A shady Atlanta businesswoman armed with a gallon jug of silicone and syringes is offering to inject women seeking "J.Lo butts" in a Manhattan hotel room - an illegal and potentially lethal cosmetic treatment.And for all y'all considering getting this done - don't. Here's the story of a young man who died after getting the injections:"I need to see your butt," Kimberly Smedley told a Post reporter posing as a customer last week in a suite at the Eastgate Tower Hotel on East 39th Street.
Smedley, a heavyset woman wearing camouflage pants and fake Ugg boots, then demanded $1,600 in cash to give nine injections to each cheek.
ALBANY, Ga. (AP)--The death of a transsexual who received injections of industrial-grade silicone illustrates the dangers of ``pumping,'' a thriving underground practice in motel rooms or apartments among men living as women. Authorities say 23-year-old Andre D. Jeter suffered convulsions and fell unconscious Dec. 10 after receiving injections in her hips and buttocks during a ``pumping party'' here. She died a month later.Stephen Oneal Thomas, 31, was charged last week with murder and other offenses for allegedly administering the injections. Thomas' lawyer refused on Tuesday to comment.
One of Thomas' roommates, Nikkia Scott, and other drag queens have been getting illegal, back-room injections of silicone to give themselves some of the things nature denied them when they were born male--breasts, wider hips, more prominent cheekbones.
They know the risks are extreme, and still they do it.
``Anything you put in your body that don't belong there will hurt you in the long run,'' Scott said of her $6,000 worth of injections. ``But believe me, it has been worth it. It has been worth it.''
Scott and three others were also arrested in the case and charged with conspiracy and practicing medicine without a license. They were accused, among other things, of helping Thomas by recruiting patients at drag-queen beauty pageants.
The victim was a man living as a woman, as are all four defendants. While medical-grade silicone is implanted under the skin in sealed sacs to keep it from leaking, pumping involves injecting silicone straight into the body. And the silicone used is the stuff sold in hardware stores as a sealant. It is not sterile and can cause infections, particularly in the lungs.
The silicone is often mixed with paraffin, oil, even peanut butter, said Dallas Denny of the transgender support group Gender Education & Advocacy. In Jeter's case, it was probably mixed with baby oil, based on how it smelled to others who received the injections, said James Paulk, an investigator for the district attorney.
There was so much silicone in Jeter's body that when incisions were made during the autopsy, a clear, brownish liquid flowed out, Paulk said.
The scope of the phenomenon is unclear. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Food and Drug Administration and transgender groups said they do not keep track of the problem. But Paulk said a ``slew'' of people have been injured, including three or four in Montgomery, Ala., six or seven in Columbus, Ga., and a few in Jacksonville, Fla.
``The transgender society is a very tight-knit society. They don't like to give each other up because if you do, you get barred from the pageants,'' Paulk said.

Although murder doesn't make sense (It doesnt sound like a premeditated act....more the act of gross negligence which would be more like manslaughter), this is still a very sad state of affairs. PLastic surgery is still surgery. People wouldnt get their appendix taken out or surgery on a broken arm in a hotel room, why in the hell would they go and get this done in that setting? Some stranger injecting sealant or brake fluid directly into someone's body? That is just madness.
If you can't afford to go and get it done the right way, from a qualified doctor, dont get it done at all.

Ok having said that I think it's sad this woman died in such a senseless manner. See us sistas never have serious surgury like these white women do. They get breast implants, botox, booty implants, lip injections, you name it. Us sistas, will only at times rock a nice wig/weave or front lace. Ironically, they call us sistas fake when we rocking a weave, but for some odd reason they aren't fake or even more fake than us for getting serious and permanent surgeries. SMH LOL oh well.

If people could learn to love themselves, scam artists and plastic surgeons would not make any money. There is nothing wrong with being natural and loving it. I know Kim. She did some girls jobs I know about. She has cheated a lot of girls with her watery solution that's why you have to do a so many injections with her, but her [EXPLETIVE] is medical grade. Yeah; Hydrogel is safe. Silicone isn't. I know the lady who does them and she has that grade A Hydrogel. I think you need to know what you're being injected w/ and be careful about you let inject them. My waist is 20" and my hips/booty is 46". Overexaggerated or not, I like it.
