: We never thought this was possible, but MediaTakeOut.com is hearing whispers that Kelly Rowland is taking some subtle jabs at longtime friend Beyonce Knowles. As many of you know, Kelly typically goes out of her way to compliment her childhood friend and former Destiny's child bandmate.
But recently, that seems to be changing. First, in a quote given to a British Magazine, Kelly said the following about Beyonce and Michelle:
Beyonce and Michelle were both slobs! They would come on to the tour bus and take their shoes off, and I was the one who would say, ‘Put your shoes in the corner!’. And while that comment wasn't so bad, check out what she said about her Destiny's Child songs - that were written by Beyonce by the way:
It annoys me so much now, some of the stuff in the song [Bugaboo] makes me feel like I'm 17 years old, especially the line, 'So what? You bought a pair of shoes' - it's such a bad line to have to sing in concert. You bought a pair of shoes?' What terrible lyrics. I don't believe a word of the context of this story. It seems that what Kelly is saying is that they used immature lyrics years ago but now look back and they realize how silly some of the lyrics were. Also, she was just commenting on Michelle and Beyonce putting their shoes in the say. There are slobs when you have roommates. However, that doesn't mean she's demeaning them. Sounds like she was the one who kept the group orderly.

The first one was probably in a response to living on the road constantly and how she was the neat freak in the group. No malice there.
And their earlier work was some *** pop garbage, we all know that. All she's saying is that she cringes at the thought that those songs will be her musical legacy. I mean really, what serious singer wants to be remembered for songs like "Bootylicious" or "Bills, Bills, Bills"? Destiny Child's is what made her famous, but most artist want to break away from their boy/girl band roots. It works for some (Justin/Beyonce) but its harder for the background singers to get a leg up in the industry after the main stair leaves the group.
Kelly is not hating on anyone but she has the right to be mad at B and her father. Life is about opportunity and taking advantage of it. Kelly was loyal when no one else were about the destiny's child; she stayed, defend, and waited for her turn at the lime lite. Everyone knew that B was going to be the star but at one time it all changed when Kelly did that song with Nelly. For once her star shined brighter than B's but kelly's management didn't do anything to make her career grow as well. She has every right to be mad and a filling of betrayal by one's she trusted. Not one time has there been a post about another female artist and somebody not bring Beyonce name up. Most of the time it's a stan of another female artist especially the Rihanna stans. LOL I think they all know who their favorite artist has to beat and that's Beyonce so I'm no longer surprised when Beyonce's name gets mentioned on EVERY female artist post.
I was reading a Janet post on ConcreteL one time and half the comments were about Beyonce. Same thang on the Ashanti post over half the comments were about Beyonce. Same thing with Ciara, Rihanna, and others posts they all end up being about Beyonce. LOL And the funny thing is haters are always complaining that Beyonce should take a break, and when she does they STILL bring her name up on every post. Look at MTO for example. I love Beyonce but you couldn't pay me all the money in the world to be her. People expect way too much from her. First, Beyonce herself has made comments about these songs. She's been on Oprah saying that she wasn't feeling the world "Bootylicious" anymore. So this is nothing new. I'm sure they all tired of the songs because they had to go around the world and sing them and almost 10 years later they are still singing them.
Secondly, just because someone doesnt like Beyonce doesnt make them a hater, she is not the queen to everyone.
If you ask me, its about time Kelly opened up her mouth and started being an individual and keeping it real. That "I love Beyonce so much, she is my world" routine was getting old. Even the best of friends get on each others nerves.
Beyonce admitted that she was embarassed for writing Bootylicious. I saw it on a program about a year or two ago. I was just thinking about that a couple of months ago. I was thinking why did I ever like those stupid songs? Bootylicious, Say My Name, Bugaboo....those songs were very silly. But yeah i was younger and didnt know what a good song was. But Beyonce hasnt exactly grown out of that stupid song phase. Get Me Bodied and Freakum Dress are even worse. But yeah that is so OLD MTO. She said that a long time ago.
I know this is a lie because when Bey said that she hates the songs they recorded before Destiny's Fulfilled, Kelly said those songs such as Bug-a-boo and Jumpin Jumpin were her favorites. I will have to agree with Kelly on that. The best song to me since then was Soldier. The real hits were before they made that album.
