: Finally, a campaign ad from Hillary that tells the truth. Photo courtesy of our good frinds over at Scurv Originalz
@HottoDef
Right, we support his azz with BET and turned his azz into a Billionaire, and this how he repays the black community, by degrading the most viable black candidate we've ever had.
My nephew has someone besides these rappers and athletes to look up to (besides his parents)... why can't he just let us have something and disappear.
@mz_head_diva
If a black person devotes their lives to helping blacks, the underprivileged and all races, w/o resorting to negative, dirty trickery; then as a community we should have his back.
If we don't have his back, then what would be the reason? He 10 years of elected office experience, refuses to cowtail to Washington politicians and interest groups, has inspired a nation... he has all the candidates (republicans and democrats) coping his speeches and campaign. They are proving that he is the Leader and that both republicans and democrats will following once he is in office.
THE QUESTION IS NOT WHY SHOULD YOU VOTE FOR A BLACK CANDIDATE, IF YOU ARE BLACK; but THE QUESTION IS HONESTLY WHY NOT?... (when he is equally qualified as a white person and has done more specifically for blacks)
@Double J and Any others who have similar thinking
So Hilary has talked a lot about Black Issues and been in the Black communities helping Black folks on a national level? Give me some examples. Look given how this country is still give Obama a chance. He is has a strategy. Al and Jesse shouldn't even be part of the discussion here. What this election should be about is not only addressing the the problems within the Black community but the American community. You have to think outside the box there is more going on in the country than just Black issues. And if you are trying to appeal to all Americans you have to put focus on everyone not just a select few to get elected. Once he's elected I'm sure issues in the Black community will be address. By the way you don't know much about Obama obviously he has done a lot here on the South Side of Chicago where it is predominately lack. Give the man a chance. I swear no wonder the Black community continues to struggle. There is no unity, support and loyalty. That why Asians and Hispanics continue to surpass us.
Why is he an "Uncle Tom" simply because he's backing the BETTER candidate. I am an African American female who is educated and I'm proud of Obama but in my opinion he's NOT right for the job at this time. He gives great speeches but there's no substance behind it. When your asses can't go to school, get a mortgage, no health care and you gotta pay for Bush's incompetence, Y'all are gonna get real mad at Obama cause you voted for him and he doesn't deliver. At least Billary has the experience to turn things around.
WE NEED TO BOYCOTT BET. NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET.NOW MORE BET. EXCEPT FOR COMIC VIEW AT 1 AM. LOL.
@eastcoastgirl YOU ARE SO RIGHT!! BET HAS GOT TO BE THE BIGGEST MINSTREL SHOW GOING!! NOTHING BUT NEGATIVITY ABOUT OUR PEOPLE.........LOOK AT HELL DATE, COLLEGE HILL, AND ALL THE OTHER "COON" PROGRAMS BEING SHOWN TO OUR YOUTH. AND YOU WONDER WHY THEY ARE THE WAY THEY ARE.......WAY TO GO, BOB. SOME OMEGA MAN YOU TURNED OUT TO BE!!
@ barbinbmore
It's hard to like Hilary after pulling a stunt like using race to divide the vote. If she just campaigned fairly without pulling out the race card I would have had more respect for her. If you vote for her you better hope she brings together people and not divide them in the White House.
Robert Johnson is about Robert Johnson! He sold BET ..now he’s trying to sale you Hillary Clinton.
Check out the number #1 African-American movie of 2007 “What Black Men Think” at Whatblackmenthink.com ; the movie talks about corporate PIMPs’ of the Black Community such as Robert Johnson, Sharpton, Jackson etc.; talk’in loud and saying nothing!
I never understood why every African American feels they need BET to represent them?
its T.V. get a life.
we all know hillary (clintons) have had that network in their pocket, since the mid 90s...
So is it really shocking that Bob Johnson would promo Hillary?
besides, if we do have a black prez... they wont be able to cry out against the establishment AS MUCH... thus boosting their ratings (Sharpton included)

I listen to black people say they support Hillary because she is more experienced. I want to know when are we going to stop believing what white people say just because they say it. Hillary is not the one with the experience, Bill is. Hillary has less experience than Obama. What can Hillary say that SHE did to help in the black community? Oh Robert Novak wrote an article documenting what she did as a Goldwater Girl, as a young supporter of Barry Goldwater. The same Goldwater that was against what LBJ did. The same segregationist Goldwater. Look it up. If she wins the nomination I guarantee the republicans won't let this little fact get by us.
