: LOS ANGELES (AP) - The rapper known as "The Game" was jailed for two months by a Los Angeles judge on Monday after pleading no contest to a felony weapons charge arising from an incident last year.
The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, was charged with possession of a firearm in a school zone after allegedly threatening to shoot an opponent during a basketball game last February.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Fred Wapner sentenced Taylor to 60 days in jail, giving him credit for two days he has already served behind bars.
Taylor also was ordered to perform 150 hours of community service and spend three years on probation.
Taylor shot to stardom following the release of his debut album "The Documentary" in 2005, which earned him two Grammy nominations.
