: MediaTakeOut.com has caught wind of a disturbing practice that celebrity gossip website TMZ appears to be doing in an attempt to increase traffic - RACE BAITING!!
What do we mean. Well, it appears that TMZ is intentionally allowing racist commentary on their website by users. And while its not clear why they would do something like this - our guess is that TMZ is doing so to increase interest in their articles.
MediaTakeOut.com has learned that before any comments can appear on the site - someone over at TMZ has to approve it. Knowing this, we find it curious how so much blatantly racist commentary makes its way onto the site whenever an African American celebrity is discussed.
The best example of this is Friday's report on Shante Broadus (Snoop's wife). MediaTakeOut.com got a hold of some blatantly racist comments that the TMZ staff approved as legitimate commentary. (See below)
Unfortunately there are no other Black websites - and apparently no other Black journalists - with the courage to say anything about it. We guess that since TMZ is owned by media giant Time Warner (the same company that owns Essence magazine, People Magazine and CNN) - everyone just closes their eyes and their mouths - and hopes that someday their silence will be rewarded.
But that's not us. Since MediaTakeOut.com is the most visited Black website in the world, we feel that we have an obligation to put those fools ON BLAST!!
Hopefully now that we're on to them, they'll change up their game ....
TMZ AND MEDIATAKEOUT bottom line is nothing but a Suite 202 office space full of FLAMING Apple/Mac Graphic Designer, downtown Chelsea area, San Franciscan, FLourescent Green pants wearing "Boys" with waaaaay too much sick & twisted fascination of OTHER people's lives to keep the minds preoccupied to what's really goin on.
