Bill insulted Obama over and over. He tried to be as paternalistic as he could be and intelligent people saw it for what it was. He is a politician and he knows that every single word he says is disected and analyzed.
He was hoping for a black back-lash. He was hoping that people would see Obama as someone who could only attract black voters and white people would flock to Hillary. What he got instead was white democrats coming over to Obama. White people that have supported the clintons for years are on Obama's side. Even right-wing newspapers are endorsing Obama.
We are all human, but in my opinion, Hillary Clinton's emotional displays in the media should bring up a red flag. We all cry but that is not a good sign of a strong leader. What will happen when she's under extreme pressure? Women are just, very emotional by nature and often times, it interferes with our judgment. Some of us make irrational decisions based off of our emotions. Don't get it twisted though, I am elated to see that there is a female candidate for the presidency in this day and age.
Anyway, my choice has always been Obama, even before he announced his bid for presidency. Everything about him is real. It's about time for a change in the White House.
Sorry, I needed to vent - I am so sick and tired of all this ***. The world in its current state is already going to hell in a hand basket. You would think that people, by now, would have advanced in the way technology has, but no such luck. Humans are still as narrowed minded now as they were way back when, just in a slightly different way. People are compassionate and sympathetic towards a woman who did no more in the White House than the housekeepers. She lived there. Just like all the other 1st ladies, she lived there. If this is called experience, why not vote for Laura Bush or Rosalyn Carter or why not go all the way and vote for Bush's Mom. Bottom line, the intervention this world needs to sustain comes from the force from which we were created. And as long as man rules and makes the decisions concerning the people, this world we've come to know and love will only get worse. I vote for CHANGE and Hilary is not change. She cried on National TV because people weren't really feeling her and they liked Obama better, but she didn't cry when her husband had a stowaway under his desk. Please! If she's emotional about what people say, how will she react when the situation concerns the safety of the people, all people and not just Hilary? I am a woman and we are by nature emotional creatures that tend to react on emotion and she's menopausal or close to it, hell we might as well elect a child with ADD for President. Stop it, for real! Hilary is not Bill and if you recall they wanted to impeach him, so what does that tell you. CHANGE is Good and I support it, 100%. If your Game (so to speak) is tight, you stand a better chance of winning. For example, if a kid wants some candy and you're like no, that kid will say and do anything to try and change your mind. Cry, beg, smile, dance, whatever. And if you're a little weak or sympathetic, you give in. I'm somewhat guilty of it myself. However, if you're going to come to me, you have to come correct. You have to make me feel like it's about me, us, we, the people, not just about,"YOU or I." Hilary comes across like she deserves to be President, like it's her "Birth Right,” like we owe it to her and personally, it doesn't sit well with me. I feel like it's about her and what she wants and not at all about what the people want or need. Her campaign, again in my opinion, is selfish and I can't get with that. I need warmth in words and sincerity in your heart, again make me feel like you really care about the current state of society. A society that allows people to die because they can't afford health insurance, a society that Leaves Children Behind, a society that can publicly dictate what they think is acceptable, while doing there dirt, behind closed doors. Give PEOPLE a chance. Make me feel like I can sleep with my door unlocked and like my children are safe to play outside or are able to go to college and not owe more in loans than they make in a year. Jesse Jackson Jr. is a strong supporter of Barack Obama, working on his campaign and other local Democratic campaigns. He has been helping his wife's campaign most recently. She is my new Alderwoman trying to bring economic growth to our community and bidding for some of our abandoned industrial land to be developed and used for the 2016 Olympics thus bringing in more viable businesses to the smaller community.
His focal point has been local community development and empowerment and there's no doubt that he will run someday and make an excellent candidate just like Barack.

Sounds like opinion, not fact. I disagree, he has plenty of applicable experience. More than a decade in the IL state legislature, working on a bi-partisan level to create real change for average citizens. He also has two years in the US Senate also working across the aisle to make things happen. As far as connections and clout not sure if you've seen the magnitude of people who have endorsed this man, but major union leaders, respected politicians like Ted Kennedy and major figures in the business community have pledged support to Obama. That's an excellent network to get things done going forward. What does Hillary have? She seems to be counting on her 8 years as First Lady, but sorry, that's not an elected office.

I felt like that at first too...seriously I was on the same page as you but when I heard him spoke he did give a detailed synopsis on what was going to be done and how it was going to be done. TO ***: I watched the debates and though I am very fond of both candidates, it was clear to me that Obama not only said what he wanted to do, he SPELLED IT OUT about HOW he was going to do it. Hillary lacked a little on that count.
Her mandatory universal health care plan sounds great, but it still needs to be funded by SOMEBODY. Who is going to pay for it? Obama brought these issues to her attention and she gave a meager response about "subsidies".

That being said, I stand by my OPINION [:-)] that O doesn't have the connections and clout necessary (YET) to successfully prosecute a 4 year term as President - especially given the mess he'd inherit from the corrupt and criminal Bush administration. Endorsements are great but I'm talking about cementing REAL alliances with the REAL "powers that be" that control the way things REALLY get done; not celebrities and big names and whatnot but the names you DON'T hear because they're in the background, pulling all the strings. Am I enthused by the hope and promise that O embodies? Absolutely. I'd just prefer to see him take the helm when he's IDEALLY positioned to do so - and I think that that time is yet to come. I'm a tactician and therefore I consider all possibilities, ramifications, and contingencies. I want Obama to succeed; I just believe that one has to time one's moves strategically and that given another 4-8 years, he'll be even better situated to effect the type of change that we all so desperately need. The Republican machine is going to wreak absolute havoc on whoever the Democratic nominee/electee is and I don't want to see our best hope fall victim to their evil machinations; another few years to let O hone his political chops to a razor's edge will do us all that much more good in the long run. I'm just more of a strategic thinker and a realist and that's why I said in my first post that I'm gonna go with Hil THIS TIME AROUND.

