: MediaTakeOut.com told you about whispers of Tyra getting fired from America's Next Top Model months ago. Now OK Magazine is hearing a similar report.
Here's what they're reporting:
According to a show insider, the hostess with the mostest, Tyra Banks, and photographer Jay Manuel are this-close to having a catfight on the catwalk.“Tyra Banks is not getting along with Jay Manuel,” an insider tells OK! “She thinks he has become a diva and is ungrateful to her for making him a star. The way she sees it, it’s thanks to her that he now has a makeup line, a show on Style Network and hosts Canada’s version of Top Model.”
So how bad has it gotten? So bad that the 34-year-old supermodel reportedly phones in all her takes for the show now. “Tyra barely interacts with the contestants and only wants to show up on judging day," the source adds.
Even worse — she doesn’t want to return for the next season.
"She wants another supermodel to replace her for cycle 13 so she can focus on her other projects," the source says. "She has a lot on her plate. Something’s got to give."
doesnt sound like she's being fired at all...sounds more like she's outgrown the show and u hang aroung ANY kween long enough and they WILL snake u...I honestly think shes not showing up cuz her relationship is heating up and maybe shes taking time to focus on that..btw, thats the best she's EVER looked in the first pic

How can she get fired from her own show? Did she sign it over to someone or something? I'm a bit lost here. That last time I checked, the show was still being ran by her company, Bankable Productions. What the h*ll are you talking about? If there's no Tyra, then there's no show.
The network might not RENEW her show for another season. But still, it's her show and she cannot get fired.
In your own story you say she's is deciding if she wants to come back for season 13....how does that equal her getting fired???
She is co-creator of the show, she will decide if she wants to continue or not. If she was to be forced out, they would have to pay her hella $$$$ since shes one of the creators and executive producers if they wanted to continue without her....
I dont think that thats what was said and I hardly think that Tyra can get FIRED from her own show!! MTO will take something and switch it all around! I can believe that Mr. J is acting up b/c he gets a little out of hand on the show from time to time. He need not forget who got him the fame he has, I mean granted Im sure he was already things but noone knew who he was!!!

And um.. check the end of the show. What does it say? BANKable Productions... these models signed there lives over to Tyra not Ford nor any other model agency.
I have some friends who owned a radio station for several years. They later merged with a company and sold 51% of their stock; which in turn made them minority stockholders. When the people who owned the majority stock saw fit...they did not renew my friends' contracts...so in a sense they were fired. My friends still owned their 49%...but they still got the axe. So, yes you can get fired from your own ***. Its all about your contract, and how much you own, etc....just because ANTM is the brainchild of Ms. Banks and she is Executive Producer, unless she owns EXCLUSIVE rights to the show....the network and the show execs can do whatever they want. I hope its not true though. But even if it is....Tyra is a pretty smart cookie...she is gon' get PAID regardless!!!!
sounds like she's wants to resign m.t.o, not get fired, get it together pls & quit doing what you do best ,which is either stretching,reaching or making *** up!....geesh....& if this is true about jay? he needs to get his head off the clouds & count his lucky stars of all the opportunities he's been given,if anything he's nowhere near a star just yet, so all this can be taken away from him just like that!...hate it when ppl get a little bit of fame/success, especially thru the help of others that are bigger than they are & then feel like they're too "big or hollywood"...get ti together jay!
@DivaTV_BayArea-We understand the whole business aspect of Tyra truly being able to get 'fired' from her own show(although she does own the production company that trademarks ANTM, ahem, Bankable Productions). However, I think everyone is commenting on the fact that this story MTO posted says NOTHING about Tyra getting fired from her show. I guess this shows MTO either gets a kick outta starting libelous gossip or has a SERIOUS reading comprehension problem...
She can't get fired, but she sure could sell the show to another producer. She just need to stop being a wimp. She was a wimp when she was a model (naomi campbell she always feared)and she tries to act tough and hood like, but she ain't. She gonna let that sissy force her to give up somethin' she created, she a fool. She better call her mentor Oprah. Oprah is a tough woman.
Must be all the sexual tension between Tyra and Mr Jay. She prolly wants him but...he just don't go her way. LOL.
Just kidding. Tyra is one of the creators of the show so maybe it is doubtful if she can be fired. Unless she fires herself. Maybe she think that Mr. Jay has gotten too big for his britches and is being prevented from dropping his azz by one of the other elements (other producer, CW or whomever). That may cause her to threaten to quit to pursue "other projects". It's like those politicians quitting to spend more time with their famlies when they disagree with their party.