BOB JOHNSON HAS LOST A LOT OF PEOPLE RESPECT. IT IS ONE THING TO BE RICH, BUT IT IS ANOTHER TO BE THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE WHITE MAN'S CAMPAIGN. THAT IS WHY THE WHITE MAN HAS NO RESPECT FOR BLACKS, BECAUSE WE HAVE NO RESPECT FOR OUR SELVES. BOB JOHNSON HAS BETRAYED THE BLACK RACE, HE ACQUIRED A BLACK TELEVISION STATION, SET THE BLACK RACE BACK A 1000 YEARS WITH HIS DEGRADING PROGRAMMING, AND THEN HE PULLED OUT AFTER HE EXPLOITED BLACKS AND GOT RICH. NOW HE IS CONTINUING TO SLAP US IN THE FACE. THIS MAN APPEARS TO BE A "SCUMBAG, SPINELESS, NOTHING, THAT WILL SELL HIS SOUL FOR A DOLLAR"
I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THIS "MAN"....BLACK PEOPLE THESE ARE THE TYPE OF PEOPLE WE NEED TO PUT OUT OF OUR LIVES FOREVER.
@ LucyLulu
I am very supportive of the Black Community; however, you have to earn my vote and just being Black is not enough. Once he starts talking about the issues and I agree with his opinions--he will have my vote, but not until then.
As for the Clinton's I stated I was not a fan.
Furthermore, I disagree that Al and Jessie shouldn't be part of the discussion because without them testing the waters Obama would not be where he is today. He is popular to Whites because they compare and contrast him to Jessie and Al.
@DoubleJ
I don't normally post on MTO but I feel compelled to do so tonight. You stated "what has OBAMA done for Black folks on the national level". I'm not sure if I will be able to give you an answer that you will find satisfactory b/c as an Illinois senator "national" is just not something he can do until he becomes president. As an Illinois senator he has reformed ethics and healthcare laws, sponsored a law enhancing tax credits for low-income workers, negotiated welfare reform, and promoted increased subsidies for child care. As Director of the Developing Communities Project, he worked with low-income residents in Chicago's Roseland community and the Altgeld Gardens public housing development. He fought for and had a law passed to monitor racial profiling by requiring police to record the race of drivers they stopped. Al this after serving as a community organizer and civil rights lawyer. It's not enough to listen to a buch of speeches. Do your research and you will see that Obama has walked the walk.
We are entitled to our opinions and can vote for we please, but I hope that we're at least making educated choices. For all the people supporting one candidate over the other, have you actually researched their voting records in their respective chambers of congress? If so, you'll see that their stances on issues are damn near the same. It's like we're splitting hairs over trivial stuff. Look at what's in black and white and base your decision on that, not because Obama looks corny or because of Bill's legacy. (Because Bill ran this country, not Hillary. Other than her work in the House of Representatives, what proof do we have that she's a more experienced leader?) And has it occurred to the Obama detractors that he's not speaking on Black issues because he concerned with improving the quality of living for ALL Americans, and not just one group? Yeah, Jesse and Al were all about Black issues, because it was the only thing that could speak on with authority. Throw them into international and monetary affairs and they'd get eaten alive. Because this whole thing is bigger than black and white. Everyone is entitled to vote for which ever candidate they please, but please make an informed judgment call. Stop letting the media and campaign sponsored advertising spoon feed you what you should think.
(Oh and if Hillary was smart, she would have told Bob Johnson thanks but no thanks on that endorsement. The fact that he's siding with her makes me want to vote for any other candidate.)
@ G23_A_M_G
1. Little boy you got me confused with some of the other peeps on this site. I am not the one to Fu#k with.
2. If your stupid ass knew how to read--you could read my previous posts in which I criticized Bob Johnson.
3. If you think I am ignorant because I want to know a little more about Obama before I vote for him then you are a stupid as bitch.
4. Trust me you don't want to go head to head with me.
5. That Fagg00t comment does not bother me because you look more like a little bitch than I do.
6. I am a kewl person, but if you fuc& with me you are gonna get [EXPLETIVE]@# up.
People please be aware and continue to do your research and be very alert to so called leaders that can be bought and sold. just wait they will all be exposed sooner or later. Don Johnson, although never a leader in my book, is one of them who is being pimped by the Clinton's slick divide and conquer campaign strategy.
I finally have something to comment on in here... Why do "we" criticize our people so much, but give a huge benefit of the doubt to other people? Everyone has asked what has Barack done for black people? Well my question is what had "Hillary" done for black people? Other than make you think she has does something?
I do not expect any special favors from Barack because of the color of my skin or his, all that we deserve is a fair chance. Hillary does not have more experience than Barack but if she continues to say it maybe she can convince YOU. Her husband has the experience. But if she did not KNOW about Monica L. what makes you think she KNOWS everything else he knows or did? Think for yourself and vote that way, but don't believe it because they say it.
