it is 85% black so that means roughly 765k black people in DETROIT ALONE...
did anyone watch the debate on msnbc last ***? well i gota tell you...obama really won me over...it seemed like everytime edwards came at him he was ready....but serious i have decided that obama has my vote...at first i was leaning towards clinton..but after last ***..finding out that she voted for certain bills like the bankruptcy law...she lost me there...how do you say you want to help ppl when you are supporting bills like this that has hurt ppl.....

DEBATE LAST ***: Obama did not say he needed help with organization. He said that he is not good at keeping a bunch of papers, and that his people don't give him papers/memos, etc. until 15 minutes b4 he needs it. Which is understandable; who needs someone whose mind is on keeping up w/ paperwork; that is what a secretary or assistant is for... Lord, knows I wish I had a freaking assistant, speaking for myself, it is hard to stay on top of things that need to really get done fooling around w/ a bunch of paperwork (speaking as a former secretary and now boss; a good assistant is priceless)
HILLARY: voted on the new BANKRUPTCY LAW that makes it harder for people to file, which in turn has made it harder for people to keep their houses and increases foreclosures; this bill was iniated by the credit card industry... BIG BUSINESS HILLARY
THE REVOLUTION IS HERE, AND IT WILL BE TELEVISED.
CALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN NEVADA AND SOUTH CAROLINA TO GET INVOLVED IN THE OBAMA EFFORTS.
LAW SUIT: Hillary through supports filed a lawsuit to stop the caucus on the Vegas strip. This was voted on and decided UNANIMOUSLY back in May 2007. AT WHAT TIME DID IT BECOME UNCONSTITUTIONAL??? MAY JUNE JULY AUGUST SEPTEMBER OCTOBER NOVEMBER DECEMBER JANUARY 2008; after 70,000 strong union workers backed OBAMA (Hillary thought she was going to get their support, b/c Bill had a good relationship w/ them)
Let's see what you got on the issues; don't stop the people's voice; let them vote HILLARY!!!

maybe your reading my comment wrong. i'm only saying that hillary saw an opening and made an opportunity out of it. she hit pretty hard, there's no denying it. he had a nice little one-two punch tho in response to her comment. my personal opinion is it was a wash...but that's just me. i understand how 2 people can see 1 event and walk away with a different impression.
CAN ANYONE, SOMEBODY, PLLEEEASSSEE help me understand what has HILLARY done for black people?
I would love to make an informed decision. I have listened to her and her supporters say that she has 35 years of experience, and that "done a lot for the black community," but no one has said what.
Share your thoughts; where are all the supporters and HILLARY lovers? Your opinion is welcomed and respected. Thank you.

