: MediaTakeOutcom has learned that popular 1970s actress Pam Grier is writing a Superhead-style book where she talks about all the juicy details of her life. Apparently Pam, who was the original Foxy Brown, dated Richard Pryor, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Freddie Prinze, Robert DeNiro, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Not sure we're too interested in reading this book - but figured we'd put it out there for y'all....
OH WOW MTO I DIDN'T KNOW YALL WAS OUT 20YRS AGO LMAO..(YEA SO WTF YALL TALKIN ABOUT?) ANYWAY I WOULD LIKE TO READ THIS BOOK......BUT UMMM WHEN DID SHE DATE SAMUEL L. JACKSON? FROM WAT I REMEM HE'S ALWAYS BEEN MARRIED AND B4 THAT HE WAS ONCE ON DRUGS & MARRIED.......CURIOUS....SO I MUST READ THIS BOOK.......I KNOW MY MOMS WOULD B INTERESTED SHE GREW UP IN THE 70'S.
First of all Superhead WISHES she was Pam Grier! Pam is an icon. She is currently playing Kit on Showtimes The L Word. I would absolutely read her book. I think it's a lot more interesting to read about what people were up to back then rather than the antics of hoe bags like Superhead in the hear and now. And I love how people are trashing her and her book. The damn thing hasn't evne been released yet people. Not to mention that it's MTO telling us what kind of book it's going to be. Consider the source!
@ JUICYCHIC SHE WAS NEVER TRASHY . HER AND I ARE THE SAME AGE AND WE BOTH STILL LOOK GOOD . AND TO ALL WHO THINKS SHE'S BROKE , SHE IS A RICH SEXY 60 YR OLD TODAY AND YES WE STILL KNOW HOW TO THROW DOWN . 60 DOESN'T MEAN YOU ARE DEAD AND ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU TOOK CARE OF YOUR SELF IN . PEOPLE THING IAM IN MY 40'S BUT IAM PROUD TO BE A 60YR OLD WHO IS HEALTHY AND STILL GET THOSE YOUNGINS BEGGING , I DO HAVE SOME SENSE I WOULD NEVER SLEEP WITH THEM BUT THE ATTENTION IS SO NICE. SO ALL YOU PRETTY YOUNG WOMEN TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND YOU WILL LAST LONG ,DON'T FORGET TO DO THOSE SWATS TO KEEP YOUR BUTT (LOL)
@ JUICYCHIK
FOR ONE EVERYONE SAYING TRASHY, HOE, STANK ETC. TELL ALL DOESN'T MEAN THAT. SEE U LOOKIN AT SUPERHEAD AND THINK THATS WHAT A TELL ALL BOOK IS. YEA SHE CAN TELL WHO SHE DATED, HER LIFE, AS A ACTRESS ETC. IT DON'T HAVE TO BE "O I REMEMBER WHEN I SUCKED SAM JACKSON DCK AND HE YELLED, YES THEY DESERVED TO DIE AND I HOPE THE BURN IN HELLLLL!" HAHAHA GET YO HEAD OUT THE SUPAHEAD GUTTA!
On another note: I'd been thinking for years that if anybody wrote an autobio, it should be her--given her groundbreaking roles and iconic stature.
The kiss and tell stuff?
I wasn't looking forward to that.
I was hoping for something classier, motivational, something that spoke to her struggles as a groundbreaking black woman.
Yes, Jayne Kennedy would be another groundbreaker who needs to leave a written history of her life behind for others to learn from and be motivated by. That woman was GORGEOUS!
I am actually interested in reading it. I think that it is not a bad idea. If she would have released it when it all was going down she would not have gotten any movie rolls and people would be talking sideways about her. At this point she is more than a grown lady so who cares what people say. She is still probably getting money from this she did previously that still play.
@TDR25....i definitely don't dissagree with you, a lot of those blackploitation actors and actresses did some sleeping around to get parts in some of those movies. pam in the days as well as most of the other actors weren't the best in their field (richard roundtree and ron o'neal were the only legitimate actors)but they did what they had to in order to be in showbiz.they are now respectable actors and businesspeople.and i enjoy some of those old movies to this very day.i still have respect for pam grier as well as melvin van pebbles (i'm feelin me some cleopatra jones too)
