: MediaTakeOut.com got an email yesterday from Russell Simmons' people asking us to post the below message. We guess he wants to try and clear things up. Well here it is - straight from the lips of Russy Simmons:
Friends of mine have forwarded me gossip online about my custody agreement details with Kimora. The fact is, we've had a pretty good partnership at sharing the girls in the past.You gotta wonder what Kimora's got on Russy that has him talking about her in such glowing terms .... How you doin' RUSS!!!!There have been a few bumps in the road, and those bumps have led us to negotiate a minimum amount of time I'm guaranteed to see my kids. That deal is as follows: I have the girls one full week out of every eight, half of the summer, half of all the holidays, a full week at Christmas, and half of Spring Break. Like in all good partnerships, contracts are meant to protect the partners but are usually not the only way the partners work together.
If I show up in L.A., where she now lives, unannounced, I can call up Kimora and she will most likely send them right over. The same goes for when she comes to New York. We have always had a school in New York and a school with the same curriculum in L.A., so when the girls are with me in New York, we can spend quality time together. I can get up with them, take them to school and just be together.
Kimora consults with me about doctors or schools for the girls, but she's always had final say in those areas. If we had an argument about a school, guess who's going to win? But there are other stipulations in our agreement where we have to make final decisions together. Anything having to do with business decisions pertaining to my kids cannot be done without my consent.
I've also seen a lot about people reading into the supervised visits stipulation. Kimora travels with a security guard and a nanny. In the past, she's gotten really nervous that I never travel with security, so if it makes her more comfortable to have her security and a nanny with us when I'm with my kids, that's OK with me.
Finally, I want to say Kimora is a excellent mother and is doing a great job with them. My kids are studying a couple of foreign languages, they travel around the world, they practice yoga, ballet, swimming, karate and piano, among other things...sometimes I think they do too much, but I trust in Kimora on this because she IS a good mother.
Regarding the money, my kids live a tremendous life. They do have lots of security, nannies, educators, special programs, travel, chefs, on and on. Their mother manages all of those luxuries and I'm happy to provide for that. With great love all things are possible."

A family that is working 2gether...that's beautiful!! He is doing what he should as a father- taking care of his children. If he were trying to reduce his child support payments that would be a bad thing and all over the news. I don't blame his crew for 4warding the email because they live such public lives. End speculation by putting it out there. Way to go Rus & Kimora!!!
he's a good man..but kimora is being greedy...20 g's a month is ridiculous and not necessary. she's sending their girls the wrong message imo. he's a better man than some. so willing to just comply with what she wants. but i dont think she should be trynna milk him like that -- regardless as to how much money he has.
I think she is being spiteful. I really do and I feel that it isn't right. It's just vindictive to create an income off of breeding. Yeah, I said it- it becomes breeding when your kids create wealth and added income for you. They are not puppies, horses or exotic creatures! I know they live a fabulous life, but all this money kinda cheapens and dilutes the concept of marriage. How can love be reduced to dollars?
BUT I DO THINK SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO SUE HIM FOR CHILD SUPPORT. SEE RUSS DON'T WANT NO PROBLEMS HE LOVE HIS KIDS TOO MUCH TO BRING THEM INTO THIS MESS. BY SUEING HIM U SAYING U DON'T TRUST HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF THEM WHEN U DIDN'T HAVE *** AND WASN'T NO TOP MODEL HE MADE U AND GOT U WHAT U HAVE NOW FAR AS BUSINESSES AND ETC. NOW SHE'S SUING FOR SUPPORT? THAT'S *** AND THATS THE ONLY THING I SEE WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE THAT THIS MAN MADE THIS STUCK UP *** AND NOW SHE'S PLAYING THIS ROLE LIKE HE WANT TAKE CARE OF HIS KIDS.
To each his own is say but it appears that Russell was only a means to an end. If true this is to *** scripted to be amicable. Russell you were no more than a one eyed trouser snake with dollar signs attached to it. I am always amazed how much the legal system favors the woman over the man even though it is supposed to be equal rights for both. Russell has only himself to blame because when you lay you have to pay. And you wonder why so many people say frig getting married. It seems pretty clear to me that Kimora had an agenda from the very start because if Russell had been just any guy and his career was a manager at McDonald's she would not have given him the time of day and would have never allowed him to get close enough to her to smell her perfume let alone place his seed in her.
Love has absolutely nothing at all to do with this, it was simply an prearranged agreement. Why is it that people do the shiggidy that they do to each other in the name of love anyway. More proof that love has nothing to do with it. Women have been using that thang to get what they want for all of time why would it change now?
Now, I ain't sayin' she a GOLDDIGGER.......I can't stand her attitude but admire her as a mother b/c she does that well. Kimora has done some messed up things to Russell(smh,cheating w/ Birdman & Mr.Give us our Free) but it's good to see that he's MATURE about the situations & looks like he has a good deal reguarding his Custody Agreement. I don't agree with some of the Materialistic things they provide for the kids b/c it's just teaching them Money rules all, not the value of a dollar but Russell needs to take the girls to ETHOPIA and let them see how chilidren there own age are living & break that Scheme that they see there mother is doing to there father. U know they see what's going on too and kids are smart nowadays, if he don't catch it while there young.....our grandkids will be reading about the same Scheme Akoi played on her husband.........History Repeating itself

But that is with any model and Russell knew what he was getting into, I believe there is a lot more to the story than meets the eye but hey if 480,000 is what is needed then that is what they will have only temporarily, after 2019 they are on their own. Also I understand the Beckhams having security guards but Kimora what person would do her girls harm> I don't know about that one.
I think that they just have a positive post marriage relationship and it should be left at that. Any multi millionaire who does NOT have security for their children are idiots because you never know who is plotting on the ransom angle..it happens so much more than people believe so that threat is real.
Kimora has her own money now and runs both Baby Phat and Phat fashions. She married a wealthy man and shared his wealth and created her own. The marriage is over but at least they are not trifling and slinging dirt on each other's name. You can not do anything but respect them both.
Kimora is such a spiteful, petty ***, this doesn't surprise me. His new girlfriend is definitely an upgrade. I watched her show a couple of times and that younger girl is such an obnoxious spoiled brat I would have to slap the ish out of her. Oh well in ten years the kids'll be coked out *** like the rest of the celebrity offspring.

Russell is a good man with great things going for him from what I see and seems like Kimora wants it all....I had a feeling she was a gold digger from the get go...how in the hell can she sue the man that gave her anything and everything she ever wanted for child support...***$hit!!!if he did these things for her ..what makes her think he wouldn't take care of his precious little girls... how can you even put a price tag on your kids!!!!

I don't see what the problem is. At least he isn't calling her out of her name and saying she is a horrible mother. It could be worse, MTO. I think this is a good thing, especially for the children. So many children are messed up because they see their parents fighting over some mess. Then sometimes the children end up the same way when they have kids. It's an ongoing cycle that needs to stop.
Why does KiKi have to have something on BDR? Maybe he is just responsible brother who provides for his children regardless of his status with their mother? I give BDR many props, in the father category. As he said, his Kids have a tremendous life and more brothers out there should take note. No - the average person can't do it like Russy, but you know what I mean.
