: The fight world is about to change. MediaTakeOut.com just EXCLUSIVELY learned that former heavyweight boxing champ has tentatively agreed to fight internet streetfighter Kimbo Slice under ProElite’s live fight division, EliteXC.
According to an insider at the company, Mike and Kimbo are set to fight "late this year or early next." But first things first, Kimbo has to win his fight next Saturday night against James "Colossus" Thompson. A fight that or insider claims is "going to be tough."

I'm not psyched about this. Tyson is past his prime and everyone knows it. Check out the film "Resurrecting the Champ" It's like Kimbo vs Samuel L's character. I understand Mike needs the money, nut I don't think the fight should be taken that seriously. Kimbo has been professionally training since he's been in the legitimate MMA world. We all know how Tyson feels about training, and there's nothing to suggest he's been in training since his last fight which I don't think was even broadcast.
Oh my goodness...had this been a fight when Mike was in his prime I would say Mike would win but I have seen Kimbo fight and he is a beast. But Kimbo street fights and I am sure with the rules it will be a good fight. Mike better bite his *** ear too. Looking at Kimbo I wouldn't want to bite anything on him.

If you're watching the Youtube clips, those were fights before Kimbo started training for the mainstream MMA fights. Yeah, he was a beast but his stamina was low. Now he has trainers (Discovery Channel aired a special on him) and the dude is SICK, I tell you. If Mike wins this one, it's rigged. Either way, win or lose, he'll stand to get major money, but he's a long way away from his Iron Mike days. Mike might be the better boxer, but we all know, MMA is NOT boxing.
Mike is a boxing historian and it's shameful that he wound up like many boxers of the past-broke. The man made 300-400 million dollars, and has much of nothing less. Now he's doing sideshow events. I remember listening to Steve Harvey a few years ago, and he's one of the biggest deniers of financial troubles for celebrities. He had Tyson on his show, and he had Michael Jackson on, and in both cases he said, "As man, that's just the media, you ain't broke." And of course they'd say no. It's just really, really sad.
If Tyson reflexes are even 1/3 of what they used to be, he can beat Kimbo's ***. That white man beat the hell out of Kimbo and he wasn't that fast. They keep trying to "stage" fights that they think Kimbo can win. I don't even think he can beat lower teir fighters in UFC. Thats why they created this *** league for him.
KIMBO is a young, strong, smart street fighter. While a rspected boxer, to others and myself, MIKE had his day and doesn't even keep a regimen like BERNHARD (Executioner) HOPKINS. I respect MIKE, but KIMBO is the man. This is his time in that circuit. Mike better chill and buy a ticket to see him fight somebody else.

I've seen all of Kimbo's video and what startle the *** out of me was he said he likes to knock *** out "ALL DAY LONG". And-I believe him. Don't let the foul look fool ya', he's very educated(college) and good at what he does. Kimbo and Mike both have that jaw-*** uppercut so this would be a fight to watch.
I don't think this fight would be good at all. Mike's face has gotten soft over the years, easily cut. If he couldn't beat some of the fighters he's faced the last couple years, he don't stand a chance with Kimbo. And Kimbo better wear some of thos ear protectors high school wrestlers wear. Plus I've never seen Mike throw a kick at anybody, which is what this ultimate fighting involves.

BigtymeMVP I'm with you on that one....I will forever be a Mike Tyson fan...I don't give a hippo's azz if he's fell on hard times...that man was the "one hit and quit" king! Mike was the best fighter in the 80's and early 90's. And believe this if Buster Douglas' mother hadn't passed away back when Tyson and him fought in 91...Tyson would probably been still champ for many years after that incident. That's what gave Buster strength was his Mom.
