: MediaTakeOut.com was the first news source in the world to break that T.I. was arrested on the gun charges (see here), we were the first news source in the world to tell you that T.I. would plead out the case (see here)- and now we're the first to tell you how T.I. got such a good deal. And we can now say with 100% certainty that T.I.'s recent plea agreement DID NOT involve any snitching.
MediaTakeOut.com spoke to a person who had intimate knowledge of the case. And according to that person, T.I. got such a generous plea deal because prosecutor's were nervous about the testimony of T.I.'s bodyguard. The insider explained, to MediaTakeOut.com, "[The government] was worried that their star witness wouldn't hold up on the stand so they offered the deal plain and simple ... He was a shaky witness at best."
Developing...
That sounds about right because the FEDS have 95% conviction rate and holds alot pride in that precentage. So they would hate to lose a case to a star but money helps alot also. Plus that witness was on the run and received alot of death threats around the A from all the street talk around here.Plud the FEDS had alot of hole in their case that T.I.'s lawyer ate thu ask Jamal Lewis and Ray Lewis.

TI would neva break that code anywayz..and I knew that witness would not hold up! First time they said that the witness was " TI's bodyguard turned informant"..then they said dude was "A Undercover ATF agent" wtf?!! all they did was inconvience this man's life a great deal. TI Ya GOTTA be more careful mein..god bless ya.
Lol @ MTO, for reinforcing that dumb negro code 'stop snitching', like that's a fundamental value in the Black community or something When are Black people gonna learn, smh!!=) ...Oh and who cares about TI, I have no sympathy for him whatsoever. He ain't doing shi t for me, nor anything significant for Black ppl in general, he's only a hero for the Bafoons, the mentally damaged, and lost. I say away wit' his scrawny ***- looking azz...I would've gave him the maximum!!!
T.I. had good lawyers, people always want to assume something when someone gets off good. The criminal justice system works like this---If you have money, you can fight the system---If you don't have money like many (black men) don't you get raped in the system.....
If T.I. was an average dude on the streets he would have been given at least 10years in prison....
LOL @ the "stop snitching" mentality of some Black people who then get upset when crimes go unsolved and the police don't want to be bothered. Proper crime fighting requires the involvement of the entire community. So if you're tired of dodging *** on your way home from work, start opening your mouth or just stop complaining.
Yup cuz the bodyguard set his *** up! Still he needs to watch who he hangs with! Plus he did have a gun and weed in his car he was riding in! The machine guns and what not is kinda suspicious! Because he can't be that stupid to meet in a public place as a public figure to pick up machine guns! NOBODY CAN BE THAT STUPID!
The problem with people today is that they will believe anything. If the media says, hell is the new heaven, everybody would want to go. That's just sad. Anyway, Based on the evidence and TI's previous conviction, he should have done some hard time. If it had been any other black man in this forum, he would've gone to jail, unless he opted for the lesser of the two evils.
10 years in prison and basically the end of my existence or snitch in hopes that no one will ever find out and go back to being "The King."
One thing TI is not, is stupid. Ain't no way I'd want to go jail for no years, let alone 5-10. Please!
Not only that, the whole world hates a snitch. Hell, a snitch hates himself. However, due to cerain situations snitching is a means to an end and that information is confidential, meaning not for the public.
If he snitched and they told that to the world, he wouldn't survive on the streets for too much longer.
Whatever the case may be, I'm glad he's free from prison, but please believe, that mental jail is a whole 'nother hell. Ask any facing 10 years in prison.
THERE'S NO WAY T.I. WOULD EVER SNITH ON ANYONE. NO WAY, NO HOW. HE'S A REAL STAND UP MAN FOR SURE, AND I THINK HE'D RATHER TAKE THE HIT THAN TURN ON SOMEONE ELSE; TOO BAD EVERYONE SURROUNDING HIM DON'T HAVE THE SAME HEART. HE NEEDS TO REEVALUATE WHO HE'S SURROUNDING HIMSELF WITH, CAUSE EVERYBODY IN HIS CAMP IS NOT FOR HIM, SOME ARE JEALOUSY SECRETLY AND ARE WILLING TO HAND HIM OVER ON A SILVER PLATTER.
T.I., BOO, PLEASE WATCH YOUR BACK. DON'T TRUST ALL THEM ***.
Thank u Sugar_T1tz, A voice of reason! Man I swear black folks can be our own worst enemy. We'll lament to high heavens about our 'struggles', and how 'they do us', yet we continue to perpetuate these ridiculous concepts as Gospel, moreover support this 'Bafoons', who do shi t else, but cause us further harm!!!
