: Earlier in the week, MediaTakeOut.com told you that The CW network was leaning towards canceling the hit series The Game. Well your calls and emails are working, because now we're hearing that The CW may be changing its minds.
So don't let up on all the calls and emails, cause according to our inside source - it seems to be working. Here are the numbers again:
President Of Entertainment (CW) Dawn Ostroff 818-977-2525Director Of Current Programming (CW) Traci Blackwell 818-977-2537
President of CBS Paramount Network TV Nancy Tellem 323-575-2380 nancy.tellem@tvc.cbs.com
I heard CW layed off it's entire Comedy Division because of money problems, so if they got to chose bewteen shows, I bet they keep "Everybody Hates Chris" & that Alien show, but They ain't gonna save "The Game", no matter how many letters & E-mails are sent. But without WWE Smackdown, the CW Network is over anyway.
------------------ I Was 4 Real
It is about 5:30 a.m, here in LA and the CW leaked this information out to have you stop having people call and complain. When Girlfriends was cancelled an executive had to work from home due to the extensive calls and emails. However, this does not change the fact that the show will be cancelled. It will be cancelled because of production cost, poor ratings, and advertising dollars. As I mentioned a couple of days ago, black shows are not cancelled due to race. They are cancelled due to ratings and advertising fees. The CW pays each major character anywhere from $20K to $35K per episode. Writers make roughly $15K per month. Plus set designers, and costly wardobe, most of the clothes are from Saks and Nieman. Black shows are cancelled because black audiences do not have rating boxes. the majority of ratings come from white audiences and if white audiences, with rating boxes do not watch black shows, they are cancelled. High ratings allow networks to charge big dollars to corporations for advertising during a show. Think about all the hoop-la over superbowl ads. It the same way for tv shows. The Game, is going, going...... I love my people, but my people sometime lack the knowledge needed to achieve results. Put it like this, to all you church folk. II Chronciles, God says "My people PERISH for lack of knowledge." That is what is happening to the black community.
the game is not and never was in danger of being cut....this site can be whack sometimes....when the strike was over, CW already put out the new timeline for new episodes of the game. it has been moved to sunday *** so it doesnt have to compete with VH1's I love new york ish and such...stop reporting ***!!! oh and p.s. up your spelling game....half of your captions are always spelled wrong!!!!
All these MF's calling in to save some *** show but won't mobilize to save their communities from gentrification, Police Abuse against our young brothers or a cause affecting them either directly or indirectly.Black People you need to get your priorities straightened out. Let your voice and actions count where they mean the most.Real Talk.
Don't do us any favors, CW...go on and cancel it and Girlfriends right along with it....Why is it I run for the bug spray evertime I see Diana Ross' daughter? She just looks like a giant INSECT or something...a big, praying mantis on steroids or a locust or something creepy and scary! There is nothing attractive about that child! Not a damned thing! I bet the ORKIN man is banned from her crib because when he comes in, he start to spraying her @ss RIGHT AWAY!!!
While it is true that the game whill be showing new episodes this Spring (March 23, 2008) these episodes are a continuation from this season. These are just episodes that were put on hold because of the writer's strike. THIS ISN'T A NEW SEASON. Therefore, it is important to keep making the calls; contrary to what others have said, they do help.
