There are some other things she can do wrong... like sing live. The more I see her perform live, the more I don't like her voice. Her performances vocally are just boring. I know doing live shows is where the real money is for an artist, but she may do more to hurt her career than help it by singing live. She's just notgood at all. I don't know why she can be so hot right now, but artists like Monica and Ameree can't stay on top.

misships--you are so right. I googled Fefe Dobson and saw her pics. Rihanna definitely copied her look from this girl. I remember Fefe from a few years back when she was getting some really good buzz. i saw an interview and thought this girl is going to blow up because of her amazing style, personality and talent. but unfortunately, it seems to be taking a little longer for her to really make it big. This is not a coincidence that both girls images are so much the same and Fefe came out before Rihanna.
I am indifferent to Rihanna. if her music is on the radio, i will listen to it because it's on. I think she just got a lucky break in life and think that's great. not every artist will have raw, natural talent like Alicia Keys or Mariah Carey. im sure RiRi realizes she's an OK performer and is just going to make the best of this experience.
we all have met those people in our own lives who got a great opportunity because of a lucky break and not because they are the real deal. oh well.
I'm not really goint o talk about her dancing, 'cause I have rhythm myself. But I guess that's why I sit behind a desk when I work and not on stage. But she has the worse performances to me. So dull. If she can't dance...at least show some personality. I like most of her songs...but she has got to work on the performances seriously. When I see her doing a live performance I turn the tv for fear of falling asleep

MISSHIPS I agree with u 100%.Especially when you said that Rihanna didn't stay true to herself as an artist.That is why i simply don't respect her.She felt that changing her look,her music[genre] and getting "sexier" was the easiest way to getting more money and success.I mean what was the point of the whole cross-over thing?Exactly.She wasn't doing well as the Bajan girl singing RNB and dancehall music so she had to change who she was to please the public.People are appreciating her for who she is NOT.And yes she did jack Fefe's style.
Anywho I do believe there are others out there who deserve the success more than her,but it is all about popularity[not talent]now a days.I honestly think that if she wasn't good looking nor slim bodied,very few people would like her or acknowledge her existence because I can see many people don't find her to be that talented.Oh well.That's the truth of the business.All I know is I will never like her music or her because she reminds me of everything that is wrong with the business today.She is one of the sell-outs and I cannot appreciate that.Sorry,there is nothing about her I could admire and hopefully people will realize she aint all that and that a cool image and a hip single doesn't make you GREAT,a GOOD ROLE MODEL nor an IDOL.
