: There's a BOMBSHELL ready to be dropped in the R Kelly child pornography case. You'll recall that last week, the judge in the case closed the doors to the courtroom while lawyers for the prosecutors made a secret motion. And that the judge issued gag orders to preclude lawyers from talking about what went on behind the closed doors.
Well MediaTakeOut.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that during that closed door session, prosecutors asked to judge to allow evidence of R Kelly's improper relationship with the late R&B singer Aaliyah into the trial. For those of you who don't know, R Kelly and Aaliyah were married when the young singer was only 15 years old and R Kelly was 27.
And there's more. Our snitch told MediaTakeOut.com that the prosecutors wanted to introduce "love letters" from a 14 year old Aaliyah to R Kelly, and testimony from hip hop mogul Dame Dash (who was in a relationship with Aaliyah) and Aaliyah's family.
According to a person with intimate details of what went down, the defense argued that allowing such evidence would be inflammatory and "turn the trial into a media circus."
The judge has yet to rule on whether the prosecution can use the evidence.

The letters are CLEAR evidence, how could they not be especially if they are authenticated. Like so many others have said, Aaliyah will rest in peace regardless. This is about making R.Kelly pay for the crimes that he's committed. If he was your Average Joe, he would've been thrown UNDER the jail 5 years ago. The prosecution has a ton of evidence and if they need this letter to bring in more, I am all for it. Prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. The letter is most likely dated,that's why the prosecutors introduced it to the courts in the first place.

I think that they should bring evidence of his love affair and marriage to aaliyah to help stop him without having to bring her through the mud of course....but maybe her evidence will help stop him from doing this to other children....she was a victim too so i think that they should present the evidence with extreme caution to her family and fans and her
and i guess dame dash knows some things maybe aaliyah told him some things about the whole incident that may show she was molested or hurt in some form and fashion and if this is the case i know everyone will want justice for Aaliyah who knows what type of sexual acts he performed with her that she may not liked we don't know so she deserves justice gone or not ...this is about justice for these innocent children who happened to have been aaliyah as well..they all deserve justice let her help them with her evidence .....
