: Could Jay Z be suffering his first major financial setback. MediaTakeOut.com is hearing whispers that the Rocafella's Las Vegas restaurant 40-40 may be up for sale. According to one snitch, the restaurant has been losing money hand over fist and a few of it's financial backers are looking to get out from underneath it.
Hopefully things will turn around ....
This is no rumor. I was just out in LV over the 4th of July weekend and we met some guys in the business out there and they told us to go to the 40/40 now before its gone. That Jay never marketed that spot right. They have gone through like 2 Managers since it opened.
So yes, this is very correct.
Also more proof is they started givine away at the 40/40 here in NYC open bar and free food from 5-8 M-F for only $40. Now anybody who knows that spot you cant get *** in their for $40.

I just saw a news report that in this economy that even Vegas is hurting and that never been the case no matter how hard times got. So this maybe true and I was in Vegas in Feb and people were telling me the entire city was getting very slow even during the normally busy season. And I'm a big Jay fan but no matter he's not hurting.
I believe this to be true. I was just there a couple of days ago. First of all, the club is in the Pollaza Hotel next to the Venetian. It's not on the same floor with the casino, it's on the Bottom floor, and it's confusing to get to. There are no signs in the building that directs you to the club, and when you finally do find it your unsure if you should go in or not, because it does not look open from the outside like most bars look lively from the outside in vegas. Once you go in, the place is beautiful, I've never seen a club that's looks so nice, but that's the problem, it's to nice for a sports bar. If it's going to strictly be a club at ***, then they should only open at ***. Instead its open all day, and the employees are being sent home because there are no customers. During the day most people look like they just come in to see how nice it is, take pictures and then they leave. Nobody stays to drink and watch games because it's to much. Jigga out did hisself with this club. Had he opened a regular line of sports bars that weren't so expensive he would have done better. Also this club looks like something that is geared for people with alot of money. The normal customer is not holding those type of figures, so my opinion upon leaving the club was that it would not be open that long. And for me to come to this website and see this post confirms it for me. Opening a sports bar is risky business, there's alot of overhead, and you have to have it in a good location. Like I said, beautiful club, but to sum it all up, it's a little to much for the normal person. Jigga you gotta be more people friendly everybody ain't ballin outta control.
Oh, have heard of his name for long. But didn't know himself. He did a great job in this. I know his affairs are warmly discussed at the interracial dating club on " I *** t e r r a c i a l L o v i *** g . C o M" where Men or Women can meet many sexual black and white girls or boys . Many girls love it very much.
It was a smart move to open the club in NYC even AC, but Vegas... Those types of clubs are a dime a dozen out there. Jay thought the white crowed was gonna flock to Vegas. But they haven't embraced Jay's swagger as yet. To me, the club is over rated. But those little as s hamburgers and fish sandwiches are the bomb.
I believe that place is for sell because I worked at 40 40 in Las Vegas. I hardly made money their and when I did, management would take it from us. When private events were booked we where told of a percentage that we would expect and would never receive it!!!! WE were all told that they did not get paid from these events, which is BS and when they get paid we will get paid. That place was THE WORST JOB and experience I ever went through at the work place. I'm disappointed that Jay-Z would affiliate his name with an establishment that does not care about there employees. I can't listen to his music the same anymore. When I see his face I'm disappointed. To this day they owe me money and a substantial amount of other former employes money that we worked for and never received. I left there not too long after it opened and nothing has changed. They believe in working there employes twelve hour *** no OT no BREAKS and treated with NO RESPECT!!!! I cannot see that place lasting long in Vegas. 40 40 Las Vegas has failed to comply with labor laws, its a matter of time. I should write a book I have so many stories about what it was like to work there.
I been to the one in NY and twice in Atlantic City. Once you get over the prices of the food and drinks plus the hope that a celebrity will walk in, what you have is a high-priced Friday's restaurant. The private rooms are really nice but the non-baller isn't ever gonna see them(unless you got deep pocket friends). You's do way better to rent out a VIP spot at a ***.