MTO stop it
It was on the news and radio that he got arrested before he got to the jail
secondly I read that He was to making a plea deal at aropund 8:30 am eastern time on A.J.C dot com, an hour and a half before MTO updated
Stop actin like yall doin somethin besides telling lies and taking credit for legitimate news that was already posted on another site.
THIS IS A COPY OF THE GEORGIA FIREARM ORDINACE.
LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING FIREARMS POSSESSION BY A FELON OCGA 16-11-131(A) Persons convicted of a felony or felony first offender, and Receives, possesses, or transports any firearm Upon conviction shall receive one to five years imprisonment. Persons covered by Possession Of Firearms By Convicted Felons, OCGA 16-11-131(A), include: Any person who is on probation as a felony first offender (pursuant to Article 3 of Chapter 8 of Title 42), or who has been convicted of a felony by a court of this state or any other state; by a court of the United States including its territories, possessions, and dominions; or by a court of any foreign nation, or by a court of any foreign nation and who receives, possesses, or transports any firearm commits a felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be imprisoned for not less than one nor more than five years; provided, however, that if the felony as to which the person is on probation or has been previously convicted is a forcible felony, then upon conviction of receiving, possessing, or transporting a firearm, such person shall be imprisoned for a period of five years.
HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN AT LEAST ONE YEAR FOR THE HANDGUN IN THE CAR.
HERE IS THE LAW/ORDINACE FOR THE MACHINE GUN AND SILENCERS.
16-11-122. Possession of sawed-off *** or rifle, machine gun, silencer, or dangerous weapon prohibited. No person shall have in his possession any sawed-off ***, sawed-off rifle, machine gun, dangerous weapon, or silencer except as provided in Section 16-11-124. JUDICIAL DECISIONS It is not arbitrary or unreasonable to prohibit keeping and carrying of sawed-off ***, which are of a size such as can easily be concealed and which are adapted to and commonly used for criminal purposes. Carson v. State, 241 Ga. 622, 247 S.E.2d 68 (1978). When a convicted felon is in possession of a sawed-off ***, two separate and distinct crimes are being committed, because a prohibited person is in possession of a prohibited weapon. One crime is not "included" in the other and they do not merge. Bivins v. State, 166 Ga. App. 580, 305 S.E.2d 29 (1983); Brown v. State, 168 Ga. App. 537, 309 S.E.2d 683 (1983). Evidence sufficient to support conviction. Evidence that the *** barrel was measured according to policy and procedure to make the determination on the length of the gun was sufficient to authorize the jury's finding that defendant was guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt, of unlawful possession of a sawed-off *** with a barrel less than 18 inches in length in violation of this section. Wiley v. State, 204 Ga. App. 881, 420 S.E.2d 783, cert. denied, 204 Ga. App. 922, 420 S.E.2d 783 (1992).
If you have money you should have a good lawyer, instead of buying rims and teeth when your in the game get an attorney. When you're smart you get yourself a good legal team you never know when you may need them. So tell all your homies on the block to get a good lawyer before they buy the ghetto luxury items(ie,rims, grills, and clothes). If you haven't done it yet don't hate.
Whatever Dogzbite, you're ign'ant! I wish TI DID snitch! more people need to snitch! *** NEED to go to jail! People go around *** people and acting like fools..then get mad cuz someone told on em! THEY DESERVE TO GET TOLD ON! Innocent people are getting *** and killed because of dumb *** ignant *** people!
just the other day a woman in bed stuy brooklyn was *** to death! she was only 27 years old! she left behind three kids! i hope and pray if someone knows something theyll snitch on the *** who took that woman away from her kids!
*** that street code ***! IF YOU DONT WANNA GET SNITCHED ON STOP BEING A CRIMINAL! GET A *** JOB! AND BE AN UPSTANDING CITIZEN! Little kids on playgrounds are getting *** and all you can worry about is getting snitched on! SNITCH ON A BYTCH! GOOD FOR THEM! I HOPE THEY ALL GO TO JAIL FOR GOOD! ANYONE WHO KILLS INNOCENT PEOPLE DESERVE THE MOST HARSH SENTENCE!
Man anybody with any real knowledge on how the feds work should know that they do not plea unless they get something in exchange. They don't even bring the case to trial unless they can win. He is a felon that was caught with guns and silencers!!! The silencers alone could have gotten him about 10. I know we don't want to believe he snitched but unfortunately it sound like so.
