: MediaTakeOut.com is hearing whispers that the media may have played down the Beyonce and Jay Z story because of racism.
Here's how the NY Daily News is reporting it:
A top tabloid editor tells me that Jay-Z and Beyoncé's wedding was played down by the weeklies because "African-Americans don't sell covers."Now that's a dang shame - Jay and Bey are two of the biggest celebrities in the world and they're getting the shaft.Of the big five celebrity glossies out midweek, only Us Weekly gave Beyoncé the top spot on the cover. Other magazines gave her second billing to the likes of Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston.
"None of the magazines landed an exclusive on wedding pictures, which would have made the story bigger," said one tabloid insider, justifying why Beyoncé was relegated to a small cover box on his magazine.
But even wedding photos make less money for black stars, says another source. "Eva Longoria can get $1 million for wedding photos, but without the expectation of cover sales, Beyoncé might have gotten as little as $250,000 if she had sold hers," says a top editor.
But we're definitely not surprised. It's the same media that refuses to credit MediaTakeOut.com for our reporting even though we have a comparably sized audience as the largest celebrity sites and we continue to break the top African American celebrity stories (like Usher & Tameka Foster's wedding and baby, Chris Brown & Rihanna dating, and J Lo's pregnancy).
I don't blame the media. Considering how *** and Jay always like to "pretend" they ain't a couple. Let them pretend they can't make a million for wedding photos.
The fact is if you're gonna be secretive about your sh!t then nobody's gonna give a ***. Unlike J-Lo, Brangelina and Brittney's public relations who are always advertising their every move. They create a market where they can demand $1 million or more.

I was at the all-you-can-eat buffet and just as I was going to my car, this colored man accidentally bumped into me, knocking to me to the ground. Startled, the guy apologized and asked if I was ok. As I got up and dusted my self off, I looked at who he was. And Lo and Behold---IT WAS 2 PAC!! I couldn’t believe my eyes!! I said, “Man, you look like 2PAC!” And he said, “***!gg@, I AM 2 PAC!” …..“WESTSIIIIIDEE”, he proclaimed as he threw up the “Westside” sign. And then he told me about how he has a new double-disk album coming out this fall. He said guest appearances will include: Britney Spears, Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Jordan Sparks, Norah Jones, Soulja Boy, Justin Timberlake, T-Pain, Chris Brown, Sean Kingston, Carrie Underwood, Sanjaya Malakar, Rihanna, Lloyd, Jamie Foxx, Ciara, and hopefully Timberland. He said the first single should be out in July, hopefully around Independence Day, but there WILL BE NO VIDEO!!! He told me that he plans to return to the U.S. in 2018. He also said that he wanted to vote for Obama, but that he was afraid that if he cast his ballot, he would blow his cover. I know this may seem false, but he REALLY was in China. I can not honestly tell you the name of the restaurant because it was in Chinese, of course. But it was in Taiwan. He wasn’t with anyone, but he did leave in a 2008 Rolls-Royce Phantom. It was amazing! It was black with the license plate entitled: WESTSIDE. He did give me a contact number but made me promise not to give it to the media. He also gave me an autographed copy of the new CD and it’s a certified banger, as you guys say.! Not buying it. Us Weekly is the only tabloid with relatively accurate stories. They have Beyonce and Jay-Z on the cover. That's all that matters.
Furthermore, why the hell should those two get the top spot when they won't even confirm that they are married, let alone release some wedding photos or an exclusive. A story with no details or pics would be f'in boring.
Finally, MTO, there are times that you report stories that were in other media outlet first without giving credit. Let us not also forget that whole People magazine miscite debacle...Riverdale or Scarsdale? You know what I'm talking about.

i can name a ton of reasons why their so called wedding didn't get top billing!
