@ GuessJeans, not coming at you on a hateful tip, just seeking to clarify....If you look at any IRR post on here, whether black man/white woman or black woman/white man or otherwise, I have always stated the same theme...That I am cool with people finding love wherever they find it...People have to go with what works for them and with what makes them happy. My only issue is when people feel the need to justify their choice of mate by bashing or putting down the women/men in their own race. My comment about Vivica is no different than the comment I made about The Rock last week....Have no problem with them being with whomever, they just chose not very attractive people this time around.
The common sense reality is that people can, and do, fall in love across all socioeconomic factors...Race, Class, Religion, etc...Its happened for centuries and it will continue to happen. My personal preferences in whom I date is PERSONAL to me...I know where my ultimate preference lies, but I don't begrudge a person who finds love in a different direction. My view is that if you don't like interracial coupling, then don't get in one, but don't go hating what others do in their lives and bedrooms...especially if they haven't hated on other black folks in the process....
Plus, at the end of the day, interracial couples of all types remain a very small minority of all couples, so it seems like a silly thing to get bent out of shape over.
As to the other issues, well lets just say its laughable to me....and that people may want to look at themselves before pointing fingers at others......This site is quick to post hateful things about black men...Hell, MTO posts *** just to get people to hate on black men....And when there are hundreds of comments..HUNDREDS..bashing and running down black men, I don't exactly see a herd of people running to defend us either...

If you just fell in love or have a preference for a particular skin tone then just say that. It is sad that this "rumor" has envoked so, much anger on this discussion board. I was once in a few relationships with white men, and I remembered how ignorantly black people behaved when they saw us. It was like black people assumed that because, I am also black that I needed their approval on whom I should date. I live in Chicago which is a very segragated city. When I go to the downtown area, I see large plenty of professional black men with white, hispanic and even asian women. It's such an oddity to see two black people together that when I see it, I can't help but stare. I am currently married to an attractive educated black man. Black women knowing he is married often flirt with him.....yet, they are wondering why, they haven't found anyone of their own, ummmm.
For all of you guys who make countless negative comments about black women in inter-racial relationships understand this....
1) That most black women are likely to become a single mother and NEVER a wife.
2) That the majority of black women are never even asked to get married in their lifetime. NEVER ASKED....meaning that NO ONE man has ever mentioned the words marry me to them! I have met plenty of these women in their 50's and even 60's that are still single waiting on their "black" prince.
3) That black culture isn't kind to "marriage" at all. Listen to the popular songs stating that they won't buy you a wedding ring, but they will buy jewerly from your neck to your wrist. Or, songs making comments about how they want to have *** but, now marry. This is the culture that "we" live in!
4) Black women who are successful are more likely to be alone because, their are VERY few black men in the corporate world. And, when a professional black woman get's married she is usually marrying someone that doesn't make half of her salary, can't purchase a home, and has kids already with someone else!!
5) The divorce rate amongst black people is EXTREMELY high. Truth is not only are we NOT getting married, we are breaking up within FIVE years of saying "I DO" because, of money problems and infidelity,and,...why is this? :(
6) Black kids are 89% more likely than ANY other race of kids to grow up in a home where their is NO father or father figure. So, not only are the MOTHERS of these kids not married NEITHER are their grand mothers! Who are the black boys learning to become men from black women are are raising them with the idea that black men leave!
7) That even with the increasing numbers of black men going to college they are LIGHT YEARS behind black women who made up 91% of the black college population in 2007.
8) As a married college educated woman, I have encountered tons of black men hitting on me and telling me that they themselves weren't meant to be married. Ummmmm, so....I guess they are saying they are just meant to f*ck? The SLAVE mentality that you all speak of is in the very songs that we buy. Why, does the black man have to make so, many comments about how he won't marry and what he will do sexually to a woman? Is it because, he was "breed" to be a breeder instead of a man?
