: It appears that Kanye West isn't as popular as he thought. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that he and Alexis were refused entry into the Balenciaga show at Paris Fashion Week.
And Kanye was pretty apologetic about not being admitted. Here was Kanye's official response to not getting into the show:
I understand it. I get a lot of attention and, you know, sometimes the designers don't want anything taking the focus off the show.And 'Ye continued coppin' pleas like a BEE-YOTCH on his blog. Here was Kanye's follow up response:
I just love the clothes! Lex and I are not there 2 take pictures... I don't have an album about 2 drop... my tour is sold out... I love fashion and this is one of the funniest things we can make time for! I totally love and respect any designer that won't let me come 2 there show... it's their show... they don't owe me anything...Dang 'Ye ... Have some self respect!! My man just threw you out of his show and here you go talking about how much you love his stuff.Balenciaga is one of the illest lines right now and I don't feel any type of way about not getting in! There's always a catch 22 in being a celeb ... your motives are always questioned... but only time will show my true love MY FIRST LOVE is for fashion and I appreciate just being in a position 2 afford 2 be able 2 spend a week in Paris visiting shows.
I understand that some designers don't want all that unnecessary commotion at there shows, that's what I mean by "I get a lot of attention"

He is not stupid...he know if he wants to keep his *** rocking the latest Balenciaga..he will keep his mouth ***...he is not stupid..once your name gets around that you are an *** about designer clothing and can't in their shows...you ain't getting jack from them. Its a two way street sometimes....but Kanye can afford Balenciaga and most definitely Balenciaga don't need kanye so its a win-win siuation. I mean what is he going to do..
I need for MTO not to be offended by Kanye for actually showing some class and understanding that him not getting into the show was not personal. Now you guys know good and well Kanye is not afraid to throw a fit when he feels slighted. So why not give him props for stepping up and for once not making a scene.

His arrogence is so over the top, for him to assume that the designer doesn't want him there because he's just this huge star drawing all of this attention, I'm sure half the people at the show could give a fu** about Kanye being there....Maybe Balenciaga didn't want him there because he doesn't like Kanye, or he's not a fan of rap music...But I guess that's Kanye's own power tripping way of dealing with rejection...Face it Kanye you're not hot every where you go.

kanye thinks a bit too highly of himself. none of those parisienne fashionistas would even give his tacky a$$ a second glance. Balenciaga probably just tries to maintain a certain level of class and refinement at his events. thus kanye and his venetian-blind shades and alexis and her neon plastic beads were not on the guestlist.

Kanye basically said he got rejected because of his star power and appeal. People, fashion houses like BALENCIAGA welcome such star power and appeal. It makes their clothes more marketable. If Alicia, Mariah, Beyonce, Madonna had been there they would have kicked someone out of their seats to accomodate them. It was not so long ago when the fashion director of a major store was kicked out of his seat to accomodate beyonce's entourage. Kanye's international sales is nothing to brag about. He doesn't move units like the people mentioned in Europe. So most probably he was rejected not because of his star power but his lack thereof

Put yourselves in the fashion designers point of view. Although I'm sure the designer is flattered that Kanye wanted to be there, him being there takes the spotlight off his line. That *** not embarrassing at all...sounds like designer Balenciago thinks their *** all that. I betcha anything they would not have pulled that *** with a white celebrity. I like Kayne a lot. The only problem with this situation is that right now he is promoting this mans clothing line RIGHT NOW! By him just saying that "Balenciaga" is the illest clothing line out, then people are going to google search the *** outta this clothing line and check for it in the malls.
