I didn't get the Morris Day / Rihanna performance. What was the connection? When I think of Morris Day, I think of the Tom Joyner Sky Show or the Soul Train Music Awards. I thought his performance was very random for the Grammys.
I love Alicia, and maybe it's just ME, but I never actually hear a piano playing whenever she performs on one.
loved rihanna's outfit. she sang LIVE but i hated the remix to umbrella and dont stop the music. she should have performed by herself with the right pace and beat. cause mixin up modern day music with 80s funk music aint right. other than that, rihanna sang LIVE and sounded the SAME on her record.

Seriously, please, God, let someone stage an intervention for Aretha. Not trying to crack on the Queen, but she has gone from “big” to “morbidly obese". Her voice doesn’t even sound as strong as it used to be. In all seriousness, she looks incredibly unhealthy and is a heart attack waiting to happen. And a living legend deserves better that that.
Alicia is at the top of the game right now...period. Of all the artists out right now, I think she will have the greatest longevity. She has the perfect mix of talent, class and beauty. I see her getting that lifetime achievement Grammy one day.
I would like to clear up the Beyonce and Tina performance. I think because Tina did Two performances before Beyonce came out she was tiried. Tina Turner at the end followed too close to Beyonce while the dance was on causes her feet to almost get stepped on. Tina was tired by the time of her third performance with Beyonce. Sometimes when you honor someone it must be properly planned. Beyonce had all that energy and Tina was ready to slow it down. Also the way the camera men filmed it didn't give it any glory. Amy Wine House won because the voter board didn't want to cause Hate between the only two competitor's left. Beyonce and Rihanna they had to give it to Amy because thats how they(Judges) think. Look at Janet Jackson how they are doing her...When all these other half naked women show off body parts..Give me a break. We live in a very discriminating world and color does play a part..Ignorance, jealousy, envy, and who every has the power.

First of all, her music was awful. As for the voice? Rihanna has a range of about 3 notes, and the songs she did out there just PROVED how awful her voice was even WITH lip sync. Also, she was dressed like a swan who had just finished rolling in her own ***, and she danced like one too
How this b*tch managed to stay relevant for so long is beyond me. The Grammy was more for Jay-Z than it was for her, seeing as he wrote it, and it was a Rap/Sung Collaboration award!!

She doesn't 'give great performances' - she has great choreographers, dancers, stage producers, set and costume designers etc. They are the ones who create the great performance
all she does is just show up to the rehersal and waddle her pretty ***. the only she seems to do is position herself amongst the dancers and execute one or two SIMPLE moves.
is it not established that the only thing she adds is her gorgeous face? she doesn't even move properly!
her voice is abysmal which is why they pick songs for her with a range of 4 notes max!!! so add great record producer and song writers to the list of things she has that makes her great.

I love alicia! the opening act was classic. I didnt feel it too much cause its not in my likes of genre, but it still sounded nice! Everyone was absolutely fab! I loved beyonce with tina and rhianna with morris day! It reminded me too much of when bee performed with prince though... Oh Prince was clean too mayne.

They were all great w/ special props to Beyonce', Rhiyanna (what a Princess) and T. Turner. Actually, I think Alicia looks nice now that's she's put on a little weight. She looks nice "filled out" so to speak. Aretha still rocks; no doubt; she IS the QOS!!
