: MediaTakeout.com told you yesterday that R&B singer Toni Braxton was hospitalized after complaining of chest pains. The pains were likely a result of pericarditis, a viral inflammation of the heart she was diagnosed with years ago. We've now learned that Toni was released from the hospital yesterday.
Toni was admitted to a hospital in Las Vegas Monday night after suffering from chest pains. The 40-year-old canceled a show scheduled for Tuesday at the Flamingo Showroom, in order to undergo medical tests at the St. Rose Dominican Hospital.
In the past, Toni's been treated in the past for pericarditis, a viral inflammation of the heart. A spokeswoman for the Flamingo Hotel-Casino said Braxton was “in good condition” and was released Tuesday afternoon. Don Marrandino, Flamingo president said, “We wish Toni a quick recovery and would like her to take the time she needs to regain optimal health. We are looking forward to her return at the end of the week.”
The Grammy-winning singer has been headlining her live show “Toni Braxton: Revealed” five days a week at the Flamingo since 2006. She's expected to resume performing later this week.

I am a HUGE Toni Braxton fan. Been following her for quite some time now. Matter of fact, I was just listening to her this morning before this was posted.
When I said her next hit would be FLATLINE, it was supposed to be a gist at her taking it easy. You never heard someone say "you need to slow down before you kill yourself?" Well, that's what I meant. Nothing terrible against Toni. She does need to calm down. She had an interview where she said since she was diagnosed with that Periocardial(sp) disease, the doctors told her that she needed to calm down and remain stress free.
So for those who are upset, and maybe Toni, I retract my first statement, and will replace it with this:
Toni, I am glad to hear that you are doing better. For the sake of you, your family, friends and fans, please take it easy. We love you too much to see you down. We know that you're still around and we look forward to your next album.

Hello MTO!…I am an avid reader of your site and I think I should share some “shocking” news. Please post this for the fellow MediaTakeOut.com readers. I was in China last week for a *** vacation. I was at the all-you-can-eat buffet and just as I was going to my car, this colored man accidentally bumped into me, knocking to me to the ground. Startled, the guy apologized and asked if I was ok. As I got up and dusted my self off, I looked at who he was. And Lo and Behold---IT WAS 2 PAC!! I couldn’t believe my eyes!! I said, “Man, you look like 2PAC!” And he said, “***, I AM 2 PAC!” …..“WESTSIIIIIDEE”, he proclaimed as he threw up the “Westside” sign. And then he told me about how he has a new double-disk album coming out this fall. He said guest appearances will include: Britney Spears, Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Jordan Sparks, Norah Jones, Soulja Boy, Justin Timberlake, T-Pain, Chris Brown, Sean Kingston, Carrie Underwood, Sanjaya Malakar, Rihanna, Lloyd, Jamie Foxx, Ciara, and hopefully Timberland. He said the first single should be out in July, hopefully around Independence Day, but there WILL BE NO VIDEO!!! He told me that he plans to return to the U.S. in 2018. He also said that he wanted to vote for Obama, but that he was afraid that if he cast his ballot, he would blow his cover. I know this may seem false, but he REALLY was in China. I can not honestly tell you the name of the restaurant because it was in Chinese, of course. But it was in Taiwan. He wasn’t with anyone, but he did leave in a 2008 Rolls-Royce Phantom. It was amazing! It was black with the license plate entitled: WESTSIDE. He did give me a contact number but made me promise not to give it to the media. He also gave me an autographed copy of the new CD and it’s a certified banger, as you guys say.! He told me that I could let everyone know that he appreciates their loyal support and to be sure to cop that new album in August. Please post this MTO! Let everyone know about 2PAC’s return.
