virtually EVERYONE in hollywood wears a weave at one point. even if they have naturl long hair, most of the time its not about the length of the hair but about the "body" or "fullness" of the hair. so eventhough tamara has natural long hair, im guessing she has a weave in this pic just to make it look full. decembersag127, not all black women DO wear weaves, im one of them and know plenty of black women who dont.

I'm not surprised to see a comment like this, especially when you have several black folks who on and off of this site, subscribe to the notion that only the "mixed" people within the black community can have "good," long hair. This is why hair, period, will ALWAYS be a losing battle for black women. Some of you dilly broads aren't even aware that you are condoning a message that belittles your own self. I snicker at the idea that you have to be mixed to have "good," "long," hair. Is hair still "good" when it's full of damaged ends? Is hair still "good," despite the ate up edges? Is hair still "good" when the obvious signs of alopecia have set in? But I guess a pass is given to certain folks who possess a slight curl or wave pattern. As far as the picture goes, it is a very nice and natural looking weave. It is obvious to me that the top of the hair is natural and there are a few tracks added in the back for a little fullness and length. Its only obvious to me because my beautician specializes in natural looking extensions like this and does weaves just this good, no hoochiefied cheap azz ghetto weaves. If people have to question whether or not its a weave, that's when you know its done right.

Why do some of us have such backwards thinking! What is good or bad hair? It makes me laugh that term is still being used!!! LOL!!! Why do you have to be mixed to have long hair? My hair is down my back and healthy. I dont have a weave, nor is my hair texture curly. Most importantly I'm not mixed!!! A brown skin sista with thick, coarse hair. Wow! White people have done a really good job of brainwashing black folks into believing that all black women are either nappy headed or bald headed hoes. She is an attractive woman but I agree with all those that have said being half white does not mean one will have a head full of hair. What the Mowery's accomplished way back when is exactly what a good weave is supposed to accomplish. They made people believe all of the weave they wore was real hair grown from their half German scalp.( cause of course if you are part Euro you gotta have that ole "good" hair) Negative (twice). These women have worn weaves since Sister Sister. The reason for all of the specualtion nowadays is due to the nearly 2 decades of wearing fake hair. This is not hate nor speculation it is fact. Their styles get more and more wiggy/weavy looking surely because of more more hair loss/damage. The fact is a woman can not wear a weave forever and not experience hair loss. They started out with weaves and will finish with them. The only difference is as time goes on the weave will become more and more noticeable and weavy. Just like this one.
