I love this couple...Savannah is a very lovely girl...I didn't know they were expecting AGAIN though...I think at some point, they need to be discussing marriage if they're going to continue to reproduce...I mean I'm not the one to rush anyone into marriage, but I mean this is their 3rd child and they've been together since high school...Either stop with the reproducing or go ahead and get married...If James died right now, Savannah wouldn't have any legal rights to his estates/fortune...Only her kids...If he love her so much to continue to make kids with her, he should love her enough to make sure she is taken care of should something happen to him...
There are so many hateful people on this website it isn't even funny. If MTO posts a story featuring a black athlete with a spanish or white chick people hate. They post a story about Lebron and his BLACK girlfriend, people hate saying she's a golddigger and having kids only to cash in on child support. Lebron's girlfriend is an attractive young woman and they look good together, let's stop the madness for just one day.
@Lexia, you made a good point when you mentioned Savannah not having as large a claim to his estate without being married. I agree she does need to think smarter because if he marries someone else in the future and they have kids, it'll be the wife and those kids that get the majority of his assets.
I've just gained more respect for LeBron James because he didn't sellout like alot of these Black men who get a pastyface as soon as they get some money. If something happens to Lebron James his children's mother would be taken care of as well. As long as she's legal guardian/custodial parent and he signed paternity papers/birth certificates she will be taken care of as well. This just goes to show that single mothers left with children don't have the right information. All that should matter is taking care of the kids. We should look at our own relationships and see if we're any better than they are. Most of us are not. I don't care if you're married with children.. you are not better than anyone that has children without being married. I'm sure many of you also have some siblings that may number more than 3. Is everybody making comments have parents that's married? Don't lie! Some do, some don't but neither are better than the other. Black people let's just be happy that they produced healthy black children because the white race and maybe others want us extinct! I'd rather see Lebron and Savannah happy then to see Holly Berry and that dirty model (husband) she's with have babies! Lebron and Savannah keep our race alive, have about 5!
@esotericdredz: I think that has everything to do with it. You're right that paying child support is a lot cheaper than child support+alimony+settlemet. Since most athletes are never faithful that will also hurt them in court even if there is a prenup. Alex Rodriguez's wife is about to get a huge settlement for their divorce as she's cited abandonment as the reason for their split and she has proof he's been chronically unfaithful throughout their marriage. Also look at Michael Strahan's situation, his ex-wife came out of that divorce with a higher net worth than he did, and he still has to pay child support on top of that. I can definitely see why Lebron isn't rushing to the alter.
She is a pretty woman but he need to go ahead and make that commitment if he's gonna be knocking her up with children.Why not be a legit family? I mean,marriage is a traditional ritual practiced by all cultures to solidify your relationship/love.She's good enough to have your children,she's good enough to be your wife.

Yeah I can understand those reasons but I also look at the fact that MJ's wife was with him for about 20 years and had to put up with other women taking him to court claiming he was the father of their children and whatnot...Don't forget that when she first tried to divorce him, she changed her mind and agreed to try and work things out...But Michael just couldn't hold up on his end...Juanita went all of those years without a career and was raising their children...It should go without saying that she was entitled to a nice amount from MJ...I also believe that Mike was blackmailed into marrying her...but that's a different story...
And Michael Strahan just had a dumb a/s/s lawyer...I could've drawn up a pre-nup better than that...He made it way too easy for her to divorce him and take half, because truth was, he was definitely sleeping around alot on her...
Child support is cheaper than paying alimony/spousal support or whatever, however, just stop having kids until you're ready to marry...I can't promote that type of behavior no matter what the reason...Savannah is a sweetheart and you can tell she truly loves Lebron...If he doesn't feel he could trust her, than maybe he *** be having all these kids by her...I bet she doesn't even hassle him about it either...

Average? Most of these ball players are average themselves before they get that dough. Most celebrities period are. It's crazy when guys say that a guy can get a dime piece for all the money he has. @Lexia: I co sign, and you're right Michael Jordan was practically blackmailed into marrying Juanita. Not many people know this but after their first child was born she had her attorney file a palimony suit, threatening him into marrying her or causing a huge scandal. This was at the time when MJ was really starting to blow up signing his deals with Nike, McDonald's etc. so he married her out of fear that a scandal would cause him the loss of his endorsements. He even asked sports journalists not to report they had a son together until after they were married.
