: MediaTakeOut.com just caught wind of a stunning interview that Lil Wayne gave to MTV. In it, he was asked whether he would give us drinking syrup (a prescription strength cough syrup made from promethazine and codeine) since the discovery of Pimp C's death.
Here is the startling response Lil Wayne gave:

The way the you Northerners hate on Southern Music is bigger than Hip Hop. This goes all the way back to the time when our ancestors were slaves. The ones who ran North, looked down on the South ever since. NY rappers talk politics and other issues is b/c subconsciously they know they ran from the struggle. So know they are trying to make up for time missed. We in the South know what the struggle is so we make music that lets us escape that and have fun. If any New Yorker comes to a club in the South they will understand then b/c clubs in NY do not compare to ours.