Mr. Johnson is just another tool used to conquer and divide. Obama never commented about Hillary's Martin Luther King comment. It was the media who ran with the information. Why did Mr. Johnson feel the need to get involved. Is it because BET is no longer Black owned and used Mr. Johnson as a pawn to hurt Obama's campaign? hhhhmmmm Is Hillary getting nervous that her camp has to resort to such tactics? OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT.
(missprismhollywood) Fu-*** you and Ron Paul!! Nobody in there right minds will vote for Hillary. She haven't won 1 debate, she only tell people what she thinks they want to here, she's weak, she supported the war months ago, she's spoiled as hell, and she is just *** dumb overall. Obama has been the best canidate since day one so I hope the best person win. (smile) OBAMA 2008!!!!!
Obama is the best for the job.. very genuine and likeable. We need a strong president to deliver. Not a cry-baby over matters.
Obama all the way baby!!!!!
People remember.. You're voting for Hillary not Bill!! Bill is the man of course but Hillary is weak overall.. agree.. pumping the heads up of many.. The health care issue should have been solved during Bill's election, but wasn't; Now you're saying you can deliver? Yeah right...
Obama for change!!!
@RIDEORDIE
If you do your research you would find out since Hillary’s college days she’s been helping blacks. She organized a two-day student strike and worked with black students for moderate changes, such as the hiring of more black faculty and recruitment for more black students. When Clinton was governor of Arkansas, Hillary had successfully obtained federal funds to expand medical facilities in Arkansas' poorest areas without affecting doctors' fees. She was able to have a court house name after Thurgood Marshall (A Black Man). There’s more shall I go on?
@ h-townlovinit
THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE. I see that you copied and paste info from wikipedia.
Yeah, I've already read over that, but at any rate let me see if I understand BLACK'S LOYAL SUPPORT FOR HILLARY, B/C "HILLARY HAS DONE A LOT FOR THE BLACK COMMUNITY" over the past 35years she has done the following:
College years: 1. organized a two day strike (at this time, wasn't she the President of the Student Republican Party???) 2. worked to hire more black faculty and recruit more black students
as First Lady of Arkansas: 1. expanded medical facilities in Arkansas' "poorest" (black, white or hispanic???) areas 2. "have a courthouse named after Thurgood Marshall" (was she the senator who introduced the bill; meaning was it her idea???)
Wow, it took her 35years to DO ALL THAT.
HILLARY CLINTON REALLY DOES CARE ABOUT THE PLIGHT OF BLACKS. THANKS FOR THE INFO. Now I understand Bob Johnson, Magic, NY Rep. Rangel, you and other blacks who are soooo supportive of her. MAKES SENSE NOW!
@cat4everrr
Hillary was excellent! Also, the "new Bankruptcy law does not making filing bankruptcy all that difficult. It takes about 30 minutes more work. You can do it yourself or whomever you hire to do it for you *** charge you more. I've done them before and after, no major effect. In general (I know you're aware) Hillary Clinton started her legal career with the CLDF working with Marian Wright Edelman. Unfortuntately,(for the sake of being classified as underprivileged) a great many of the children who benefitted from her work were African-American. But the bottom line is Obama, Edwards or Clinton will be far better than what we presently have.
Michigan has a population of approximately 10 Million, of which approximately 14% or 1.4 million are Black. I used to live in Ann Arbor, Michigan. There were so few Black folks there that on some days I might not see another person of color period! EVEN AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN!!!! Detroit, Flint and Ypsilanti have a really strong African-American contingency, but after that it gets really tricky.
I don’t believe saying that you are going to vote for Obama because he is black is Ignorant. If Obama and Hillary said the exact same thing and I felt they sound like they represent the same issues I would vote for Obama, because he is like myself, BLACK. This may sound stupid to some of you who don’t quite understand why people are saying it, but if you really look at it this nation has been full of white presidents and for about 400 years or so blacks were treated poorly, and now blacks still have no true justice under the laws of this country. So, knowing this which is not event touching the surface why wouldn’t you give your own a chance, the country is already *** up, Obama cant make it worst. Some of you act like the United States is doing well and you have to be extremely cautious on who you choose so they wont mess it up. Be real.
Obama winning president can open the eyes to black children, you know white children see their people running the country and owning majority of companies etc, they have someone to look up to, when most black children see music and sports and think that’s all they are capable of doing and never expand their minds to more important things. They make Jesus white, all the presidents, and more, many black children see that *** ***, so they look up to white people as great people and feel inferior. Lets give them a role model, a black man.
We have always looked up to white people since slavery, today you see black women walking around with blond hair, and changing the tones of their voices to sound like many white women do (which is pretty *** funny because at one point you couldn’t tell the difference especially in the South), instead of speaking in their natural tones which is sexy and sophisticated, and wear our natural hair colors instead of stripping ourselves trying to be like someone else. And this is not totally off the subject.
Now I know some of you want to be accepted by white people and attempt to be “politically correct”, but I can almost guarantee Hillary doesn’t have your best interest in mind as a white woman. Obama being a black man even though he would be representing all people, will in some way I believe cater to some of the needs of blacks because he is black and grew up in the same living conditions as many black people today, and he can relate to both sides. And there is nothing wrong with you voting for him because he is black, Whites have always catered to the needs of their own, Hispanics and every other race except *** (not black people). Hillary cannot understand or feel the pain and experience the injustice that blacks experience in this nation, why would I want her to be president. I want someone myself and my people can relate to.
This is a little off the topic, but I shop at black stores even though most are more expensive than many other stores, because it can eventually increase jobs for black people. And you know if you actually spent at your own peoples stores they can eventually get things whole sale and sell them at the cheaper stores rates. Sometimes you have to spend a little more to help build up your own communities. We are free slaves who still depend on white people, instead up building up our own and doing for ourselves. I truly wish blacks were more like Hispanics when it comes to unity, we are the only race that doesn’t have unity, we try to be everything and be like everyone else instead of accepting our own and being ourselves. Vote for Obama, he is an intelligent BLACK MAN, like some of you.