That's what happens when the government tries to set people up just because of certain vendettas. TI got set-up BIG TIME by a shady *** individual, which, however, doesn't negate the fact that he was trying to buy guns.
Lesson of the day: selling out people/snitching doesn't pay in the end, your credibility is always in question and the person you are trying to bring down will always get away.
NAIVE BABIES ON THIS WEBSITE....
LITTLE KING PROBABLY THE ONE WHO CALLED MTO!!!
REGARDLESS OF WITNESS WITH THOSE GUNS AND HE WAS CAUGHT WITH THE E-PILLS AND WEED ON HIM HE IS GUILTY AND GOING TO JAIL
EITHER HE SNITCHED OR SOMEONE GOT PAID OFF!!!
WAKE UP DUMMIES!!!! YA'LL DON'T KNOW HIS PUNK *** TO BE AW HE WOULD NTO DO THAT.
MAN THE LAW IS THELAW AND HE COULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN AROUND THELAW THAT FREAKING MUCH!!!!!
TI SNITCH ***!!!!!! WATCH IF SOMEONE ELSE GOES DOWN WITHIN A TWO YEAR TIME FRAME HE SNITCHED.
WAKE UP DUMMIES!!!!
According to T.I.’s attorney’s, T.I. is not on house arrest for a year as was widely reported last week. “T.I. can go anywhere he wants,” said one of his attorneys. But the rapper needs court approval to attend certain industry events, and he has to adhere to a strict curfew.
Last ***, T.I. stepped out on the town with his pregnant girlfriend Tiny. The happy couple attended an exhibit by T.I.’s personal photographer, Derek Blanks.
Despite his newfound freedom, T.I. is still required to wear an electronic monitoring device at all times. He can not leave Georgia without permission and he must complete 1000 hours of community service speaking to troubled youth about the dangers of drugs, guns and gangbanging.
The rapper has been the subject of harsh criticism since pleading guilty to federal weapons charges last week. Many believe he was handed a sweetheart deal by federal prosecutors because he snitched.
Those who accuse T.I. of snitching simply don’t know how the justice system works for affluent people. The key is to hire attorneys who have established good working relationships with the prosecutor and judges.
T.I.’s popularity would have made the case difficult to prosecute in Atlanta anyway. This case wasn’t so much about guns as it was about drugs.
In their zeal to find drugs, federal agents tore T.I.’s front door off it’s hinges, threw stun grenades in the face of his two year old and stomped his teenage nephew.
Instead of finding kilos of cocaine, agents found children’s toys, and a collection of guns - some over 15 years old - tucked away in a safe in the back of his bedroom closet. If the case had gone to trial, evidence would have shown that none of the guns had been recently fired.
Agents didn’t find so much as a burnt joint in the house. It was standard overkill. A case of overzealous federal agents acting on a tip from an informant who may not have been all that reliable.
T.I.’s plea deal benefits everyone including taxpayers who would have footed the bill to warehouse him in prison. By placing T.I. on probation, the state saves thousands in taxpayer dollars.
Sources say T.I. is working overtime in the studio every *** to complete his album “Paper Trail”. He and Tiny are eagerly awaiting the birth of their son in May.
this was on myspace mto
He didn't give up nothing.
Hell, OJ should have gotten life, but did he? Does that mean he gave up something when there was nothing to give? Uhhhh, no.
Besides, WTF could T.I. could have possibly given up? The WHOLE entire case was built on him and him alone, not other ppl.
God was watching out T.I. Plus, T.I. has cake. He paid big and got a good outcome. It's as simple as 1,2,3.
Stop saying Tip's a snitch, b/c he had no one to snitch on a**hole's. Think about what you say before you say it.
@only1aja: T.I. has bookoo money, something the average black man doesn't have, therefore you can't even compare a regular black man with little money to a *** black man with millions of dollars. My question again, WHO COULD T.I. HAVE SNITCHED ON? NO ONE. There was no one for him to snitch on. He would not have pleaded guilty if had snitched and still gotten a felony charge. He pleaded guilty to avoid going to trial. The Fed's let him plead guilty, b/c their key witness was a flake and they knew that w/o their key witness then when the case would have been taken to trial, their chances of winning would have been slim to none. What part don't you understand? Snitches don't snitch and plead guilty; snitches snitch and get off scot free with nothing being *** on their criminal record.
Stop this snitching business. Remember, the snitch was the bodyguard. The person he was snitching on was T.I. Th fed's weren't interested in convicting anyone else, BUT T.I. Meaning that T.I. could not have snitched on someone to clear his ***, b/c there was no one to snitch on.
