: According to one of MediaTakeOut.com's faithful actor Wesley Jonathan sent out this shockingly sad and bizarre message to all his MySpace friends:
Date: Mar 1, 2008 1:36 PM Subject: VIOLATED AND HELPLESS!!!!!! Body: I wouldn't normally do this or even ask anyone for help on something like this, but right now I'm at a lost.Dang ... and they say we ain't in a recession....As some may of you may know, my girlfriend does makeup and hair as a side craft to her acting. Its a hobby and great passion of hers and she's just as great at doing it. And as some may know (which as a man I don't but just found out and realized) Makeup is expensive and takes years to collect.
Last night, Denyce's car was broken into (vandalized) and 10 years of collecting, working and $15,000 worth of hair and makeup products (2 HUGE suitcases full) were stolen out of her car right out of her garage.
This isn't even about money. I can easily give her the money to go buy everything back or even go get it myself. But being a man and clueless to what shit is, I don't know where to start. From colors, to quality, to brands, to tools... all that sh*t is female sh*t. even hearing her cry and say she doesn't even know where to start, i feel helpless.
But I know that all that stuff meant the world to her and I want to help her. It will take forever for her to recoup all that was taken but a little bit here and there will help.
I came up with an idea that maybe some of you guys who are sympathetic, understanding and generous might be able to help me with! In return I'm willing to sign any autographs, leave voice comments lol, send a personalized gift, call anyone to wish a happy birthday or appearance or something equal to your help.
I was thinking for any one (male or female) who either is or knows makeup people. For anyone who even may have something in their own stash, If you're willing to donate products to help me give back to her what she lost. I can't replace the meaning behind the years of her collecting and I can't replace the sentiments but I want to try and do something for someone who does makeup to make others feel good about themselves and feel beautiful.
If you have a blush thing, a lipstick or gloss or a powder whatever you have extra, don't need or want, I'm asking if you wouldn't mind throwing it in the mail. I would be very greatful and I know it would mean the world to her. If you know folks who own makeup companies or something that wouldn't mind sending her a starter package if there is a such thing. I dont know how this shit works. All I know is, she has NOTHING! Not a brush, a mascara or anything anymore.
I'm not expecting a miracle, but I thought I could see how powerful this Myspace world really is and reach out to a few folks who knows what this violation is like.

Where shall I begin? First, I want to say that I am very sorry that this unfortunate incident happened to her. Secondly, I know plenty of make-up ppl, but I am curious as to why she's been collecting make-up and using the same product for over 10 years. That is not hygenic, YUCK!
Third, if in fact he CAN replace most of what she lost, then just do it. And why doesn't she just sit down, get her thoughts together and make a list first, of all the essential tools she needs first, then list products by catagory: eye products, lip, blush, etc.
All the make-up should be brand-new and never used. I don't think it's a good idea to even use donated make-up from strangers, people have GERMS! Tyra did a whole show about it.
At the very least if Jonathan can't replace the make-up items, I suggest they start some kind of registry so ppl that decide to donate for maybe gift cards, or actual items can see exactly where the money is going.
Again sister, I am very sorry this happened. It's a part of life, and I lived in L.A., so I know how it feels to be violated like that, it happened to me, several times.
I would like to help, but I'm the kind of person that will DEFINATELY want to know that my money is going where it says it's going. I am a fan of Jonathan's, always liked him since his role in Panther, his sitcom City Guys and the role in Roll Bounce.

If it's true (MTO could've stole his password, logged in, and sent this message out) I think it's sweet. Even if he didn't have the money as he claimed at least he is trying to help his girl. Do you know how much courage it took him to write this? Have you ever heard of a man's pride?
If he does have the money, it means more that he is trying to understand exactly what she needs by asking for help from makeup experts than just saying here goes the money, do what you do.
That's like something happening to my man's shoe collection and me saying here goes the money to help you. Me not being a Jordan fan I would just go to FootLocker and buy the first shoe that has a J on it and it may not be what he want. Y'all are late. I am done with this site..It cute for a black one, but come on and realize more than 60% of actors in hollywood go broke, Especially the black ones. They get out here, make a decent amount of money and blow it on the same stuff regular black folks do, clothes, watches, and cars. A crappy house out here cost almost $500K. So if one is lucky enough to get a regular gig and it gets cancelled they still try to maintain that rich actor image. But they go broke cause of mortgages and rent at $3k a month, dinner out to be seen by producers at $200 a pop. And car notes ranging from $1500 a month, and with no jobs, pleeze these folks be slanging on the side. But mama then said too much. its too early.

Wesley Jonathan is NOT broke. I cannot say this is a baseless remark, as it is based off of a direct plea. However, this is a plea from a good dude who didn't know where to start with helping someone he cares about. Right or wrong, he chose his myspace fan base. He has NEVER made the claim of being a millionaire, baller, or any of sorts. He is a working human, one of the good guys out there.

Whateva as a makeup artist I can tell ya'll makeup is NOT cheap...a brush alone can cost $40!!! And its hard to build your collection up too...it really takes years forreal. I'm feeling her...and I'm pretty sure she didn't drop 15Gs at one time but $20 for mascara or $15 for eyeshadows turns into hundreds of dollars if you steady purchasing it.

This story seems a bit irrational. Jonathan Wesley is by no means "broke". Before "Roll Bounce" he had a 4 year stint on Nickelodeon AND he had 2 year stink on "What I like About You" with Amanda Bynes (formerly of Nickelodeon) which has gone into syndication in over 75 countries. So this man is getting a check. I can't speak for his lady, and I know Make-up can be costly. But I don't believe that with all of the make-up artists/starts/D-listers he must be affiliated with, he would reach out to the public in such a way....
A friend of mine insured her kit with State Farm, you can do that these days.. makeup kits ARE costly.. I used to talk to Wes on myspace, and I used to look up to Denyce alot because we have the same mix.
I don't think this says he's broke. First of all, if you were in a movie or TV show that has regular syndication and/or has a lot of residual sales, and your name was one of pivital characters, you're getting money. They STILL show his show "What I Like About You" every day in syndication, and he's one of the main characters on that show. And "Roll Bounce" gets played a lot on VH1 now. I'm sure he does have ebough to hit up the M.A.C counter and stuff. It's not like "make-up" is a million dollar product. But Wesley is very cool, and friendly with all of his myspace friends... maybe he just thought "hmm, these people are so cool, maybe they can help" Secondly, this is a terrible thing that happened, and we should all have more sympathy.
