: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that the 2008 G-Unit budget came out - and word is that two of its top acts are not getting any funding. A person claiming to be familiar with the new budget told us, "With the cuts, tough choices had to be made. And Lloyd Banks and Mobb Deep projects have to be shelved ... I don't think that they'll be officially 'dropped,' but they won't be getting much label support either."
But other G-Unit artists are safe. The purported insider explained to MediaTakeOut.com, "Young Buck and Tony Yayo are expected to release albums in 2008."
With all that's going on with Prodigy, we understand shelving Mobb Deep, but what's up with Banks????
Look forward to seeing more of this...labels are in survival mode because of diminishing cd sales. The days of bankrolling million dollar albums are gone..because no one can generate millions of dollars in sales anymore. Look for this to be the norm and not the exception.

And for the records yay-yo writes alot of hooks for the them. Banks is his man. Fif is not dropping him. He does not have a following right now. He will be on some re-mixes this year. 50 is busy promoting his new line of condoms. He is a serious business man.

And I agree with your second comment as well, 50 was taking his own money and spoiling them unlike a lot of other labels. Yayo has said in numerous interviews how generous 50 was with his money, buying cars for birthdays......

Mobb Deep same thing, Mobb ain't original G-Unit-ers.. they ain't gonna go *** out for 50. They were on lay-away for a while, 50 came with bags of $ and they signed. Instead of him dropping Lloyd Banks and Mobb Deep, He needs to let go of Tony yayo. HE CANNOT RAP! PERIOD! Who told him to go into the booth should break a switch off a tree and give it to his mama. Lloyd Banks being dropped would really surprise me I think mobb deep have know they would get dropped cause they whole prodigy thing. But keepin yayo around over banks is a bad buisness move but for a while theres been rumors that him and banks wasnt as tight as people think I would only keep Buck,banks,and hot rod cause spider will be lucky if he sell anything.