If this were the case, don't you think he would have done all of this snitching when he was supposed to be going on tour to make money? That would have saved him a lot of money spent on his lawyer's fees, jail time, and he would have been stacking cake.
God has a plan for this man, not a human being on this earth can stop that.
@SweetestGirl_Brannu
In order to get a deal he doesn't have to give information about the crime he is charged with. he can tell of any crime that is being commited or has knowledge of. for instance if a person is arrested for burgulary, but he has information that will lead to a murdurer, he may only get probation if he talks and his information is credible.
Also O.J Simpson went to TRIAL. he did not cop a plea. the Jury acquitted him
I tell you what! I wouldn't want to be T.I's friend for anything in the whole wide world (especially if i'm doing dirt). There are some excellent criminal lawyers around but I haven't seen one 'that good'. And Federal Charges too, *** please! Don't be suprise when many people in the music biz began getting locked up in 2008. T.I needs to rename himself, "jalapeno" 'cause he's a HOT ***....
SO WHAT HAPPENED TO TINY'S CHARGES THEN YA'LL DUMB ***?
GET OFF T.I. ***. HE SNITCHED AND GOT HIM AND TINY OFF.
EVEN IF IT WAS ABOUT DRUGS HE HAD EX-PILL AND WEED. HIS ATTORNEY IS PAID WELL ENOUGH TO SAY WHATEVER T.I. TELL HIM. JUST LIKE T.I. IS PAID ENOUGHT TO COVER UP THOSE HERPES BUMPS AROUND HIS LIPS.
T.I. AND TINY- SNITCH ***
WE KNOW WHY HE NEED THE GUNS-- LOOK AT HIS SMALL SELF AND GOT THE NERVE TO WANT TO OWN/TRAIN SOME FIGHTERS BUT CAN'T FIGHT A LICK HIM *** SELF. HIS *** NEED SOME TRAINING FOR REAL
HE A SNITCH B.I.T.C.H!!!!!!!!!! WATCH!!!!!!!!!
Get the *** outta here. Even if that WAS the TRUTH I know for a fact they wouldve offered him more time than that. Hes a felon ALREADY which QUALIFYS him for all kinds of EXTENDED TERMS. The silencers ALONE couldve got him 15 yrs. Any one who knows anything about the system knows he snitched. MTO stop tryna cover the *** up. He tolod on somebody or gave SOME KIND OF INFO thats all there is to it. I dont care what nobody says.
I do not care who this insider is who said this and that but is anomymous. mightyc42 this is federal so them georgia guidelines do not apply. I am not speculating i am talking from first hand experience i was in the federal system for 7 years. The feds have a 98% conviction rate they don't arrest people unless they have enough to convict. They will sit on you for 10 years if need be there money is infinite. I am not passing judgement on t.i all i know is the truth will come out when your in the federal system every person gets a paper called a sentence and commitment. It will say if the person recieved a 5k1 which means they cooperated with the government. there is no hiding no way arouund it. any federal prison you go to the inmates are gonna ask you to see your paperwork if you dont show them you must have something to hide needless to say you will not be able to live comfortable. but being that he will be in a camp probably with guys that are about to go home and do not wanna mess up theit privaleges of working outside in the community and getting furloughs noone is gonna do anything to him they just are not gonna mess with him like that. If he didn't snitch and i hope this is the case this will be an unprecedented event in u.s history never before has this happened. Never before have they let a 2 time felon out for "public interest" they look like fools thye would rather take their chance at trail. some time will tell hopefully he manned up and made history.
@CASHRULESEVERYTHING
I know he has a federal case but all states hav a similar sentencing and so does the federal government. the feds information was a lot longer to sift through so I didnt put it on because i dont have two days to look through it for the right statutes.
Also Georgia may try to convict him. it is unlikely but look at Mike Vic. We didnt think that the state would try to punish him after he plead guilty and his lawyers fought long and hard to prove double jeopardy.
So THE KING may se more time anyway. I hope that he does
Here one, My childhood best friend was a heavyweight in the Los Angeles drug trade in the early to mid 80's. He blew up and got stung by the local and federal task force agencies. They ransacked his house and got a half key of powder, small amount of rocks, $82,000. cash, 2 street sweepers,a AR-15 and AK-47(fully automatic), and 2 silencers. Now this is about 25 to 50 years worth of charges he's looking at. WHY DID I RUN INTO HIM IN WASHINGTON, DC ABOUT 3 YEARS LATER AFTER HIS TRIAL?
