: It appears that Kimora Lee Simmons may have lost her dang mind. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that in a recent interview, she told what she plans to do with the remains of her recently deceased dog.
Here's a direct quote:
There is a company that makes diamonds out of your loved ones. [They] make diamonds from a little of the carbon from the ash, so I might do that. I might turn her into a diamond.Ummmm ... OK....
I heard about this technology two years ago where people were getting cremated and then turned into diamonds as a sort of family heirloom.
Diamonds = Carbon + millions of years of heat and pressure
It normally takes a few days to make diamonds out of ashes. Carbon is the base element that all living things are made of.
----------------------------------- Who do you believe in? I put my faith in God Blessed and still breathing.
Lifegem, GemSmart, Algordanza, and Heart-In Diamond are the companies that create the diamonds. Lifegem's prices begin at $3,299 for a 1/4 ct. top to $24,999 for over 1.50 ct (depending on color). The price is for the loose stones only (setting is extra). 1 of my friends said that if anything ever happened to her husband that she is going to have this done so he will always be with her. We think she's nuts too.
Actually she's not crazy. My mom told me about this a few years ago because she wanted this done with her remains after she is creamated. They can either use the ash from the remains or some of the hair to create a stone that you can wear on you in order to be close to your loved one. So if this is what my mother wants as her final wish I will do it for her when the time comes.
What's so wrong with that? People grow attached to things whether it's another person or a furry companion and when that person/animal is no longer with us some ppl will do anything to keep them close... I mean c'mon clearly the ppl who are making the diamonds have an group of consumers otherwise they wouldn't be in business... Guess none of y'all at MTO ever lost something very close to you.
