I actually agree with Usher...Call me a *** if you want, but I still think God's intended way of love is between a man and a woman. The men need to step up for their women-otherwise they could be leaving for another man, or worse!

I, like a lot of other women, want a good black man. And I have no doubt they're out there. Problem is, the demand is outweighing the supply. There are way more available women than there are men. It's a bad ratio for women, who now have to compete with other women for the pick of the litter, so to speak (while the men have an abundance of women to choose from). And sorry to say, but when the picks of the litter are already taken, a lot of us are left with the scraps and scrubs......lol...but I'll keep hope alive!

I agree with Usher he has a good point. Have you all notice that DARK skinned men choose to pick a FAIR skinned women. I know this guy who is darkskinned and he says he was teased by his own people of how dark his skinned is. He said when he get older he was going to have kids with a fair skinned women. So his kids will not have to experience what he did when he was a child. When he made that comment, I realized that when I was in school Dark skinned people did get PICKED ON QUITE OFTEN.That just broke my heart. Its sad, we as a people should embrace all shades of black. I said this because its not always about how stong black women are and white women being easy. Unfortnately, in this society a fair skinned person is more acceptable.

I date white men; almost exclusively. Brothers don't want me...except when they see me with a white man. There are good Black men out there, but it is slim pickins out there. If they are not ***,in jail, on some stuff,have 20 kids, not working, then most of the ones who aren't are bi, have an ok job...living paycheck to paycheck, have crazy debt and poor credit. Out of a pool of 100 black men, I would estimate that there would be only 2 brothers who would be deemed to be "eligible" meaning, they are 100% straight, have a good job, decent credit, no kids, or if they do have kids,have enough disposable income after paying support to live decently, no criminal record, disease free, no drugs, are not momma's boys, and have some type of marketable skills. Out of those 2, only 1 would be interested in a black woman. What choices do we have than to date outside our race?

I'm a happily married woman with a successful black husband whose has never been to jail, doesn't sell drugs, or sit on his *** all day and chill with his friends. He's only 23 (I'm 20)and gets up 6 days a week and goes to work for sometimes 12 hours a day to support his family and we don't even have kids yet! But I know if we did he would only go harder because that's the kinda man he is...and I credit him everyday not only because we have a beautiful home and cars but because he supports me like a man of God should. Haha...I think Usher has a point on this one. He's not talking completely crazy. There is some truth to what he's saying. There are some good black men out, but the no-good ones definetly outnumber the good ones. But that isn't entirely why black women are becoming ***, others factors play a role too..i.e..the whole "***" trend in society period. Its like the thing to be *** now. It's so opened and embraced. You can easliy come come out of the closet and not care about what other people say or think becoz being *** is more accepted now then it was a few years ago. Being that this is so, it's makes it easier for black women to become *** or bi when there are not many good black men available or if they have been abused or mistreated by black men. I, however, don't think it's that *** serious to become a *** or bi just becoz there are supposely no good black men. If you can't find one in your own race, you can definetly find one outsied of it. Yes black women have one major issue loving herself in the correct way and liking what she is and what she has in common with other women. We are human and women first. I say this because black women are constantly hating on one another, reading the post on Beyonce, women were like, "whatever, she's average she ain't all that, i look better than her" why? that's hating...u dont know her and she doesn't know you. @Xclusive_Truth...I thinkg the majority of DL men are on the DL because they are COWARDS.We as women are emotionally and spirtually connected to our ***. Men can remove themselves emotinally and indulge in the physical better than a woman. I think its kindda harsh to say that they sleep with other men to hurt us. I'd like to touch on something else you said about good men being hard to come by. I think people are lazy. Most people don't realize that a relationship is HARD WORK. Maybe the man you wanted was a doctor, but that nice busdriver or plumber who has the potential to be great than he is may be that man too. Let's not look past what material possessions a person has but who the person truly is internally..you know. I know it's hard. I think people lost sight a long time ago of what is truly important in a relationship.I'm in a relationship 18 years and people ask us all the time how did u do it? We look at each other and answer...because WE want to be here. Anything worth having is work. When we talk of ourselves as a people we tend to gravitate to the lower species of our lineage and we are far more than the GHETTO. The ghetto is where some of us live... but it doesn't have to be who we are and how we define ourselves. Its time to stop blameing Black men for everything that goes wrong in a relationship. Some women feel that Black men dont take care of their children, then stopping having babies for that man, so that when you find the right one you dont have a ready made family with the father absent. If you know the man you with isnt good for you leave him alone, its just a concious decision, if he hits you one time leave him, why are you still there, if he cheats he cant do it by himself, find you somebody that loves you for you, that will respect you for the woman you were create to be.

How are you going to complain aobut brothers having 4 baby mother...most of you are someones baby mother. That is not a reason alone to write of a man. I stated earlier that neither me or my husband have children, but that was our choice. But, there are many brother's out there that have children that are good men. That are trying...check the word trying...That is the kind of brother you need to hold you down. On that is into his family and bringing them up right. Don't go out there trying to find a man (or woman) that is already established because guess what that is not your chit that is theirs and beleive me they will remind you of it. My husband and I are doing very well for ourselves, but we did it together. Are wealthe was made off of both our sweat...that is what made me and my husband better people. Of course we had problems. But we grew toegther...peopel have patience. Build a relationship with a person and quit going in with what can you do for me. I just can't beleive that TV, magazines and celebrities have so much control over these young women to beleive that a man's worth is in his pocket not in what he can achieve. I person who has already acheive the things in life that they want does not want a person who has nothing (unless they can bring something to the table other than ***). To EducatedNegro. I don't think some Black men have grasped the Biblical principle of taking care of home. Men are not suppposed to sit home if they are healthy and able bodied and not do anything. That's not God's intent. I want a man who will be able to provide for our family and our future generations as it states in the Bible. I want my Boaz. I don't have any kids and that's by my choice. I didn't want to have children without being married first. That's my belief, I don't sit in judgement of others who have done that, but that's just my belief and I'm 37. Yes, I want a man who is finanacially stable, so I can stay home and take care of our family. I used to be Ms. Independent, don't need a man,etc. but God revealed His plan for me and my life. I had to humble myself and realize that I am meant to be a Wife and a Mother, and when it is ordained by God, it will happen. Time is man made. @Ms_NYC...I just had a conversation earlier today with a girlfriend who is scared of being alone. I told her looke...it's ok to be alone, it's when you're lonely and alone that's when its a problem. People should be with people. Black/White/Red/Yellow....we are all one race and that's human. BLACK MEN...do not limit they're choices and neither should the BLACK WOMAN. And who knows...the black man for you sista's may not even be on this side of the world. He may be Canadian, Cape Verdean, Dominican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Jamaican, Haitian, Portugese, Italian, German. The buck doesn't have to stop anywhere.
