MediaTakeOut.com spoke with one insider who claimed that their problems with Mariah started immediately. The insider explained, "When Mariah first met [Nick's mother], she came with all her handlers. It was almost like she was making a publicity stop ... Nick's mother didn't appreciate that."
But its more than just Mariah's diva ways that bother Nick's parents. MediaTakeOut.com learned that both Nick and his parents are devouted Christians and that Mariah's partying - and her drinking - causes them concern.

The real reason this is a rumor, however, is that Nick wasn't even raised by his parents. He was raised by his grandparents and I think later by his dad who is a minister. His parents were never married and I don't think his mom was even in the picture that much. She gave birth to him at the age of 19 after seriously considering an abortion. So I really doubt his parents are sitting around together somewhere conspiring against Mariah.

If Nick didn't like her drinking before he married her, then that was his decision to make when it came to that issue, he knows that she wouldn't stop because of him. There is nothing wrong with Mariah if anything it won't last beacause of his parents....they just need to worry about their relationship...I know they say always listen to your parents but, hey, can he live his life and learn from his mistakes?....what you think?
