According to SEVERAL of my close Def Jam sources all hell is breaking loose on Ludacris DTP imprint. Apparently when the label brought all their R&B artists to perform for LA Reid, along with a bunch of industry heads in NYC earlier this week, the feedback was less then thrilling. The performances were SOHH lackluster that a source told me that LA told Luda that he can take his acts and “hit the road”.For the full story, click hereAs of right now Bobby Valentino, Shareefa, and the extremely talented Stephan Jones, AKA Mr. Ordinary has all been dropped. Sources close to Bobby claim that the artist plans on dropping his next untitled CD on iTunes. No word yet on where Shareefa, and Steph Jones will end up.
Word on the streetz is that DTP heads are planning on severing ties with Def Jam over all the drama.

That's insane...Steph Jones is an insantely talented artist and performer... Anyone can see that he would have a successful album...he has already created an amazing following on his own...just look at this myspace...myspace.com/stephjones2
Def Jam was the last label i had faith in the music industry...guess thats gone...its all up to independents now...saaaaaaaaaaddddddddd ddd

well the only reall sell on DTP is luda!! paly circle and shizzle!! the only reason they sold that many rocords because of lil wayne.. he made dat track!! bobby v .. he needs a new label ... sarefa(what ever) i think she sold 50,000 units she went wood! and my boys from albany GA!!! shawn jay and smoke!! they were pretty tight but smoke locked up so .. i guess thats it!!!
LUDA IS DTP AND DEF JAM IS NOT LETTING THAT GO. SOME OF HIS ARTISTS MAY GET THE BOOT BUT HE IS A MONEY MAKER, THEY WOULD BE STUPID TO LET THAT GO. THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER SIGNED BOBBYV HE IS SO WACK, SLOW DOWN WAS HIS BEST SONG TO DATE. NOW SHAREEFA'S ALBUM WAS FIRE, SHE STRAIGHT HOOD AND I COULD DEFINITELY RELATE TO HER MUSIC. I LIKED HER ALBUM BETTER THAN KEYSHIA COLE'S BECAUSE IT WASNT ALL ABOUT HOW A MAN DONE HER WRONG, SHE COVERED ALL ANGLES OF LIFE ON THAT ALBUM. SHE FLOPPED BECAUSE THEY DID NOT PROMOTE HER ENOUGH OR THE RIGHT WAY AND SHE DROPPED AT THE WRONG TIME. THE SAD PART IS SHE IS NOT VERY ATTRACTIVE AND WITH BEYONCE, CIARA & RIHANNA DANCIN AROUND HERE HALF NAKED, SHE DONT STAND A CHANCE, LOOKS ARE EVERYTHING THESE DAYS!
