Wow, the headline is "Rapper Common watches Serena Williams win the U.S Open," instead of "Serena Williams wins her 9th grand slam, 3rd U.S Open and is again #1 in the world?" Wow. You could've said that Common was in attendance but she was the most important. -------------------------------------------- Co-sign.....Congrats to Serena...Sista is going to be the new #1 in the world!
Congrats Serena on your victory...Common I applaud you for being there to support her...why is it people tend to look at glamour, as opposed to one's personality...Most of that glamor some has, if you would have a conversation with a few, you'll find that if you look deep into their face, you'll find no glamour. Beauty is only skin deep...some with glamour lack intelligence, love and a pure heart with sincerity. I believe Serena and Common makes a wonderful couple, regardless of who say she looks like a man at times, her heart is pure, and truly a wonderful person to meet, very down to earth, and treatd everyone with respect and love.
I cried so hard when she collapsed into her fathers arms after she won! She and her sister have absolutely defied the odds to get to where they are. I am so proud of Venus and Serena, these women epitomize strength, beauty and grace! Meanwhile they get hated on by everyone, whites because they DOMINATE the sport of tennis, and they do it so effortlessly! And blacks because they don't conform to the standard of what society deems attractive. She was so unfazed and gracious when accepting her reward, meanwhile her rude, uncouth opponent kept interrupting the presenter yelling "How much did I win" It was poetic justice! The White girl acting ignorant and the Black woman presenting herself like a queen, totally at ease in her queendom. I hope our young girls can look at them and be inspired to believe that the potential for greatness lies within all of us...all we have to do is believe and not allow ourselves to be defined by the ignorant masses.
Hopefully the look on his mug was during the match. They should have shown him with a big Kool-Aid smile afetr she won.
I sense that this relationship is just a fling. Common looks like the type that want to sow his oats (as in babies). Serena does not seem like the type that is even thinking of that right now.