Obama doesnt have the political clout or know how yet. He's only been in the Senate for 3 years. Although I hate politicians, you do need to be able to sway the congress to what you need to get done. Healthcare reform is so important for everyone in America, and its something Hillary is very passionate about.
I would love them to run together, and in 8 years he could run and would have more experience and connections on the inside to get the job done.
Also, the rest of the world loves "Billary" and that will be an asset in getting back the trust and alliances we will need to get out of Iraq and onto to more important pressing matters throughout the world.
I feel that both have good points. I have not decided as of yet.
I know some people who will vote for Obama because he is black. I am not going on skin color.my decision will be made based on what each have to say and who I feel will help me.

I have heard that many times, and I must tell you that I really believe its because shes a strong woman.

Hillary was actually working on passing a bill on healthcare reform. worked for years at it. the only reason it didnt go any farther was the congress was majority republican and refused to pass it. 2 -Mary Mahoney - A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown . The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.
3- Vince Foster - Former White House counselor and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock 's Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.
4- Ron Brown - Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown's skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air Traffic controller committed suicide.
5- C. Victor Raiser II- Raiser, a major player in the Clinton fund raising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992.
6-Paul Tulley - Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock , September 1992. Described by Clinton as a 'dear friend and trusted advisor'.
7-Ed Willey - Clinton fund raiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events.
8-Jerry Parks -Head of Clinton's gubernatorial security team in Little Rock . Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock . Park's son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton . He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.
9-James Bunch - Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a 'Black Book' of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas .
10-James Wilson - Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater.
11-Kathy Ferguson- Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Fergus on, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit. Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.
12-Bill *** - Arkansas State Trooper and fiance of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiance, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his fiance.
13-Gandy Baugh - Attorney for Clinton 's friend Dan Lassater, died by jumping out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor.
14-Florence Martin - Accountant & subcontractor for the CIA, was related to the Barry Seal Mean Airport dru g smuggling case. He died of three gunshot wounds.
15- Suzanne Coleman - Reportedly had an affair with Clinton when he was Arkansas Attorney General. Died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head, ruled a suicide. Was pregnant at the time of her death.
16-Paula Grober - Clinton 's speech interpreter for the deaf from 1978 until her death December 9, 1992. She died in a one car accident.
17-Danny Casolaro - Investigative reporter. Investigating Mean Airport and Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He slit his wrists, apparently, in the middle of his investigation.
18- Paul Wilcher - Attorney investigating corruption at Mena Airport with Casolaro and the 1980 'October Surprise' was found dead on a toilet June 22, 1993 in his Washington , DC apartment. Had delivered a report to Janet Reno 3 weeks before his death.
19-Jon Parnell Walker - Whitewater investigator for Resolution Trust Corp. Jumped to his death from his Arlington , Virginia apartment balcony August 15, 1993. He was investigating the Morgan Guaranty scandal.
20-Barbara Wise - Commerce Department staffer. Worked closely with Ron Brown and John Huang. Cause of death unknown. Died November 29, 1996. Her bruised, nude body was found locked in her office at the Department of Commerce.
21-Charles Meissner -Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special security clearance, died *** thereafter in a small plane crash.

27-Kevin Ives & Don Henry - Known as 'The boys on the track' case. Reports say the boys may have stumbled upon the Mena Arkansas airport drug operation. Its sads how we won't even back our own people up. I would think that the black community would be happy that we actually have a serious black candidate running, but I guess not. It's sad that it's more whites and other minorities supporting Barack than his own people. I have nothing against Hiliary other than the fact she can't back up what she says but to vote for her just because she's bill clinton's wife (which alot of ppl are doing) or because (truth be told) she's white is so wrong. A lot of blacks aren't gonna vote for Obama because he's black. We are our own worst enemy at times. We never want someone to be successful. It's like we're jealous. I hear so many blacks talking bad about Obama but know NOTHING about politics. If he was white I bet more blacks would be down with him. Someone even said he wasn't "black enough". Colorism at it's finest. We need to stop that. African Americans only make up 12% of the United States. Half of that 12 percent don't vote because they're either too lazy to vote or because they legally can't. I'm not saying vote for the guy because he's black, I'm saying do not NOT vote for him because he's black. He actually has a very good campaign foundation.
Hillary doesn't stand a chance against McCain. She cried, showing weakness, and that was an open invite to the rest of the world. Especially those country who treat their women as second class citizens. I don't like the idea of mandating health care, regardles if you want it or can't afford it. I do like the fact of modenizing health care though, (electronic records ect.)
I like Obama's ideas, and his firm stance on the war. And him being black (if you ain't 100% white, YOU BLACK) does help him get my vote. For once we need to support our own. For all those who say we *** vote for him simply because he is black, I agree.

He has experience going against the grain and fighting againist injustice! Hillary needs to be more professional and be able to withstand criticsim. Of course he did. So did countless others. You think he and Malcolm-X were the only politically motivated casualties of the civil rights movement? The only difference between them and the others is their murders were carried out by the highest lvls of government instead of a lynch or trigger mob.
MLK is the safe zone for people that don't really know or want to know the gruesome details of the Civil Rights Movement. Which is why they won't discuss Malcolm-X in general ed studies...he was too radical and controversial...but King toward the end of his life was only really beginning to radicalize...then he spoke out on Vietnam and it was lights out.
