: MediaTakeOut.com got it's hands on an interview that R&B singer Kelly Rowland gave to the Australian news website News.au. Here's what they're reporting:
"I was 16 when I first thought about having breast implants. I would look down at my chest and think, 'Wow, this is probably as good as it gets'."In 1998, Rowland asked her mother, Doris Garrison, for permission to get implants. "But my mum said I was too young and hadn't allowed my body to stop growing – yada, yada, yada."
Soon after, Destiny's Child – Rowland, Michelle Williams and Beyonce Knowles – exploded.
And Rowland's self-image issues resurfaced.
"The second time, I had a consultation," she says. "But I was scared and I knew it wasn't for me."
But in October 2007, as pictures of a bikini-clad Rowland surfaced, it was clear she had changed her mind – and shape.
Rowland says she went from A-cup to B-cup for the sake of fashion. "I wanted to look better in my clothes," she explains.
"Finally, I was like, 'You know what? Let me just do it!' I wanted better-fitting tops. I can't apologize for that.
"It was a decision that was 10 years in the making. Nobody was pressuring me. And, you know, I like them."
@ Lifegroove, that is so true. You can tell by the ton in the way she says things. She's trying to "seem confident", so that no one can look at her in a negative light. But c'mon now, better fitting tops? That's not the only reason. Low self-esteem and negative self image were the main reasons I see.

She was sixteen when she thought her breasts were too small..I think people at the age of 16 are not mentally mature enough..She was always very skinny..Her *** needed to eat and then maybe her breasts would come into form....Implants don't solve everything...Everybody at 16 either wants smaller breasts or bigger breasts..or a different nose or a bigger *** or a smaller one...I mean come on..At that age a person does not think clearly..People with no breasts have a baby and get the breasts they want..Sometimes people with big breasts have a baby and get smaller breasts..I had a problem with being too thin when I was in my teens..by the time I hit twenty everything went to my hips..Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it

MTO, you guys are not going to believe this…well, then again, this IS MTO, so maybe you guys will. Ok, this past weekend I went to the flee market to purchase some fruits and vegetables. I was standing behind this Negro lady as she was weighing her bananas. I saw that she was struggling with her fruit so I tapped her on her shoulder to ask if she needed any assistance. When she turned around--LO AND BEHOLD-- IT WAS MAYA ANGELOU!! ! I was so shocked! I couldn’t believe it was her! I said “Maya, why on Earth are you at a flee market?” And she told me that she was human like everyone else and that she likes to bargain shop every once in a while! I still couldn’t believe it! She said she was a HUGE fan of Khia and that she went to several of her concerts. Think that’s all? She said she’s coming out with a RAP AND SPANISH ALBUM! Maya said that special guest may include Trina, Ricky Martin, 2 Live Crew and Timbaland. She even did the “crank dat” dance before signing an autograph for me. I did not get ANY of this on film, audio or video, but I KNOW you guys are known for posting information WITHOUT resources, so PLEASE post this!
