: MediaTakeOut.com told you two weeks ago that rapper Da Brat would cop to a 10 year prison sentence with 3 years mandatory jail time. Well now it's official:
Here's what some Atlanta newspaper that is about to have MASSIVE LAYOFFS is reporting:
A DeKalb County judge sentenced rapper Da Brat to three years in prison Friday for striking a woman with a rum bottle at an Atlanta-area nightclub.Ain't you glad you read MediaTakeOut.com. This is like old news to you...Superior Court Judge Gail Flake also sentenced the rapper, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, to seven years probation and 200 hours of community service.
In 2000, Da Brat, who was born Shawntae Harris, faced charges that she beat a woman with a gun during a dispute over VIP seating in a Buckhead nightclub.
The incident happened at a Halloween party at Studio 72 nightclub on Oct. 31 2007. The club is on Highway 29 near Tucker.

"The rapper was previously charged with felony aggravated assault for allegedly pistol-whipping someone at the Chili Pepper *** in Buckhead. Cops said she beat the woman for sitting in the VIP lounge and not leaving when Brat told her to. The victim suffered a cut on her face that required three stitches. Brat pled guilty to get the charge reduced to misdemeanor reckless conduct. She had to pay $1,000, serve 80 hours of community service and was on probation for a year."
What she did was a very stupid thing! I hate violence and I hate fcking ***. Beat a azz if it is necessary to defend yourself. That's how I get down but to *** this girl because she didn't leave VIP like she said and hit her in the face with a bottle. She deserves to go to jail. She was a celebrity picking on an average chick... an abuse her blessings. She needs a lesson on humility.
If Da Brat was smart, she would release her CD while she's in prison and when she gets out, she will do a double CD and get killed in a drive by a few months later. People will then say she faked her death, there will be an autopsy photo and 12 CD's released after her death.

The prison sentence stems from a November 2007 incident, in which Da Brat, born *** Harris, argued with Shala Stevens, a waitress working at Jermaine Dupri’s Club 72. Stevens, a budding model, Atlanta Falcons cheerleader and actress, suffered deep lacerations to her cheek and swelling to her forehead. Stevens, who is represented by power attorney Willie Gary and CK Hoffler in a civil lawsuit, also suffered permanent disfigurement and mental distress as a result of the attack. "Ms. Stevens is a cheerleader, choreographer, dancer, actress and entrepreneur, whose career has been greatly affected by this incident," Gary told the media in a previous statement. Stevens was also forced to pull out of an upcoming role on Tyler Perry’s sitcom House of Pain due to the injuries she sustained in the assault. Da Brat must also serve seven years of probation and complete 200 hours of community service. In 2000, Da Brat was charged with pistol whipping another patron at the Chili Pepper *** in Atlanta. She pleaded guilty, was fined and sentenced to a year of probation.

I understood where you were coming from bc it wasn't the first time I heard that. I heard that *** are more possessive than men and can get real "catty" about simple sh*t. Da Brat and Lisaraye are not real sisters. Lisaraye's family took Da Brat in when she was very young for some unknown reason, probably issues with her family. They do not have the same mother and father, but call themselves sisters.
