: Yesterday MediaTakeOut.com told you that word going around "The A" is that R&B singer was Monica was having some money trouble. Well Monica reached out to us directly to clear the whole thing up.
Monica told us, in no uncertain terms, that her paper was in order. The R&B singer explained MediaTakeOut.com that she wisely invested the money she made in the industry and now she's able to live very comfortably.
And the house that we showed to you guys yesterday that was for sale - well it wasn't Monica's - it was her accountants. Apparently she had her baby shower there - and a lot of folk thought the house was Monica's.
MediaTakeOut.com asked Monica head on where she believed the rumors of her financial crisis were coming from. And Monica explained, "People are probably saying that I'm having [financial] difficulty because I'm not around like I used to be. I'm not in the clubs and such ... But I'm at a different point in my life ... I have a family now."
But don't get it twisted, just because Monica's not in the clubs, doesn't mean she's not in the studio. Monica told MediaTakeOut.com that she's been currently working on her new album Lessons Learned with the likes of Polow Da Don, Bryan Cox, Missy, Babyface, and Jermaine Dupri.
Her first single's coming out in July and the albums set for a late August release.

Hmmm, I don't know. Monica probably had her people send this story to MTO to keep us talking. When she sees that her name isn't out there than her ppl sends a story to MTO and then she contacts MTO to clear up the story...that sounds like promotion. She doesn't want us to forget about her, but it's hard when you haven't had a hit since Moses was called to glory.

I feel you on that. Im so sick and tired of these corny *** people coming in here and advertising b*ullsh*t about dating and there lame *** music. It never has a *** thing to do with the subject that we are all dicussing. Now that, thats out the way. Monica is fire! She will come out with a banger soon. People just need to stop hatin and be patient. I do not believe that she is having financial problems.
To the people that are stating that Monica owes the public no explanation, let me say this. When you are an entertainer, most, if not all of your income is garnished from the public. Public perception of you, is of the utmost importance. Perception has a direct effect on your income. Again, I am not referring to those of you that may work at Walmarts. I am speaking only of entertainers. As an entertainer it is vital that you are seen as someone that is thriving, and not in any financial trouble. It lowers your ability to renegotiate any further deals. If you are perceived as being desperate for cash, you will be offered less for any future deals. So yes, it is most important that she clear up any rumors, that she is suffering financially, whether it is true, or not. Entertainers like politicians, owe everything to public perception. And that my friends is the bottom line. In addition, to you that think that celebrities do not read blogs, you are so mistaken. They not only read blogs, but some have gone as far as to hire personnel, for who’s only duty, is to read blogs all day long. Blogs are the new sounding boards of present, and future. Believe it or not, even the silly ish that some of you may have to say, is considered vital information.. Corporations do the same thing when they send out questionnaires, about what you think of their companies. It is called feedback. Some of you really should consider taking on a few business courses. @artofwar....not necessarily...im STILL waiting on Hillary Clintons tax forms and she's a presidential candidate...so i guess Monicas financial business is further down the ladder and the public just has to wonder...me, personally, I dont consider the artists net worth when I purchase their album...plus, Janet is filthy rich but she's no longer marketable in entertainment...she could renegotiate all day, doesnt mean that she's gonna be re-signed cuz she's well off...even rich people have issues and its called human...the public doesnt necessarily sh*t on u when u r down, looka Britney...just a rebuttal and another side of the coin...

That's good that it sounds hot. She's had hot songs in the past, but one or two hot songs doesn't sell an album. That last song single that she dropped was a party song (don't remember the name - that should tell you something), that song was hot, but didn't make her album sell. We'll have to see what happens.
I hear that Monica..shes very talented and I actually look forward to hearing her new material..I dont think she should have even responded to MTO..I mean once you start, it doesnt stop..people are going to expect an explanation for everything..but I know that celebs are human and they definitely read these gossip sites..so its only natural for her to want to say her side of whats going on..anyway I will take Monica over all these new wanna be loser R&B chicks any day
Mo is my girl. You see, the young singers from that era, Aaliyah, Brandy and Monica were different. Brandy's mom said that she wouldn't have to work again after her first album which sold 5mil records(before the show, the movies and other platinum plus recrods like "Never Say Never"), Mo's mom had her back and they were smart.

As you mentioned, the artist that are as you say filthy rich, became filthy rich, with public financial support. Without that support revenues for the company that the said artist is contracted to, will begin to in decline. Therefore any renegotiations of said artist’s futher contracts, will lower the artist’s bargaining leverage. Giving the company the advantage. I am so sure this was not a shameless attempt to plug her new CD, her publicist thought it was a good idea to clear the air because MTO always making up sh*T with no knowledge or proof of the truth! She doesn't feel the need to respond or even aknowledge MTO because she has been here (industry) long enough to not adhere to nonsense. Can't yall see that MTO made both the first story and this "correction story" up? This correction story was made up so people would think that celebrities actually acknowledge this bullsh*t-as* site. That woman is such a natural beauty. I love her music. So what she replied to MTO. You would reply if someone was talking *** about you to, right? I know I would if someone was trying to trash me.
