: Last night the Boston Celtics beat the L.A. Lakers 131-92. The Celtics did not just beat the Los Angeles Lakers, they crushed them. With the win, the Celtics claimed their 17th NBA championship. Longtime Celtic Paul Pierce won the Finals MVP.

Kobe was playing by hiself. The rest of the lakers are bums. Odom, gasol, fisher, etc., they just didnt step up. It was great to see KG finally win a title, his work ethic and passion for the game are contagious. Pierce, Allen Rondo, even the bench players all played like champs. Kobe was BY HIMSELF. The rest of the Lakers were non exsistant, which is probably why he wanted to be traded earlier in the year. Great Game!

Sorry guys, i got lost for a hot second...on a serious note though at the end of the 3rd quarter i knew there was no coming back for the Lakers...and that is when i got dressed, hopped in my car and proceeded to downtown to celebrate with the thousands upon thousands of other Celtic fans...real talk, Boston fnas r the truth when it comes to team pride!

Good to see KG finally get his ring. Allen and Pierce too. Been a long time coming.
I'm not a Kobe fan but it was sad to see him lose. He needs to reevaluate his game and his attitude and learn that he still needs to improve. He has to become 'coachable' in order to win on that level.
His teammates are better than most Lakers fans wanna admit but when your not 'coachable' and don't wanna learn anything, how can you teach. When others see a leader learn and grow, they're more willing to do the same because now he's showing his human side, which others can relate to(he's being a leader, get it!). He's showing that he does make mistakes, can admit em, learn from em, and move on.
Learning to depend on your teammates builds their confidence and strengthens their game. If you don't teach them that, as a leader, than how will they learn. That should be done in training camp, not in the Finals.
P.S. I'm tired of the Kobe vs. MJ comparisons so they need to stop. Every last NBA *** or great(or greatest) needed good role players around them in order to win a title or two and these 2 are no different(but the amount of help does factor into the equation, for me). I consider MJ the greatest because he did all of the things I stated above, plus some, which helped him to continuously elevate his game from year to year(not only offensively, but defensively as well).

I am so proud of my babies "Jesus", KG, and PP. They deserved to win. Kobe is a great player, but he is no match for the Three Amigo's. Ray Allen had family issues the day before and still came back and won the title. Paul Pierce deserved to win MVP. He is a veteran player and has been down with the team since the beginning. I was jumping up and *** when they won. My husband was going for the Flakers (Oops, I mean Lakers). He went to sleep at the end of the 3rd q-ter because he knew it was over! Like the news reported, "NO was, no how, not going to happen", when referring to the Lakers winning!!!

Read what I said above about the Kobe vs. MJ thing. ***, Paxson and Grant(Paxson and Grant won rings with the *** from 1991 - 1993 and didn't play with Rodman and *** never played with Paxson or Grant) were ok (they just knew how to play their positions well - *** on the wing with a decent jumper, Paxson was the 3-point specialist, along with Craig Hodges coming off the bench, and Grant down low for rebounding - team ball!). Scottie was a star and Rodman was an excellent rebounder(but he was also a hinderance. Mind you, Jordan was 33, Pippen was 30 and Rodman was 34 when they all hooked up in 1995-1996 so that argument is moot. Jordan and Rodman were what you would call "past their prime.") And don't forget Bill Russell always had at least 4 stars on his teams. He didn't do it all by himself. All of the superstars had help. ALL OF EM!!!! Just some had more help than others.
